We stopped to charge a Tesla in the parking lot and had about 30 minutes to kill on a Friday afternoon and ended up wandering into this bar. It was the perfect neighborhood spot. Pretty solid little spot. Good food and good variety of options, nice staff, covered patio option, and clean inside. I had the barbacoa tacos and they were pretty good. Certainly not the best but pretty tasty - and not top greasy. I opted for a side of onion rings and those were solid. My son got the grilled shrimp and I was impressed at how awesome they looked. He liked them for sure. Other folks at the table got fried chicken and it looked decent. Our server was super sweet and spread thin. I think she did a great job covering the territory. We love having a bar and grill in biking distance to the house and this place has a nice patio and standard fun bar interior. I would love to give the place 5 stars because atmosphere is spot on and there are plenty of food options to accommodate different eating styles. Including healthy options - protein, veggie style plates as well as delicious bar food - wings, tacos, etc. The reason for the 1-star off is the service. It has been hit or miss the few times I've been there but keep in mind, I'm not a drinker so I'm mostly trying to get food while I'm there and try to sit outside as often as weather will allow. This place has grown on me since giving it a review on opening day. It is a good local dive and the beer on tap is super cold. I mean "ice floating on your beer that comes from the frosted glass" cold. That will be a really nice treat come summer. The service is friendly and the clientele is varied. I haven't eaten here yet but have heard they do a decent burger. It seems that whatever kinks they had when opening were ironed out. Here's to hoping they stick around. read more

We showed up on a random Wednesday night, looking for a good burger. We've lived around here for 2 years and had never been in before. YELP led us here. Little did we know that Wednesday night is "Musical Bingo" night. The DJ (Hayden) hands out sheets of paper with bingo cards printed on them. But, each square is covered by a song title. So....he plays portions of a song and if you can name it, then you mark your card if it's on it. It's a clever little promotion and there seemed to be more than a few "regulars". My wife had a BBQ burger and I had the Hatch green chili burger. Oh my!! The burgers are outstanding. A generous portion of GOOD beef, well seasoned and put on a very fresh bun. (I don't know if they're made in house, but I know they're bakery buns; NOT made by Mrs. Baird's.) The French fries were nice and crispy. The burgers seem a little bit pricey at $13.99-14.99 each, but it was an excellent burger. I also had 2 Shiner Bocks and they're only $4 each, so I guess it works out. (My wife got two meals from her burger.) Our server, Becca, was very attentive. We would definitely go back. It's a local place...nothing fancy. Some might even call it a "dive", but it's a good "dive"!! Probably has a committed local following. I would definitely recommend the burgers, though they have some other "pub grub". And DEFINITELY go on Wednesday night. The Bingo is free and they play 4 rounds. Each winner gets $20. read more

RJ's delivers a consistent experience, it's a great locals kind of place, music varies, sometimed it's hard to get a seat at the bar but the high top tables are comfortable and always available. Man, I love a good bar and grill, and this is a good, Comfortable bar and grill. Cold beer, yummy margs, friendly atmosphere, and the food is great. We had 2 burgers, the fried appetizer, and quesobirria tacos. The burgers were fresh and flavorful, fries were hot and well seasoned. On the fried app, the mushrooms and cheese sticks were pretty par for the course, but the jalapeños had a vinegar bite that was welcomed. The tacos were great-well seasoned consommé, stretchy cheese, tender beef, super delicious salsa on the side. Will be coming back!! read more

So weird to post a review on the delicious food at a sports bar, but here I go. The husband is from Chicago and incredibly picky about Chicago dogs and he just inhaled two here. Jose flies the ingredients in from Chicago and they were perfection. I had the salmon and broccoli and they were delicious. To top it off, the server must be one of the nicest people I've ever met. ( Unfortunately I forgot his name, not happy about that, but I blame the wine) Also we don't normally take our kids to bars, but not much else was open at this odd hour and they were so kind. Lackluster burger. I'm writing this review because I do not understand how this bar/restaurant got over four stars which is what brought me in. Beef patty was dense, machine-formed and dry. A "rich chuck" is definitely not an accurate description. I was told it would be medium to medium-well but it was well done. I wouldn't call the bun "brioche." Fries were pretty good. I'm all for a dive if the food is great, but it wasn't so I won't be back. read more
