The fat juicy lightly grilled asparagus was fine dining quality! The chicken and beef in the fajitas were cooked perfectly (needed a tad more salt). Very generous serving for one (fed two nicely). This place is like walking into the show Cheers! With a nice bar area where most people drink and eat. We sat in a very nice roomy booth. Our server was great! We went on Sunday to watch the Bears vs Cowboys game! Go Bears! Now let me start by saying our waitress Rachel was good! 5 stars! Please please order the Flagsticks Fried mozzarella served with zesty marinara sauce and ranch dressing. Get two marinara sauces. It is worth it! You will thank me! 5 Stars! Cheese/Tots Served with pico, jalapeños and ranch dressing. They were basic nothing to brag about. 3 Now to the worse part!!!!!! My Reuben and Onion Rings. First my Onion Rings arrived cold why are my onion rings cold. Like they had been sitting out. No crisp no nothing! They did offer me some new ones cool! But open up my Reuben were is the meat. Like literally there were two slices on one of the sides. I have never in life had a Rueben like this. So, I just sent my meal back. I usually never send my meal back. When I say back, I mean I drunk my libations which was two Mexican Sugar Shot which I order 2 and watch my Bears beat the Cowboys. Guess I shouldn't have worn my team's hat in hostile territory. I give the drink a 5. I give the Reuben a negative -5. I never give out negative usually a zero. But this sandwich with cold onion rings was crazy. Finale rating is 2.6. 5/10/25: This was our first visit. My wife and I were staying across the street at the Ritz and a chef recommended this bar. We crossed the street to check it out. We visited for the first time for Thursday trivia night. What a fun time! Their trivia is very well organized and it is obvious that groups come weekly to participate. There were lots of drink options. Service was good, although it was a bit slower paced - it was very crowded and we were staying all night for trivia anyway. Our server was very nice. Went here for weekend karaoke with some friends, and we all had a great time! The karaoke was set up well and moved quickly, so a lot of people got to sing. Visiting Dallas for a conference and, not wanting to dress up, took a look around the area surrounding my hotel for a no-frills restaurant. I stumbled upon the Spirit Grille and immediately ordered an Uber. Spirit Grille is set in a plaza near to a few other restaurants and has a very homey, neighborhood bar feel. The cordial, almost familial, conversations amongst the patrons leads me to believe that it's a place that treats its regulars well. I ordered mozzarella sticks to chomp on and wings to go. The mozzarella sticks were great! I even dipped them in bleu cheese (!) and loved them. The bbq wings were a bit too spicy for me but I powered through them. Somewhere in the midst of this, trivia questions were being asked. Drinks were priced at happy hour prices and the company was great! If you ever have one of those days where you just need a drink and want to end it with some good entertainment, this is the place to be. We always have a fun time when we go here. I think they have good quality food for a bar. We pretty much order everything off the Practice Tee and share it with the group of people we're with. We've also tried other things on the menu which we enjoyed too! The prices are decent and comes with a lot of food. It usually gets busy closer to 6pm and 7 on Friday's, which is the day we usually go for karaoke night!! So make sure you get there early if you want a seat! It's so many fun people there, with lots of positive energy and good laughs! Doesn't matter if you can't sing or not, people will always join in and make you feel right at home, even the staff. Glenn (the awesome karaoke guy) can sing his butt off and is very engaging when getting people to perform. He even provides COVID friendly little mic cover ups for each singer. Service is usually on it with everything, especially with it being so busy on Fridays, but sometimes it can be hectic. Morgan is awesome though! Our second batch of nachos did come out a little burnt, but they happily took them back and made fresh ones. Drinks are usually strong depending on what you get. The only one that was said to be watered down was the whiskey sour. Mind you we've been here multiple times so that's not a usual thing, just this past time we visited. We had drinks and the queso appetizer in no time at all! Max was on the ball and super cool! The reason why I didn't rate this place was the food was just okay. My friend ordered the blackened fish tacos and she said the were just okay. The fish was overdone and lots of tiny pieces instead of bite size chunks. The side items weren't bad but just okay. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich grilled and the flavor was good but the tiny checker breast was lost on the HUGE bun. I tore off half the bun and still had plants. The chicken breast was itty bitty. The fries however, were amazing! Those were perfect. My squeeze ordered the Philly sandwich and he said it was good. Nothing too exciting but good.
