We arrived in Nashville where we were booked through another hotel but under circumstances out of our control, we had to come to KW Marriott for one night. Shana was the one who helped us upon arrival and my gosh she was amazing. So polite, inviting and overall gave us such a good experience and feel that we ended up cancelling our other hotel to continue our stay at JW Marriott for the remainder of our stay in Nashville. She really needs a shoutout by the way she treats people! Exceptional. Room was great and pool was fun too! read more

The elevator not stopping on our floor, stopped on 11 and had to walk down a flight of stairs., also nobody never came and unlocked the mini fridge with the bar. asked three different times. tv would not work in room, constructinear the velvet stand which made everything a nightmare. valet's attendant was worthless had to go find someone to take my truck. oh they were at the velvet stand just playing on their phones. The bar on the top floor the host or whoever he was said there closing and no service at the bar. May we just look around for a second? he followed us to the bar and the bartender asked if we wanted a drink uh sure but I thought you we're closin. No sir you have 15-20 minutes I turned and looked at the host who said they were closed and I asked if we could sit and the end of the bar and he said that section is closed. so we ordered our drink and stood there drinking it and the bartender said we could have a seat at the other end of the bar where the host told us no. I've had better service at Fairfield Inn in Arkansas coming and headed back home than the stay in Nashville. Never again will I stay at the JW Nashville. Tried to let a manager know how their service is below Marriott standards and he could care a less Why shouldn't he care when we're paying 800.00 a night. read more

I went to the "Sweet Spot", the dessert tasting experience, and it was absolutely Fabulous. 5 STARS! Chef Daniel is so incredibly talented. He came out and described each of the seven desserts we were sampling. The service was impeccable. They checked on me constantly and everyone is so friendly. I stayed here for a conference in Nashville and this hotel ended up being the perfect choice. The location is unbeatable, it's directly across from the City Center Convention Center, so I was able to walk back and forth in just a couple of minutes. Super convenient! The lobby is gorgeous and gives you that "wow" feeling when you first walk in. My room was spacious, very clean, and nicely decorated. I also really appreciated how quiet it was, I was on the 6th floor and didn't hear a thing at night, which is rare when you're so close to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful any time I needed something, and the hotel itself felt very well kept. Another big plus: it's within walking distance to Broadway Street, so you can easily enjoy the nightlife, but still come back to a peaceful room to recharge. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here if you're in Nashville for business or fun. read more

It is a good hotel, in a great location: close enough to Broadway but not close to where you can't leave your hotel and have to hear shenanigans all night. The rooms are decently spacious, and the bathrooms are also large. Downsides are no bathtub, and the shower is very small and weak pressure for how large the space is. The pool is also nice, but the cabana pricing is some ridiculous money grab. I think for 3 hours it costs something in the ballpark of $900. I guess you get some set of sodas and a table, but the chairs outside are free anyway, and is that money really worth having a slightly more comfortable couch? I didn't see anybody rent a cabana so seems like the guests have chosen their spot on the supply and demand curve. The bar downstairs is great, and offers happy hour deals as well. The bar also produces some really good drinks. read more

Super nice hotel. Very comfortable bed, quiet room. Front desk was very accommodating. Everything was very clean. $60 a night valet parking, but safe parking is not easy to find in Nashville. They had plenty of valets working so we did not have to wait long for our car. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the hot tub for very long because the light was out of its housing and they closed it down for maintenance. read more

I always think it's crazy to be able to serve 500+ hot meals that taste great - but they did it. The check-in staff was fairly disappointing, yet the room cleaning staff was outstanding. I attended a brunch here recently in the ballroom. High capacity event of a few hundred people. I was really impressed that it went off without a hitch. Service was impeccable and there was no congestion at all, even with the number of attendees. The food quality was pretty good. Overall I think if you need to have a high capacity event this is a good place to do so, on the front end at least. read more

Felt absolutely ZERO HOSPITALITY. We're here for a convention and our coordinator on our part failed to confirm our reservation. But the front desk didn't pretend t in care or try to assist, just asked us to step aside and let the customer behind us to come to the counter. I travel a lot and it extremely rare to witness this kind of service. We were told it is a busy weekend and too busy to help. We had to stay with our group so staying in another hotel really wasn't an option. We went on line and booked a room in minutes, so no vacancy was not the issue, just a lack of hospitality was. Our convention brings in thousands of attendees and this is not the way to treat people even if we weren't part of a huge group. read more

This is one of my favorite hotels. Absolutely beautifully done, large valet area to keep you off the street. I always get the corner king which leaves you with stunning views of the Nashville area, glass from floor to ceiling, even in the bathroom. If I could change anything I would add a couple more elevators. During the busy times it can take a little bit to get one in the lobby but normally it isn't a problem. We stayed early February on a Thursday to a Sunday with two kids (7 & 4). We had a room on the 29th floor with a view of the Music City Center - queen room. As soon as you walk in the lobby, you can see how impressive this hotel is and how well it is maintained and cared for. There is always someone cleaning, sweeping, mopping, etc. It looked pristine the entire time we stayed. Our room had plenty of space for the 4 of us to have suitcases and stuff around the room. The floor to ceiling windows were amazing and the view was lovely - great sunrises. Blackout curtains were legit, too. Beds were comfortable (on the softer side) and big fluffy pillows. There was a large desk, two benches and an arm chair that came in handy for organizing our stuff. There was a closet, but we did not use it. It came with robes and slippers - the kids loved the slippers! The bathroom is very spacious with a separate toilet room. Large glass shower with pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a bar of soap - they smelled SO good, very Aveda like. Vanity had two sinks, large mirror, makeup mirror on the wall, bottle of lotion, and some other vanity items. Plenty of towels, too. The room does have a coffee / bar area that has the coffee machine, rocks glasses and wine glasses. The mini fridge is stocked with beverages and there are some snacks, as well. I did ask if we could have the mini bar items removed (as to not temp the kids), however, they said they couldn't remove the items but they could bring up an extra mini fridge for us to use, which was appreciated. Small things that I appreciated - hook by the door for coats or purses and the button display for privacy, etc. For some reason we thought they had an indoor pool, however, we were happy to hear the outdoor pool was heated. The weather was 55+ that weekend and it was perfect swimming weather for the kids. We had the pool to ourselves the whole time! Huge outdoor area, so this would be amazing in the summer with all the cabanas, and Cabana Club bar, etc. Hubby used the gym and said it was awesome - great machines, clean, bright, etc. We grabbed some quick snacks and breakfast at Stompin' Grounds Market a few days and it was SO good. We didn't get a chance to eat in the Stompin' Grounds restaurant, but it looked amazing. Super cute. We did not dine at Bourbon Steak on the 34th floor - but we did go up to see the views one night and then another night to sit at the bar and grab a cocktail (we were lucky to grab a seat!). The views... OMG the views! You have to come up to just see the views! The Bourbon Sky windows were all closed, so it wasn't open air as it would be in warmer months, but it was stunning nonetheless. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night - clearly! Make reservations! And if you want Bourbon... this is your place to go! Staff was great, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was busy as there was a convention right across the street but it never felt crowded and it always looked polished and shiny. Another huge perk was the proximity to all the things - 2 blocks from Broadway, across the street from the convention center, 1 block from the arena, 2 blocks from the concert venue and tons of restaurants, bars, breweries all within walking distance! Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a higher end hotel in Nashville. read more

The JW is a beautiful luxury hotel. Service was consistently excellent. the common spaces were nicely designed, welcoming, attractive. We stayed in an executive suite, with separate living and bedroom spaces. Bathroom spacious and high quality. There was a mini bar, including snacks and cold drinks, which is convenient, but no space if you have anything of your own you'd like to chill. The 'smart' TV was a bit confused. It displayed two different volumes at the same time anytime you raised or lowered the volume. It constantly displayed 'function not available now' pretty much anytime you touched anything on the remote. It does provide Netflix and Prime, but the 'connect your device' does not work, the website it directs you to returns a 'not found' error. It's possible on the remote to get to hdmi2, to theoretically connect another device directly, but you can't physically get to hdmi2 to plug anything in because the TV is hung hard to the wall. So plan to stick with Netflix, Prime, live channels, and annoying error messages. The most surprising thing about the suite, and the biggest reason I couldn't get them to 5 stars, is the couch in the living space was horrible. It was the quality of a couch you'd see dumped by the side of a road. It was a pull out sofa, for when additional people are sharing the suite, but sunk so low, you were not more than a foot above the floor when you tried to sit on it. I stopped using it, and the wife hurt her back sitting on it. It's just shocking to me that a beautiful luxury hotel like the JW would have such a thrift store reject in a suite living space. Fortunately the two chairs by the living room table were reasonably comfortable. Perhaps the biggest pro is that it's a quick elevator ride up to Bourbon Steak, an absolutely fabulous, albeit expensive, restaurant. We'll certainly be booking more stays at the JW, it's a beautiful hotel in a great location. But I expect we'll stick with standard rooms until we know they've fixed the living room couch issue. Look forward to updating to 5 stars our first stay after new couches are installed. read more

The JW Nashville was an utter disappointment. I tried allowing management to make it right before I posted this publicly, but they did nothing to reconcile. I spent $464 on one night at this hotel to celebrate my best friend's 30th birthday, but it was one of the worst decisions I've made. - The rooms were run down. The first room they placed us in had a musty smell, was hot, carpet was torn, and there were black scuff marks on the tv stand/desk. - 2nd room they assigned us to had black scuff marks along the walls, hair in the bathroom floor, carpet was torn, and the tv stand/desk was beaten up with markings - I called in advance to inform the front desk I was staying to celebrate my friend's birthday and that we'd be arriving an hour after the original check-in. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to see the staff hadn't placed the birthday macaroons in the room. Later that night upon our return from dinner and drinks, they left a plastic box of macaroons with no happy birthday sign. This isn't the hospitality I'd expect at a four-star hotel. - This four-star hotel didn't do turn down service and I was told they don't allow late checkout. I only asked to check out 1 hour later to experience the pool. The only pros about this hotel are the beautiful lobby and pool area. Other than that, I regret not spending $100 more to stay at the Four Seasons. read more

Prime location for sure!!! During my visit here a few months ago , I was able to walk most places. Lots of things in close proximity of this beautiful hotel. Very nice staff from check in to check out. The room was extremely cozy and the bathroom was heavenly. I literally could have slept there because it was so spacious. I loved it! Soft bed and fluffy pillows. Amazing! I even utilized the gym during my visit. Nice cardio section, free weights and equipment. Oh and a view! I rarely workout while on vacay but I had to take advantage of this facility. So nice! I was here for three nights/4 days. The hotel amenities all came in handy. The stay was very relaxing and enjoyable! Only downside was the bellman didn't load my pillow into the car at checkout after my luggage was in the hotel holding area. I notified the hotel reception by phone (since I was no longer in the area) when I realized I didn't have my pillow. They took my information and told me they would check lost and found. I never got my pillow or a follow up call. Nothing! Oh well ...... would have been 5 stars otherwise but the pillow incident didn't sit well with me. read more

Horrible! The service and staff are horrible. The staff is rude and not at all accommodating. As an elite marriot member, I assured for a room change and they told me I had to pay an additional $100 for the room when the room was the exact rate I was already paying. They wouldn't allow me to do a late check out claiming they were fully booked when I knew that was a lie because I looked online and they had availability. The person that checked me in was extremely rude and didn't even tell me the amount he was charging my card for. Them at check out they tried charging me an additional $200 and had charged for items that I didn't have! The hotel itself is nice but the staff is rude and scammy! Not sure that I will stay here again. read more

Driving through town we stayed for a night. Getting to the hotel around 6pm on Friday night wasn't too busy. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean. Fitness center is nice but was disappointed that they didn't have an indoor pool. Outdoor pool was available but weather was too cool for it. I wish water pressure was more hard in the shower but wasn't too bad. Bed was comfortable so we had a good sleep. Staffs were all wearing masks. Tried to have a breakfast around 9am and had 10 waits ahead of us. The host couldn't give us an estimated time other than there were ten waits before us. So we didn't wait around and left. Recommend coming down for breakfast before 8am. Coffee line seemed long around 9am so we skipped that too. We were just in a hurry to get out. Otherwise I would've tried it. read more

After a horrendous customer service experience for my family (that includes waiting 9 hours for a simple request), I was given 50,000 extra Marriot points to "appease my dissatisfaction." When you consider that 50,000 points gets me a simple room at any Marriot location and my room was the Penthouse Suite at the JW, I think the management at the JW must be really bad at math. Bottom line is that I will continue to post 1-star reviews into the foreseeable future so that travelers choose another hotel. It's the JW so a 5-star experience is expected. We were greeted as we entered their spacious lobby and directed to the Bonvoy check-in kiosk. Throughout our stay we experienced exceptional service. Check-in was a breeze and we were upgraded and provided access to their Exec Club which is a great benefit. All those years as a road warrior still pay off. Our room was a typical JW room with a great view and a more than comfortable king bed and a very large walk in shower (with plenty of hot water!). The executive lounge was well staffed and offered a good breakfast, coffee, and plenty of bottled water. In the evening a simple snack/dinner buffet was offered. As others have mentioned the fitness center is quite large with plenty of aerobic/cardio and workout machines. There is also a large room to stretch out or to do your individual workout. The steak house/bar on the top floor is always busy and the views from the lounge are pretty cool. When we were there we were fortunate enough to catch a fireworks display. Last but not least the location is perfect. It's just far enough away from the bar action on South Broadway but still only a 10 minute walk to get your honkey tonk on! read more

Conference halls are very well appointed, comfortable and has great staff. Set up for breakfast, lunch and evening reception was fantastic. They were constantly clearing our plates and glasses. My room on the 20th floor had gorgeous views. They provided complimentary bottles of water which was replenished daily. Housekeeping does a great job. Shower is fantastic, love the aromatherapy products. Service from all of their staff is exceptional. read more

What I can't understand is why hotel rooms can not be designed to allow for complete darkness the photo will show the results. This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It is pricey, but worth it for the customer service and amenities. The higher price means that you get a lot less rowdy tourists and bachelor/bachelorette parties as well. We arrived way before check-in, and just hoped to have them hold our luggage for a few hours so we could grab some lunch. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the room was ready for us. The check-in process was a breeze and throughout the stay every staff member we encountered was so friendly, accommodating, and made the stay super nice. That is a rarity these days, even at 5-star accommodations. The room itself was spacious and we had a great view. It was equipped with nice touches like a sound machine on the nightstand. The only "issue" I have with the room is that the bathroom isn't super private. There is a barn door to close off the bathroom from the room, and then the toilet room has a thing door with shutters on it. It wasn't a huge deal, but I prefer at least to have the toilet a bit more private. Even with both doors closed, sounds could escape into the main space pretty easily (trying to put this delicately). The steak house and bar on the roof were amazing. We went up a couple times, and I wished they would have had the doors open to the outside. I'm not sure if that is weather or wind dependent, but we never caught them with those doors open. Still an incredible view of downtown. The pool area looked awesome, but our schedule and the weather didn't leave us much time to enjoy it. It rained off and on during our stay. The coffee shop in the lobby was amazing. Excellent pastries, drinks, and the ice cream appeared to be a big hit as well. I really enjoyed the time at the JW, and can't recommend it highly enough. read more
