The boy and I were looking for some Texas BBQ between American Airlines' Terminal A and our departure gate in Terminal B on our layover this week and there really wasn't any other option than the Dallas Cowboys Club. I discovered they had brisket on the menu when I searched for "brisket" in the AA apps' Terminal Map. And well, they had a brisket sandwich on Texas Toast so we decided to find a table. The restaurant itself is nice and modern with plenty of seats and availability around 5pm on a Tuesday. Our waiter was friendly enough and attentive but he did forget to bring my water when I asked for it. To his credit, he was juggling several tables and was running around managing them. We shared the fried pickles and the brisket sandwich and both were quite tasty and the Chipotle BBQ sauce was really good and not too chipotle-y to make it different than just a really good BBQ sauce so don't be concerned by that description. The fried pickles ($12) were about as good as fried pickles can be. I've had some with less of a coating so if you're looking for something very lightly battered, I wouldn't say these are them. On the other hand, like I said, these were pretty perfect and certainly not overly coated in batter. They come with a tasty BBQ ranch sauce and the portion size was good; we definitely didnt finish them. On to the brisket sandwich ($22)... Certainly a shareable portion for two, especially since it's on thick Texas Toast and we were sharing the fries that come with it as well as the fried pickles. The sandwich was tasty but they were a bit skimpy on the meat and what was inside was really fatty. In fact one of the few pieces in my half was all fat. Come on guys, when you're chopping up the brisket into small pieces, it's pretty easy to toss the all fat pieces. The sandwich was served with decent and ample fries as well as a few things slices of pickles. The $22 price tag is steep but this is an airport afterall and they've "got you". To drink, I had a Don Diablo ($20) and later, a Lagunitas IPA ($11). They were out of their rotating local craft beers. The cocktail was tasty but the price was not. I had talked to someone in the Charleston airport where our return trip began and he mentioned that the prices of drinks in Dallas were good. I didn't find that to be true at all! I was torn about leaving the Dallas Cowboys Club 3 stars or 4 but since the service was pretty good and the food and drinks, too, despite the high cost for a meal for two with two drinks, I chose to leave them 4. Had the Cheerleaders been there serving us, I would have given them a 5....lol One thing I really can't stand at airports is when they jack up the prices just because they can. You're stuck there with no other option for food unless you bring your own. And you certainly can't bring your own booze anymore so if you're a drinker like me, well, you're screwed and you're paying $20 for a cocktail and $11 for a 20 oz. beers. It sucks! This isn't a fancy nightclub afterall! $12 for the pickles, well, that's "ok". Maybe they could drop that to $10 and I'm sorry, $22 for that brisket sandwich is kinda crazy but again, it's an airport. Anywhere else, for a $22 sandwich like that, I'd expect quite a bit more brisket in there and certainly little to no fatty pieces. Man! Should I leave 'em 3 stars??? Airport nacho review! Definitely flawed, but worth a try. Chill vibes and lots of TVs compliment nachos beautifully. These nachos lean towards the "too rich" side of food, they could use some better salsa (I clearly was just served something from a jar) or some picked veggies to cut through the richness. A lot of that richness comes from some pretty tasty brisket, which definitely carries the dish. Good cheese (bagged shredded PLUS queso sauce) coat the stale chips. read more

The table was for 6 but provided the level and cushion i need for my disabled leg. when approached by the staff they asked us to move even though there weren't many people and we would be 20-30 minutes max. when told of my disability the staff stated they had a handicapped section of only tables and chairs which is uncomfortable for my disability. i restated my concerns and my concerns weren't taken in consideration for my disability. we moved and i was in increased pain the rest of the day. won't be back. read more

Ordered the brisket quesadilla and a power bowl with grilled chicken and 2 beers. Food came out quick and was tasty. Like any airport be prepared to get plowed on the cost. Friday 2/9/24 late lunch: So I'm thinking after I got home to Jacksonville that the Dallas Cowboys Club at the DFW airport probably should have paid me to eat there today. Meh. It was apparent that our server forgot to put the food order in as it took over 30 minutes for a wedge salad and a burger. At an airport...where timeliness is crucial. Stress free lunch, it was not. And then no draft beers. But pushing the SHINER Boch hard in place of what was missing. Something was wrong with the draft beer system, we were led to believe. What happens when there is no lounge to chill at before your flight? You find the nearest bar. The Dallas Cowboys Club was right next to our gate so we decided to chill there till our flight. We waited awhile for a seat at the bar but nothing opened up. Luckily there was an open table in the back so we took it. We only ordered mimosas but it took forever to get and the customer service here is extremely slow. The table and chairs weren't cleaned well. I think they need to staff better so they can improve customer service. Good thing I'm a Cowboys fan and they smashed the Washington Football Team. It made the experience at the Dallas Cowboys Club more tolerable. I can't say I recommend this place but beggars can't be choosers when you're thirsty. read more

I stopped at the mini-food counter to get a quick chicken sandwich. Front staff was polite and friendly, but the kitchen was horrible. Food took over 20 minutes and then when it arrived, it wasn't what I ordered. This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences i have encountered in a long time. Should have read the reviews before eating here. The entire experience was a disaster. Stopped in for a quick bite and overall enjoyed the experience. It's a sport bar environment with a number of tv screens showing only sports. The main seating area is a large bar located in the center of the restaurant, but there is some limited table seating surrounding the bar. I like that there are electric outlets on all tables against the far wall. Service was good throughout the meal. Drinks were delivered quickly and the waiter constantly checked on me. I started my meal with the chili tejano. The chili was spicy and included a shot of sour cream in the middle of the bowl. The main issue with the chili is the runny consistency, probably due to the lack of beans. The chili needed something like tortilla strips to add some crunch or a different texture. For my entree I had the chop salad with extra ranch dressing. The salad had good flavors throughout and the dressing included chives which added a delicious twist. The tortilla chips were odd and I would have preferred tortilla strips or croutons. There was also a limited amount of bacon in the salad. Overall the meal was enjoyable. I don't think the food options will blow you away but this restaurant is good enough considering the limited options at terminal a. Stop in for a drink and you won't be disappointed. Located by terminal A (American) gate 21 and 22, my husband and I (along with our dog,whom was inside her padded crate while we ate our meal) ate at Dallas Cowboys Club for breakfast yesterday around 9:30 am. We just came from La Guardia Airport and had a 2 hour layover at the Dallas Fort Worth airport and were hungry. With the time change, didn't realize that it was still breakfast time (we were up since 2 am yesterday morning, EST) and wanted to have lunch. But our server told us that lunch items are not served until 10:30 am and that breakfast is served until 10:30 am. Anyways, after looking over the menu, we ended up getting: Yogurt, Seasonal Fruit, Granola, $7.99 prior tax- Made with low fat vanilla yogurt and honey, this breakfast was tasty and the potion size was a good amount for me. The seasonal fruit I had on my plate was strawberries, blueberries, honey dew and cantaloupe. It tasted fresh and added a pop of color to this breakfast. Big Dallas Skillet, $11.99 prior to tax- This breakfast was made with 3 egg omelet, bacon and 2 pieces of wheat toast. The bacon was very dry and overly cooked. The eggs were average. With the name "Big Dallas Skillet" I thought this breakfast would be a little bigger. My husband was still a little hungry after eating this meal. Nice little spot to hang out while you wait for your departure. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have plugs to charge your devices at every table which is very convenient. I ordered the quesadillas which are HUGE. I had to order the 1/2 portion when I saw how large it was. Definitely a good meal to share for only $12.49.
