Therefore another week passed for the owner to come out to our house to view the defects and make a claim. Then he ordered another carpet, there went another week, once brought out to my house it too was defective. So we had to wait another almost week in order for them to get yet another carpet. After 3 weeks fighting with this company they only want to offer me 325.00 credit. I'd already paid 1/2 the amount of 1800+ dollars. We had to wait 3 weeks to place our home on the market due to their incompetence and possibly miss several offers or even a sale. I wouldn't do business with this company ever. Their product is low grade. Their 325.00 credit is an insult.

Let me start by saying this: Atlanta Floor One screwed up…read more As I was closing on my home, I hired Atlanta Floor One to replace my carpet in the office with hardwood floor, and sand, stain and finish all of the existing hardwood floors. Atlanta Floor One screwed up and cut my family room carpet up instead of my office carpet. And I still rate them five stars. They deserve it. When Rudy and another flooring company's representative came and visited my home, I received very similar quotes from both of them. I asked them both for the same thing: To replace the carpeted office on the first floor with wood that matched the existing wood on the first floor, and to sand and stain the light, worn floor, with a darker stain. Rudy came in through the front door, and measured the office, the room on the right when you enter. He measured the rest of the wood areas on the first floor, and we discussed the details necessary to get a quote from him. When Rudy's team showed up to deliver the wood they needed to leave in the house for a few days to acclimate, they came in through the garage, and put the wood on the carpeted family room, which is on your right when you come in through the garage. They showed up a bit early, but waited for us as we returned from closing on the house with the key. When Rudy's team showed up to install the wood, again, on time, they entered through the garage. My wife let me know they arrived with a text, and asked in a text, a few minutes later, why they were cutting up our living room carpet. They made a mistake. Rudy had explained that the room they were replacing the carpet in was the room on your right when you walk in through the front door. The new wood was on the family room carpet, which is on your right when you walk in through the garage door. I understand how the mistake happened, but I was extremely frustrated. I called Rudy, he called his team, he let me know it was a mistake, and that he would make it right. As the project went on, Rudy's team did great work. They showed us two samples of stain on the actual floor, and did a great job with the stain we chose. The floor looked amazing after three coats of polyurethane. There were touch-ups needed, they came back and got the big ones, there were a lot of wood pieces all over the basement floor after they finished nailing down the office floor I ended up vacuuming up, the washer and dryer were never pushed back in place, and yeah, there was some stain on moulding that needed to be touched up. But here's the thing...those are all small details. The two squeaky areas I asked to have fixed don't squeak any more. The old wood looks great now. The new floor is indistinguishable from the old floor. I'm very happy with how my wood floor looks and feels. "But wait!" you say. "With all those details, how can you give Atlanta Floor One five stars?" Here's where Atlanta Floor One really came through. The carpet. Rudy's team screwed up, and Rudy instantly admitted it, and said he would make it right. Rudy sent someone over to patch together the carpet, but it was still clearly patched together and was going to look progressively worse as time went on. I was concerned Rudy was going to try to negotiate a discount off the project instead of replacing the carpet. He did not. Rudy sent over carpet samples for much cheaper carpet than the very high end carpet that had been cut up. My wife was shown those sampled and was asked to choose her color. She picked the color that match, and his team showed up several days later with cheap carpet to install. Fortunately, my mom stopped them before any install, and explained that Atlanta Floor One was not going to replace my very nice carpet with very cheap carpet. There was no yelling or fighting with Rudy, we simply discussed that while the carpet was somewhat old, it was very nice and in great shape, and we'd bought the house with no plans to replace that nice high end carpet. Rudy worked with us to find suitable carpet that my wife and I would be happy with. He asked us to confirm, before he ordered it, that it was what we wanted. He waited while we got samples and then ordered it once we gave the OK. It took a long time from when things started until Rudy finally had the carpet that my wife and I agreed on. A team showed up and did a great job installing it. Rudy himself showed up the next day for final details, like moving the washer and dryer back in place. This wasn't a great project for Rudy, I'm sure he was frustrated by the carpet and the issues it created, but he was always professional, responsive and reasonable. I have a lot of respect for his commitment to do things right. I paid the agreed upon amount to Rudy, and I have absolutely beautiful hardwood floors. My living room carpet looks just like it used to, except with newer carpet. I would gladly spend a bit more to work with an honorable, skilled craftsman like Rudy in the future.

They also used paint thinner to remove the glue which dulled the floor. Furthermore they would not take responsibility their actions. I had 4 experts look in person and they said they used way too much glue and you should never use paint thinner to remove the glue. I ended up having to pay someone to re-coat a brand new floor.

Peach Design responded quickly online and came the next day to give a quote in person. After agreeing to go with their company on Friday, they started the flooring the following Tuesday and finished it the next day (Wednesday). They communicated clearly, were responsive to our questions, and were very professional. The LVT they recommended was commercial grade which was much thicker and sturdier than what we previously had. The quote they gave was comparable to others but the reason we chose them was they noticed that there was a concern about our existing floor not being level which they planned to address during their install. The young woman there shut the door on my husband after he addressed the issue. She did not care whatsoever about it. It was a long process because it required knocking down everything I had and building everything from scratch. Because my project was large, I actually got quotes from many GCs around my area but I went with redemption in big part because of their prices. They were not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive either. But everytime my husband and I would specifically calculate a price for anything and ask them about their price, they would be right along the line range of what we we had calculated to be a respectful price. That always led me to think that they are very professional as well because obviously they are in business to make a profit but also to be fair to their customers. That was very important to me to be able to work with a company that thinks about their customers, their workers and their bottom line all at the same-time. I also felt that their payment terms aligned with ok materials are purchased they are at your house, first payment is due this day etc meaning they ask for payment when you can see where your funds are going and that allowed me to built trust throughout which is key for us when doing large projects. I also learned a lot from this project that is important to give your opinion often during the whole process. For example, I wanted my doors installed one way and once some of it was built, I realized that I need to tell the workers hey wait a minute, I actually think it looks better this way, lets change this or that before we go further. Communication is key when someone is working at your house for months, you cant just sit there and expect everyone to read your mind and ask to change things once is all finished. I felt I was able to communicate with everyone well and the workers knew very well exactly what we liked or didn't like all the time because we were always following the process. Each day that the workers finished their day, my husband and I will review how things looked and ask ourselves is this how we imagined it in our dreams? We were well aware that things may look different once installed or built but wanted to make sure that we catch anything we could potentionally not like later within a reasonable time to make adjustments. They were always very accomodating to us ofcourse within resonable expectations and within budget. I also felt that there were many times we would ask for things that were not initially quoted and they would right away tell us the change in price before it was done and I appreciated that as well. My deck and fence were done in a very reasonable time, yes we did have some delays but they were outside both of our control. You cant go into a project thinking is going to be quick, everything takes times and a lot of patience is required in construction projects this large and we knew this very well from the begining. I really enjoyed working with this company as communicaton with workers and project managers was smooth and I felt that our opinions mattered. I would love to work with them again in future projects to keep building a home that our children can enjoy for generations to come !
