He did a thorough inspection and magically got the oven working as it should again, without having to replace any parts. If he had been a less scrupulous and responsible professional, he could have charged us to replace a part unnecessarily. Instead, he left his contact info so we could let him know if the problem returned, with the plan to order the part then, and only then. Even though it was the end of the business day, he stayed longer to be sure the oven maintained its temperature correctly. Throughout, he was friendly and professional, a pleasure to work with. He was able to look at our washer, dryer, vent hood and fridge waterline. The Good Was able to schedule Jason to come out next day without issue. Came on time, courteous and thorough. The Better He was able to identify some root causes of potential issues for our appliances. Only downside is would note was there were a lot of "follow ups" around how to get them fixed which ended up with me running out to the store to address (buying small parts etc). He went as far as to getting on FaceTime with me and I was able to catch that the dryer vent had completely disconnected from the dryer and we were able to get Abt out to repair it asap (it was their fault during a washer repair) as it was a fire hazard. I had already made 3 prior calls to other technicians and Mark was the only one that gave me what it would cost to repair my dryer. Others wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee and then if I decided to go with them, they would reduce the diagnostic fee. But after I explained to Mark what my dryer was doing, he told me exactly what it could be and how much it would cost. Mark did not cover the area I live at, but he was willing to come by me and repair my dryer. Mark used to be a technician at Sears, so I felt very comfortable with him because I had purchased my Electrolux machines from Sears in 2010. He was very friendly and knew what he was doing. It took time to take my dryer apart to get to where the ignitor was. He replaced it with a new one and assembled everything back the way it was. He even gave me a Veteran's discount, which I was very pleased. Mark's price was very reasonable, but most importantly, he did a great job and repaired my dryer on the spot. We've had Leonardi out for two appliance repairs in the last four months, and we won't be using them again. The first visit was for a dishwasher that had stopped getting the dishes clean. After a $300+ repair, it leaked the very next time we used it, causing over $2,000 in damage. That repair should never have been done, and the technician should have advised us to replace the unit. We gave them the benefit of the doubt that he did what he thought was best and called them back for a dryer issue. This technician said nothing was wrong, yet the problem has continued. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. There won't be a third time.
