Here I come to join the throngs of those exclaiming how good the swordfish piccata is at Dalesandro's. For our 21st anniversary, my husband and I decided to give Dalesandro's a run after hearing great things for years. The menu is limited, however, and I believe this about many restaurants, this limited menu allows them to do those things very well. I'd take a limited menu of stellar meals any day over a Cheesecake Factory of mostly crappy choices. We loved the small, intimate feel of the space. He had the lasagna and I had the swordfish, it was perfectly spot on. I asked for extra mushrooms on my piccata and they definitely accommodated my request. The capers were some of the best salty, briney capers! My husband cleared his plate, only scooting a couple of mushrooms to the side (he didn't notice they were on the menu in the lasagna, and no real way to order them without, so no big deal at all!) As far as service; unfortunately, we've had much better elsewhere. It wasn't the worst we've had, but definitely not up to par for this level of dining. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband ordered a Diet Coke. The waitress brought mine and said she would be right back with his. For the next 15 min or so, she seemed to actively avoid our table, working the other side of the room, never even glancing our way so I could catch her attention. I did finally get her and she retrieved his drink. We noticed there seemed to be a lot of what we assume to be regulars that were being very well attended to, and we would have appreciated the same attention as new guests. We will definitely be back, the food was too good to not have again, so we will cross our fingers for better service next time!

Wait staff weren't the friendliest. However the Caesar and my pesto chicken pasta were excellent.

My Tulsa friends, if you haven't been to Delesandro's in a while, it's time. If Delesandro's was in OKC, it would be a weekly staple for us. Everything was so delicious; the wine, the food were amazing. The ambiance is welcoming and gives that old school authentic vibe. The music was so much fun and all of the staff treat you like family and super knowledgeable. I've been craving authentic Italian food and Delesandro's hit the bulls eye.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if there was a last meal I had to choose, it would be the Swordfish Picatta at Dalesandros! And the Carpaccio is to die for as well.... The service was great as well!

I enjoyed my visit to Dalesandro's, but I do think it's a little hyped up. Overall, I had a good experience and would like to visit again! Before your visit, I highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you plan to go on a weekend evening! reservations are made on their web site, and they call you to confirm. I made a reservation for my party, and they were so accommodating to my requests. They have been good about keeping their high top tables & booths physically distant too. We started out with some wine and had the carpaccio for starters. We loved the carpaccio - its flavors were simple yet delicious. Highly recommend. Next, we both ordered the linguine. I was excited to try the meatballs but I would probably order something else next time. The dish was pretty big and came with 2 meatballs. I wasn't a big fan of the tomato sauce; it had a watery consistency and didn't stick to the pasta well. The fresh tomatoes in the sauce were pretty though. I also really enjoyed the flavors of the meatballs, but they were very dry, which left us slightly dissatisfied. We weren't too amazed by our meal, but we enjoyed it still, and the service was great. The atmosphere felt like a family-owned Italian restaurant, and generally it was pretty loud in there. They do offer outdoor seating and I think I would do that next time when the weather is nice!

What a delight it was. Our family of five enjoyed this experience so much. We wanted a low stress dinner and our waitress accommodated perfectly, never rushing us to place orders and giving us the opportunity to set the pace for the meal. We enjoyed appetizers and wine. Don't pass on the carpaccio! We talked and laughed and caught up. We then placed orders for our meals. Ordered more wine, and chatted some more. Our meals arrived and while the shells were decent, they lacked flavor. The pesto was consistent with expectations. The carbonara was voted the most decadent (hands down divine - order this!!) and the pollo arrosto did not disappoint. Highly recommend this sweet intimate space when craving a relaxing Italian meal. Can't wait to visit again.

Sitting there I wondered, why do people have reservations to this place? They must have great food...and if not the food...great service...and if not the service...a great atmosphere. But looking for all of these while we waited for our server I soon realized maybe it's not what I think. When the hostess sat us down she said our server will be with us. The server never came but served the table that came in after us. The host defaulted to serving us. We came right when they opened so they were still getting things ready for dinner service. When we first sat down, we were out at a dirty table. The cloth had crumbs on it. Requesting to be move, we went to a cleaner table. When we ordered our food it came out hot but not as fresh as we have had before at other Italian restaurants that claim authenticity. I ordered the pasta shells with sausage and cheese basked in a rich red sauce. The shells did not taste fresh or made from scratch l. Usually fresh pasta is not as compacted as manufactured pasta. It breaks easy and usually has a buttery consistency as it melts in your mouth. However you could tell that the sauce was made from scratch. It was light and not acidic. The pasta shells overpowered the meal and was an unwelcome party. The house bread was also subpar as it was cold and not reminiscent of Italian bread. Finally the music did not compliment the Italian family environment the owners projected. Pop country doesn't add tot he Italian feel. It was confusing.

    Swordfish piccata

Wow. Dalesandro's takeout was incredible. I got the beef carpaccio (which came with freshly baked bread, not pictured) which was pretty good. But the swordfish piccata was AMAZING. Definitely something I could eat many times again.

6:00 reservation is the way to go..Beautiful and bright, and before the dinner rush. Our neighbor raved about Delasandro's Swordfish Piccata...so RSVP was in place on a Friday evening. We ordered the Brodo soup...which my hubby liked since his new Dr.'s regime requires him to be on a bland diet. I have to say - he chose right. The soup for me is bland. The portion is large enough to share as an appetizer for 2 people. I ordered the Carbonara...delicious. I like to add some pizzazz to some of my meals by squeezing a slice of lemon on top of it...it made it more Yumtastic! The Swordfish Piccata was delightfully tasty...My patient hubby didn't mind me picking his dish, which too was enjoyable. But even more so, was their Chocolate Mousse cake!! It's rich, satisfying and definitely a great way to complete our nice evening out before heading to the movies. Bravo for great food, and great service from Gina.

    Soggy Caesar salad

Ordered dinner to go. The main entrees were great, but the Caesar salad was inedible. The romaine was super soggy and turning.

Looked good but full of mushrooms tast terrible.

Food was bad, service was worse. No drink refills the noodles were mushy and there was way to many mushrooms this was our first time and won't be back. Truly not good.

    Pretty pile of lasagne!

If you come to Tulsa, don't miss Dalesandro's. It's the most authentic Italian in the city. The Carbonara is to die for.

Manager said they included their top sellers for ease and to better serve their customers (mind you with a much higher price point than we were prepared for & we're repeat customers). We understood the reason for it.. just would've been nice to know in advance, as we had our hearts set on other dishes. Unfortunately we experienced terrible service. We ordered a bottle of wine and our 2 entrees: Seafood carbonara & the halibut which was a bit dry and mashed potatoes were cold. As soon as we ordered we never saw her again, except to hunt her down for our check. She never came to ask how our meal was after it was delivered, nor did she come by to fill our wine (like has always happened in the past). Never came to even ask if we wanted dessert. Just AWFUL service!! She even brought us the wrong check. Thank goodness we caught it, as it was double the price of ours. We felt like we were taken advantage of... forced to pay a much steeper price for a very limited menu and then not getting the fine dining service we've experienced in past visits. Restaurant was playing Aerosmith loud & did not go with the restaurants ambience at all. I will add that we came for Valentines Day last year & there was not a limited menu then, so just would've been nice to know of this change so we could have reviewed the menu. Their regular menu has a ton of entree options. This limited menu had like 6-8 & all very high priced. Unfortunately they got one over on us, but fortunately it won't be happening again, as we'll never return.

We did not see our waiter for an additional 15 minutes to even be served a glass of water. By 9 pm we still had not been served the main course. Unfortunately prior to 9, we had spilled red wine on the table and all over me. No one would stop or even address the spill to help clean up. We were on the main walk to the kitchen and they wouldn't even make eye contact to ask if we needed assistance. They then tried to place the food on the soiled tablecloth and napkins. We asked to have the soiled linens replaced and they opted moving us to another table. They served lukewarm food. The jumbo Madagascan tiger prawn looked like it was been frozen for such a long period of time it was completely flat and stuck to the shell! I was so disappointed that we washed to simply pay for what we had consumed which was wine and appetizer. There was no apology for the long wait, no apology for not assisting with the spilled wine, and no apology for the cold food. Lastly, the food was so cold that the cheese on top of my husband's meal was not even melted. It was still shredded like it had been taken from the refrigerator. This was the first place I had suggested to celebrate my 60th - it was very unfortunate and I will not recommend or go again.

I generally am interested in restaurants that offer high, quality, vegetable-focused menus by the season, and il seme checked all my boxes. The service is outstanding. I ended up having to move my reservation twice, once online and then over the phone, and they were very accommodating. Our server, Madison, was literally so helpful and sweet. We asked her for bar recommendations, and she wrote down a list of her favorites with notes on the vibes/best drinks. It was so above and beyond. You can also tell the staff operates as a team when it comes to taking care of guests. 10/10 for service! The ambiance was so beautiful. While the tables were a little small, the restaurant is a work of art in itself. It has the most gorgeous wooden paneling and pretty blue walls. It was very hip/artsy/clean/cool. My only pain point was the restaurant was unusually warm, to the point of being a bit uncomfortable (I was in a sweater). The drinks were great. I ordered the N/A margarita and it was FANTASTIC! One of, if not the best mocktail I've ever had. My boyfriend got a beer that had a slightly coconut-y taste - yummy and unique! For appetizers, we ordered the focaccia and green garlic arancini. We enjoyed both! I loved the balsamic butter, though that dish was a bit on the salty side. The leek sauce that came with the arancini was a dream, and the mozzarella was warm inside. I ordered the gnocchi with oklahoma mushrooms, mascarpone cream, and grana. It was excellent and you will love if you enjoy creamy, truffle-y flavors. My boyfriend ordered the beef and lamb ragu, and he found it to be ok - perhaps a little on the aggressively al dente side. Overall, I enjoyed il seme and would come back! This really is a warm and welcoming place that puts a lot of intentionality into crafting their menu.

The agnolotti tasted very... earthy. I was expecting to taste more of a creamy pistachio but it was heavy kale more than anything. We went on a Thursday afternoon so a reservation wasn't needed but I would recommend that for an evening weekend. Service was pretty slow for a night that wasn't super busy but it was ok because we enjoyed the company we went with. Be prepared to pay for street parking or using a parking garage. Walking distance to the Mayo.
