Dalia's has the best Jollof rice I've ever had, the woman who worked the front was really sweet with a quirky gap in her teeth and I loved her customer service! The next time I'm in the area I will definitely make another to go order.

The egusi soup was amazing!!! I've been to many African restaurants and left disappointed. I originally ordered one bowl to go, took a little sample upon puckup and ended up eating the whole thing then and there. I ordered two more bowls because it was probably the second best egusi I've had. I'm grateful for this find. As far as my experience, the staff was very nice and helpful. I forgot to mention an allergy and they were kind enough to assist me without any problems.

Delicious authentic food, generous portions, and friendly staff...10/10 recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the large chains of fast food!

I had the oxtail stew and it was delicious! Plus, there are many gluten free options on the menu, just ask and they are happy to help you select a gluten free entree.

You won't get better food or service anywhere else. The jerk chicken is my favorite it's so moist and flavorful with the right amount of spice. I eat it once a week. Go here and try something new. You won't be disappointed.

I think Stafford needed this restaurant. The owners are very nice and they interact with every customer. The nationality is Ghanaian and they make the food true to their culture. I have tried three dishes for far, and they were all good. The jerk chicken wasn't spicy, and I didn't feel had much flavor. The people at the table behind me had it as well and they loved it. It is dependent on taste buds. The okra soup was sooooo good and it was a large portion I couldn't finish it. The egusi soup was amazing as well. I can't wait to try everything on the menu!

I don't have a lot of African experience, so I was instantly intrigued. After a morning of exploring the Prince William Forest, we came here for a good lunch. As a guy who's not well versed in the cuisine, I asked for advice, and I was lead in the right direction. I can't seem to find the exact menu item, but I know it the main focal point was that jollof rice. Man, the flavors in that rice were very new to me, and very delicious. Lots of good heat, but not spicy at all. You gotta try it. Also on my place was some sort of meat, some sort of delicious fish on the bone, a nice hard boiled egg, and some sweet plantains. Along with a small salad. Good meat, good sauce. Love eating meat off the bone, adds so much good flavor. Just a really nice meal. I also got some Sweet Plantain Balls (Caclo) as an app. These things were amazing! I usually don't like plantains, But these were very soft, coated in a tangy, umami powder, again a new thing for me. Overall, I very much enjoyed this place. If you're ever in Dumfries, VA, I would highly recommend you stop by, as this was the best food I had the whole time I was in town!

We came here on a Thursday night so maybe that's why everything didn't slap as much as I would've liked. The jollof didn't have a ton of flavor or spice, but they have tomato based pepper sauce a medium and an extra hot that adds flavor and spice to the rice. The meat and chicken was a bit dry and hard. The fish wasn't seasoned much. The portions are big and customer service was kind. They had a fairly big menu. The food is Ghanaian so you'll find a lot of west African staples here. I ordered their Suya rice with chicken and beef. My wife ordered the acheke with fried fish and ordered a plate of jollof to take home. The suya fried rice was my favorite dish. It's one of their own creations but it's a fried rice with suya spice in it. It's not as spicy as I personally like, but I'm a huge fan of spice so I imagine it's a good level for most people. The jollof was also pretty good. I'll say that the chicken and beef in both the jollof and suya fried rice were a little dry, but they had good flavor to them so it can be overlooked. The acheke was standard for what I expect from it. The fried fish could have used a little bit of seasoning but was fine to go with it. Food took about 20 mins to be cooked but I appreciate that it's done fresh. The service was great! Kevin was the one who took our order and helped us with any additional requests while we ate. Definitely love the soul he adds to the restaurant. The ambiance is pretty casual. The one thing to note is that the parking lot can be a bit small so parking may take more than one try if you have a bigger car.

Food was amazing. The second time I did a DoorDash. I ordered oxtails and beef suya. The oxtails and Suya were tough. I couldn't eat it. Today, I decided to go in again and give it another try. EPIC Fail. I ordered beef suya with jolly rice and cabbage and tomato stew. The suya was so tough almost like jerky!! I immediately got in my car to take the food back. The tomato soup was half soup/half oil. The cabbage was super bland almost like they just steamed it in water and that's it. The ladies inside Choba were accommodating and understanding although they tried to tell me the suya wasn't overcooked or old. I ended up just swapping the Suya for stewed beef. Have look at what they gave me! lol.. I'll add the suya costs more than the stewed beef. There is barely any beef in the stew. In short, I've had two experiences where the food was either clearly old or overcooked and the food is too expensive for the small portions they give. I have a whole pan full of rice and cabbage and 5 pieces of meet in oils and soup. Check your food before you leave the establishment. Check everything. I liked this place the first time but after two more failed attempts.. it's a NO.
