Our second time at Bruno's was just as good as our first, maybe better. I had forgotten how good their clam chowder is and their garlic bread is out of this world good. Our dishes tonight were Bolognese Tagliterre (sp?), baked ziti with bolognese sauce, chicken parmigiana, and baked tortellini. Everyone enjoyed the meal and left stuffed to the gills. The staff there was phenomenal. My daughter wanted baked tortellini instead of spaghetti as a side. The server misunderstood and brought her a full dish of tortellini. When we advised her of the error, she immediately remedied the error and brought out a free chicken parmigiana. This is definitely an old school Italian restaurant and the ambiance reflects that. If you chose to dine here, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. read more

The complimentary bread was hot, moist, and's delicious. It also came with seasoned olive oil. The Seafood combo was good with lots of seafood, but it lacked distinctive flavor. Our anniversary dinner was at a new restaurant in Broken Arrow called Bruno's The venu is surprisingly small practically furnished with simple and clean decor. The staff was friendly and efficient. The bread that was brought to our table was hot and very fresh... a true delight and star of the meal. The pasta combo itself was well prepared and had all the right flavors. My wife ordered the veal Marsala and allowed me to sample it. I'm sorry to say it was tough and disappointing.the veal tasted like it had been frozen and was overcooked. Went to Bruno's for the first time this week. I was pleasantly surprised, I had seen all types of reviews good and bad. I have eaten at almost all Italian restaurants in the area and Bruno's is at the top of my list! Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Day 1 review!! Today is the first day they've been open and I had to pop in and give it a go! While here I got to meet the owner and turns out, he and his family are not new to the business! They used to own Geno's in Muskogee! This being a brand new building, it's very clean inside and plenty of seating. It's an open concept so I can I see it getting noisy when it's packed but this isn't a place to party down so it should be mostly just fine. With that kind, it's no surprise dinner service, even for day went pretty darn smooth! We were greeted and seated promptly and drinks came out quickly. Our server for our appetizer, fried calamari put in and came back soon after for our entree order! We had two pasta entrees, the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and the tortellini siciliano! Both were huge plates filled with well cooked pasta and delicious sauce. I kept it simple tonight with the intent of trying more in the future! Pros: the waitress was nice but frazzled. We could see her running around helping lies of people; just not us. Bread ok. Salad ok. New. Cons: Calamari and chicken piccata bland. The thing that really pissed us off is the prices on the receipt were different than the ones listed on the menu. Someone suggested it was a credit card fee without the restaurant explicitly stating it was a fee? No not ok. Wow ... I know it just opened up a couple of days ago but wow... out of lids for kid cups, out of crab. Our food wasn't that great I got the baked ziti and I got it and couldn't even tell you what it was from looking at it nor did the server ! It tasted like the Alfredo had some type of seafood in it which I don't like at all. Our server was the worst , she was never around and had no urgency and could tell she didn't wanna be there . Our drinks were had to get filled bc of that, I think it was the manager that kept attending our table after he noticed she wasn't around . The place wasn't busy at all at 11:30am didn't pick up til around 1pm so it was pretty quiet which was nice . Maybe in a couple of months this place will get into its groove . read more

This is without a doubt the BEST authenic Italian restaurant in the entire Tulsa area and yes it is better than Mondo's! The service there is very personal and our server Macey is great. We love their veal dishes and my wife enjoyed the salmon picatta which she tried for the first time. The rolls are the best in the area. Bruno's Italian in Broken Arrow is an amazing place to eat and run by amazing people. I placed an order through Door Dash, and go figure, Door Dash bungled everything up. But this wasn't a normal order. It was for a grieving family that just lost a family member. I called the restaurant and explained the situation and they wanted to help me get this meal to the family I was ordering for. They went out of their way to have someone drive the meal to the family and drop it off for them. Not a delivery driver, a hostess. I spoke with Jeno (sp?) and he was so happy to do this for the family going through their loss. He was great to talk to! Thank you! As for the food! The family sent pictures and talked about how incredible it all was! I'm jealous I did not get to try it personally. We visited on opening day and were immediately impressed! Our family of six was greeted with a smile and seated quickly. We arrived early, which was smart because it filled up fast! Our server, Macey, brought out fresh bread that we dipped in olive oil, garlic, and cheese, so delicious. Please note the dipping sauces like Alfredo and the olive oil are extra. For appetizers, we shared mozzarella sticks and fried ravioli, both kid-approved and gone in seconds! The menu is packed with Italian favorites. I ordered the Napoli's Combo... which came with lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, and chicken parmigiana. So good. A great way to sample a few dishes at a new place. Wonderful and solid experience. The rolls they bring out are light, hot, fluffy, and fresh. They kept bringing more, honestly I could have made a meal of just them. Ann got the manicotti and I got spaghetti and meatballs. Both came out quickly and the portions were huge! The sauce was a light sweet sauce and not the heavy marinara I'm used to from chain restaurants. Different, but very good. We had plenty of leftovers only because of the portion size. They are not too crowded. The menu had choices for every palate. Lunch menu is available from 11-3pm. My colleagues and I enjoyed the lunch pasta combo, baked ziti, and chicken parmigiana each coming with a side salad. The sauce was amazingly delicious and the ingredients fresh! Decent Italian restaurant! Tried out the Chicken Genovese, and it was really good! It consisted of chicken and mushrooms in a cream-like sauce with spaghetti. Everything on the plate tasted great. Liked the overall balance of the dish. Only thing I wish could have been better was the chicken could have been seasoned a bit more. While it was flavorful from the outside, it was kind of bland (and a bit dry) from the inside. Besides that, still liked the dish overall. Service was also very good (also really liked the free bread they gave). Overall, I had a good experience and would probably return! read more

We know the same name of the restaurant in Orange County, California, and that Bruno had the great food, so our expectations were high. We waited a few months, avoiding the crowds of opening days. As the place itself is not too big, tables are arranged kind of tight. Service was a OK that we don't remember the server. My husband ordered meatballs and spaghetti and I ordered chicken piccata over spaghetti that I wanted to see how they cook differently from my chicken piccata. I won. Their chicken was over cooked, and spaghetti was not al dente which I demand "Italian" restaurants should cook spaghetti al dente. They are not "Olive Garden". Pasta was over cooked. Sauce was OK. My husband was not impressed either even though he's not a food aficionado. So we understand that this place is not related from the one in Brea. Oh one more thing. We were sitting close to the kitchen, and I saw the closest table to the kitchen was occupied by ( I assume) the owner and the family. And the chef was coming out often to talk to them and looking over the dining room, looking like assessing the customers. We really liked it, and everyone working there was nice and pleasant. Excellent service by everyone!! It's small and quaint, and has a nice fresh look. The food was delicious! I had the lobster ravioli, spicy. It was really good, I loved the sauce with just a hint of heat to give it a small spicy kick (recommended by our server). My spouse had the chicken alfredo. We had such an amazing experience... Bruno's made our date night so perfect! Our server was Chuck; he was incredible. The manager/owner stopped by our table as well to thank us for coming in and to ask us how our food was. We ordered the fried ravioli as an appetizer that came with what could be the best marinara sauce I've ever had in my life. I got the spaghetti and meatballs with alla panna sauce (creamy tomato sauce). It was yummy but next time I will definitely be ordering it with the marinara! The meatballs were delicious and incredibly tender, and the serving size was so generous that I have a full box of leftovers. Prices were incredibly fair given the large portions. Wonderful place! They'll take care of you. We went on a Friday night, and it was pretty busy. The wait was pretty short for me and my wife, and we got bread pretty quickly. The bread was warm, and the servers were very friendly. I think there was some confusion going on during the service, and we ended up with an incorrect entree. The server was notified and we were given the right entree very shortly after, about five minutes only. They were very gracious, and ended up taking the entree off the bill, and gave us the other entree gratis! We insisted that we shouldn't have gotten that off the bill but they insisted. On top of that, they gave us a dessert (which we also said we didn't need as we were already given more than enough for free) but again, they insisted. In sum, they will take care of you. If they make a mistake, they will make it right, and make sure you have a great time, which we definitely did. I highly recommend this place. You may need some patience for a Friday night but it was well worth it. read more

We visited the restaurant recently and had a mixed experience. Lets start off with the good- The house bread served before our entrees it was warm and well baked, a nice touch while we waited. To start, we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and tossed salads. The mushrooms were flavorful, but the portion was inconsistent--some were significantly larger and more generously stuffed than others, which made sharing 4 mushrooms among four people a bit awkward. The tossed salads were described as mixed greens and tomatoes, so our youngest requested his without tomatoes. He was surprised to receive a salad topped with cheese and olives--ingredients not mentioned on the menu. While it wasn't a huge deal for us, this could have been avoided with a more detailed menu description or a quick note from the server, especially when taking an order from an 8-year-old with specific preferences. We asked if we could order a second salad without cheese or olives, the server seemed visibly annoyed. We weren't asking for a refund or replacement--just an additional item--but the interaction felt uncomfortable and off-putting. Unfortunately, the entrees were a letdown. Our pasta-loving child, the inspiration for this dinner outing, wouldn't eat his pasta--something we've never seen before. He ordered a kid-sized portion, but was brought and charged for a full adult entrée, which felt frustrating given we'd made the preference clear. When he wouldn't even eat it because he said the pasta was not good? Wow. A kid that has devoured pasta in every restaurant we have visited from the East to west coast and from NOLA to Chicago says your pasta is underwhelming - that's a problem. My lobster ravioli were about 75% enjoyable--the ones that had lobster filling were great, but one ravioli was completely empty. At over $5 per piece, that missing filling was a real disappointment. There were definitely some highlights, but the inconsistencies in food and service made the overall experience disappointing enough for us to skip returning, especially for the price point in a cafe styled restaurant. read more
