My wife and I are from California. We came to Dakota V-Twin with the cams, oil pump, and related parts from my wife's bike in a box the Saturday before Rally week started. A dealer in Wyoming took it apart because of valve train noise, but found nothing wrong. Dakota V-Twin put it back together for us, fixed the noise it was originally torn down to find, and charged us one third of the dealer's quote even though their tech worked on it until 9:30 on Sunday night to finish it so my wife could ride the Black Hills! This kind of service and dedication are unheard of! I can't speak highly enough of Dakota V-Twin, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs parts, service, or repairs. I went to Sturgis SD with a group of riders AUG 2010 for the rally, and we stayed in Spearfish. One of the bikes (80's model Softail) developed a power loss and bad idle that we could not readily identify. The biggest issue for us to correctly identifying the issue is that the owner stated to us that the coil was brand new and it rode fine all day, or it would have been our first choice of issues. After doing all of the usual checks, the owner took the his HD to DVT on a Sunday afternoon for diagnosis. Monday morning, they had correctly identified the coil as the issue and had replacement in stock. They also performed an oil change. The bike was fine the rest of the week. A few days later, another bike (Ultra Classic) had a rear tire blow out 90 miles away. We left the bike in Broadus overnight with a car repair shop and traveled back to Spearfish. We stopped at DVT the next morning, and they actually had a Metzler Wide WW tire in stock (what are the odds??) and opened up a ticket that morning as we proceeded to pick up the bike. Three hours later, we pulled into DVT with the bike on our trailer. DVT was jammed due to bike week, but had an open lift ready for us, and replaced the tire. The owner and mechanics were top rate, very friendly, honest, and the service was prompt. They did not "rape" us on the prices just because we were from out of state (VA) and they could. Taking the summer off to ride my Bucket List..Decided to finally pull the trigger on a Stage 1 Kit for my Dyna. Randy and his crew were knowledgeable, polite and professional. Gave me great advice and did the work in a timely manner. I couldn't be happier with the improved performance they gave my bike. I only wish the shop was closer to Virginia. Friendly and professional shop. Brought my Superglide in with dead brake switch during the Sturgis rally. They replaced the switch and got me back on the road in less than an hour. I highly recommended them, whatever your problem. read more

I had an issue with the cruse control on my Victory Vision during the Sturgis Rally. Randy made the time to fix this for me. I can't thank the team at Dakota V Twin enough. Ladies and Gents, my name is Terry, I live in Fl. This place, Im tellin ya now, It DONT git no better, Ive had work done in Fl. Ill. and S Dakota, heres why this place is five star. First off they answered the Phone during the rally week out here in Sturgis, I spoke with Tammy, she was most helpful and courtious.. Theres about 200 thousand bikers out here , and they were very VERY busy. They had my bike in the back of the shop and was workin on it in under ten minutes..TEN MINUTES... This here fella Randy P. Jesus Christ, hes as good as they come, good or better. He did all I asked, and he did it fast, and he explained, and not in a condisending manner , everything he did, NOt only did he fix it , he also put in a back up starter system for me, ( My Harley Wldnt start ).
