A dealer in Wyoming took it apart because of valve train noise, but found nothing wrong. Dakota V-Twin put it back together for us, fixed the noise it was originally torn down to find, and charged us one third of the dealer's quote even though their tech worked on it until 9:30 on Sunday night to finish it so my wife could ride the Black Hills! This kind of service and dedication are unheard of! I can't speak highly enough of Dakota V-Twin, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs parts, service, or repairs. The next day I had to call and request status only to find out the tech assigned was out. They called back an hour later saying it was ready to pick up. Today we went and picked it up. The battery was not replaced. The service manager had an opportunity to make it right before we even walked out the door and chose not to do anything. When we got home we discovered the air filter was not replaced either- $269 later. Im even questioning if they replaced the oil. We will no longer be doing business with them and don't recommend them. Shady and not trustworthy.
