We came here for a table of three on a Saturday evening at exactly 5 PM. It was Labor Day weekend. Great center easy to park. Was seated quickly our waitress was very nice and was perfectly tentative. Immediately we enjoyed the vibe. Had all of my favorite K-pop mix. I could've sworn they were playing my Spotify daily mix videos. Menu wasn't huge, but everything that we got was amazing.. Son, husband and I enjoyed all of our dishes. Bossam is a must come again for! Perfectly boiled sliced pork belly that you layer yourself with shredded fresh green onion, sliced raw garlic, strips of kimchi radish, some sort of pickled radish, and a ssamjang sauce. The pork alone was amazing and the portion was huge! We barely made a dent in the platter. The kimchi jjigae stew was sooo good too! The broth was savory, just enough spicy, it has a pork riblet stewed in it that was cooked perfectly. Came out to our table still bubbling.. Takoyaki was pretty standard, but what made it a little extra was that you could tell it actually had two pieces of octopus and each ball most places only have one. It was moist on the inside, but firm on the outside perfect amount of sauce on top. Bulgogi was a good size. Portion flavor was spot on beef with sliced nicely and very tender however, there was nothing outstanding besides the portion. Cheese corn was pretty standard as well, but oddly the corn kernels were very sweet and tender so that was very nice. I couldn't tell if it was fresh corn or frozen corn. I was leaning towards it being fresh corn because the kernels popped very nicely and were so sweet. I'm pretty sure they fooled me and it was frozen corn. The staff was so nice. They gave us an order of fried dumplings on the house. And that was very delicious. We will most likely order this next time. It was a perfect mixture of meat and vegetables. The skin wasn't too thick so it wasn't overly chewy or hard but perfectly crispy. The restaurant is on the smaller side. I can see it getting very packed very quickly. Came here late after a concert and THANK GOODNESS they were open because this place ended up being such a spot! The vibe is very hole-in-the-wall chic :) Loved the glowing moon wallpaper and walls covered in soju bottle caps. My expectations were pretty neutral... until the food came out. We ordered the tteokbokki, seafood pancake, and chadol gui beef brisket ... honestly, if I had a heaven, all three would be waiting for me there. Everything came out super fast and was SO GOOD. It is sooo good and unlike any other bossam I've had before. It's thinner and the edges were chewy. Sooo tasty and with the garlic, green onion, and jalapeno it's literally the perfect bite. The ddukbokki was solid too. Rice cakes had lots of flavor and I love fish cake. It was a tad bit too sweet for me though. Had a birthday dinner here and we all thought that the food was so good! The decor has a night theme, with a moon and stars on the wall. There were also bottle caps on the wall where we were sitting. My friend's daughter was hesitant to try the bassam, but she ended up loving it. We also had the fried dumplings and they were nice and crispy. Came here on a Thursday night around 10am with a party of 3. The restaurant was fairly empty, though it did start to get busy soon after. There was parking available in the plaza as most other businesses there were closed for the day. We ordered the ddukbokki, soy garlic chicken wings, bulgogi and bossam (forgot to take a photo of that one). The ddukbokki and wings were pretty good and flavorful. After an EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING experience trying to get to the diner inside the Lafayette Hotel, we were now scrambling to find a late night eatery around 11 PM. We saw that Dalbam Moon Night was open and halfway through our meal we hit last call, so it was cutting it pretty close but we were able to get seated at a table and the place was packed. Late night K food goes hard, especially if you want some nice greasy or junk food-y dishes with some soju or beer. Service was efficient and I like the wooden look with the K pop celebs advertising the alcohol. Classic. For our super late night dinner, we got the: 1) Bulgogi Fries: -Easy to eat and massive amount of food for what you get. In hindsight, probably shouldn't have ordered this since it's a more common dish and fries aren't that good when they go cold and stale. Since we were tourists going home the next day, we couldn't eat the massive amount of leftovers we had from this. RIP. I'll keep this in mind next time. -This comes with crispy fries topped with marinated beef and melted cheese. You get the sweet spicy kick and they don't skimp out on the beef too. Definitely a junky snack food type appetizer making it easy to share especially with how much they give you. 2) Bossam: -Comes with the bossam, lots of jalapenos and garlic, sliced green onions and ssamjang dipping sauce. Nice cold dish to balance out the heavier dishes that we got. 3) Spicy Cheese Samgyupsal: -Comes out sizzling hot with all the cheese on top. It's stir fried pork belly with cheese. Nice spicy, yet sweet kick to it. Loved the crispy bits of the pork bell. Can eat it on its own but definitely tastes better accompanied with rice. We also got a side of rice to go with all of the protein that we ordered and we also got some small kimchi, fishcake, and slaw banchan. Solid Korean drinking and drinking food spot, even if you don't drink like me. Appreciate the generous portions and the later hours here. Not bad. The restaurant has a free 90 minute parking if you're a patron. It was a cute, yet dark restaurant. Booths were towards the sides with cute stars and a light up moon. Soju bottle caps were wedged in between the walls. The menu was straight forward. We ordered the bossam, bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, and two beers. The bossam was delicious! Marinated and came with garlic cloves, pickled lettuce, onions, and dipping. The kimchi fried rice was a bit soggy, while the bulgogi was okay. We were there for a quick meal, then enjoyed our beers. I got off work past 9 PM last night and was craving dinner, so I looked up restaurants and found this Korean spot on Convoy that stays open until 1 AM. Once I walked in, I immediately saw it's the perfect late-night hangout with such a great vibe. It's styled like a cozy Korean pojangmacha pub, K-pop tracks playing nonstop, and the lighting sets such a nice mood. The three of us ordered bossam, and it was absolutely incredible!! The pork belly had the perfect balance of fat and lean meat--it's their signature dish for a reason. I couldn't stop giving it thumbs up This dish alone guarantees I'll be coming back for more. We also got spicy beef soup, which was rich, hearty and delicious, plus cold noodle soup. The cold noodles were decent but nothing mind-blowing. Next time I want to try classic Korean comfort foods like seafood pancake and cheesy spicy stir-fried chicken. Corn cheese is another highly recommended item here too. Our three dishes totaled $71, around $24 per person--pretty reasonable, and we left completely stuffed. It was only 10:30 when we headed out, and there was already a line forming out the door. Ok... BEST seafood pancake in Convoy. No arguments, no debates, end of discussion lol. My girlfriend and I keep joking about gatekeeping this spot because it's not as crowded as other Convoy restaurants. Their marinated Bossam is unmatched - thick, juicy cuts of pork, pairs great with their dipping sauce, and all the right sides. Perfect with a couple bottles of soju (or 4). Our server and the manager were super friendly and even hooked us up with a free plate of corn cheese. Not sure if it was because we ordered a good amount or if they're just that generous, but either way, it gave us a chance to try the dish. This place was absolutely phenomenal! I came in with my wife and my cousin-in-law and we all loved this place. We came hungry and definitely left full, and even had enough leftover to bring home! Came here with some friends after a long night of practice at around 11pm. They're open late, some days until 1 am, so it's the perfect spot for late night dinners. Korean food is usually quite expensive, but we got our money's worth here. My friend and I shared a Korean Army Stew for $45 - we ate ourselves completely full despite being fairly hungry, and still each had a filled-to-the-brim bowl of leftovers to take home. It came with spam, rice cakes, ramen, onions, mushroom, sausage, cabbage, and more. Our server was super friendly too. She offered to clean one of the nicely decorated booths for us when we walked in, even though there were other empty seats. Perhaps because it was the grand opening for the restaurant, she also offered us a plate of corn cheese on the house. Overall, you really get bang for the buck at this establishment. The vibes are fun for a group just trying to unwind after a long week, cheering to Somaek and ordering A TON of food. I came with a friend to share some Korean food, and we were recommended many options from the menu. We ended up receiving a corn cheese from our waitress who was very sweet. What we ordered was the Spicy Cheese Samgyupsal with Chicken. The juicy pieces of chicken came sizzling on a hot plate as did the corn cheese and both were savory and delicious!
