Once it was time for my appointment, I was taken aside to discuss service needs. Once were in session, the sound of the ocean was played. I elected to have the Swedish Massage by Denise. A warmed towel, rod and heated lavender scented pillow were all incorporated. My neck wasn't feeling the massage headrest long term. So, I moved myself onto the bed completely. Do what you gotta do. The massage was helpful for releasing some knots around my shoulders and overall circulation. I also added the under eye patch treatment. The rooms are a curtain away from each other. So, note that once back near and/or in your room that the staff communicates in hushed whispers. I wasn't quite sure when the appointment was to start and finish. I feel like I blinked and it over. My weekly chiropractic visits weren't getting the job done, so, on the recommendation of my chiropractor, I searched for a massage therapist in the Addison area that had sports massage expertise. Having searched the Yelp ratings in the area, I chose Relax & Heal Massage. I called Michelle and was fortunate to get a next day appointment. She was very professional, patient, and knowledgeable explaining the differences in techniques. Once she began to work my arms and wrists, I immediately felt the tension released and experienced a great sense of relief. After a solid hour of upper body work, I got dressed and could feel an incredible difference in the way I felt. Michelle has an awesome gift of managed strength with control, coupled with technique and the gentlest disposition. I have been to several massage therapists over the years, but none could hold a candle to the care and treatment I received at Relax & Heal Massage by Michelle. She is worthy of your consideration and I highly recommend her.

I have been going to get adjustments since it opened with most recent visit being 11/29/23 from Dr.Tim Nawrocki. He is very knowledgeable and not rough like some chiropractors. He's also friendly, punctual, and caring too. I notice that my back and neck always feel better when I keep regular visits. Another amazing experience about this office is it's so easy to book your appointments. If your like myself and only remember things after hours or if you love texting verses calling or both they have an app which is very convenient! I love it and they text you 48 hours before your appointment then 24 hours then on the day of so you don't forget or you have time to cancel because I was getting to that next, they will charge you a fee if you cancel appt last minute but they will work with you as far as if an emergency were to come up so they aren't going to just profit on you being late but they make it hard for you to be late with the reminders. lol! Last but not least, it is not inexpensive but it's totally worth it when your pains start to ease up and you start to feel better. I used to think how can a chiropractor really work on you in 15 min or less but they can if they know what they are doing! Everyone is different of course but if you have pain and looking for help this place is a good start or finish if you're lucky. I 1,000% know it is illegal to uncover someone's glutes fully, but that didn't stop my therapist from pulling not only the blanket down to my thighs, but also pulling my underwear (a thong which already exposed the sides of my glutes) down to my thighs, fully exposing my entire butt. Let me be clear, this is absolutely illegal and unprofessional, there is a law specifically stating you cannot do this. EVER. - not to mention I am a female and my therapist was a male. It was clear this therapist wasn't trained in hot stones (something else I'm trained in), and the massage itself was abysmal. If they were in massage school and this was their final, they would not pass. And they shouldn't have. Afterwards I again asked the front desk about ACTUAL Thai Massage and if they dont have thai massage where else does - they said that there's one woman on staff who provides it (who obviously wasn't available when I came in). I don't know why she didn't just tell me this to begin with instead of take my money and my peace of mind. I left here a thoroughly unsatisfied customer. I told her I never cancelled the session and she never asked a question. She apologized and rescheduled with me for the following day. The same evening she cancels that session and asks me to get a refund from groupon. I told her if she refuses to honor her own groupon (as unethical as it is) she should be obtaining my refund for me. She promised to call groupon to have them remove her ad for the voucher she refuses to honor and get my refund. The next day she informs me that groupon requires me to request my own refund. Her ad is still on groupon. I had to contact Groupon three times, took several hours of my time to document all of the text message evidence, chat and email with groupon to finally get a refund, but with hard proof Mia won't provide this service Groupon won't pull the voucher. Bottom line: Mia lacks integrity in not honoring her own vouchers, attempts to convert you to a different voucher, attempts to change terms of voucher she sold to pass you off to an unlicensed provider, fails to show up at her own appointments, and makes excuses even for allowing her voice mail to fill up ("most people don't leave messages"). Massages and reflexology are supposed to be relaxing and fun, not stressful and frustrating. The refund I fought very hard for and obtained can never reimburse for the value of my time and energy. Do not be fooled by a discount with Mia, while she might possibly do a good job if she chooses to show up, I can tell you from personal experience I've never experienced a reflexology or massage provider so incredibly shady in my life. There was also a language barrier, which made it difficult to communicate that the pressure was too much or explain what I wanted. My husband also got a massage and felt that the pressure was a lot. This may be a good fit for someone who likes extremely deep, intense pressure, and I can't speak to their other types of massages, but I personally would not get the deep tissue massage here again.
