Dake Sushi is a fairly decent sushi restaurant. Simi Valley has so many sushi options, but I am happy to see that Dake is surviving so far. They do have an AYCE menu option for $40 per person, or $45 if you want some of their premium options, but we were disappointed to find out that they do not offer halibut sashimi which really is our favorite. Still a decent option when you are feeling super hungry. Beware if you order their ramen as a "starter" with your AYCE. They seem to give the equivalent of 2 ramen packets worth of noodles in a large bowl, assumingly to fill you up on that so you don't eat as much of their fish. We did order quite a bit, but honestly, they claimed that they had brought everything out that we had ordered but we were missing our freshwater eel sushi and our sashimi salad. Thank goodness because we were stuffed almost beyond our limits when we left. read more

We were very excited to try this place. My friend and I went for all you can eat lunch on a Tuesday. The service was extremely slow. It took 2 1/2 hours to get two rounds of all you can eat and we didn't even get all that we ordered, even after telling the waitress that we were missing food. We didn't even bother ordering the third round because we were tired of waiting. It is unfortunate because the food that we did get was actually very good. I got a pleasant surprise yesterday when taking the wife and mother in law to Dake Sushi. Why? Because we discovered the best all you can eat sushi in the area! Yes, even the fancy places in T.O. pale in comparison to Dake. Do you like tuna? Well, he only had Bluefin! Ever had real wasabi? That's what they serve and it's so much better than the fake stuff! Do you like salmon, octopus, ikura, and albacore? I've *never* had better outside of Japan, Nobu or Simi's Tanaka Sushi (Tanakasan, we miss you!) Dake is now our go to sushi restaurant! On to dinner. Once we mentioned that we were having AYCE, our sushi chef handed over a couple slices (each) of bluefin, followed with a smoky and amazingly delicious seared bluefin on a California Roll. We were sold at that point, and ordered way too much sushi! I was enjoying the food so much that I forgot to take pictures, and everything was both delicious and aesthetically pleasing!
