Friend: "Where do you want to watch football?" Me: "I dunno man, this is your hood." Him: "How about that new place, Dames N Games?" Me: "Uhhh, as in the strip club?" Him: "It's a sports bar, it has 'Games' right in the name..." Me: "Don't bullshit me, it also says 'Dames'. Sundays are for cheering on football, not cheering on breasticles. " Him: "Can't I do both? Let's just check it out, if it's annoying we'll bounce." Me: "Fine..." It turns out we were both right, the place really is a sports bar and a strip club. I was worried it was going to be a strip club with tiny TVs just so they could lure in the occasional sports fan, envisioning me bending my neck trying to see the TV over an ass shaking all up in my face. Not the case at all. It's pretty much 50/50, you can do whichever you want because the strip club section is separated from the sports bar. I can't really speak to the girls because I was in the sports bar watching Michael Vick get his ass kicked all over the field, but the sports bar was far better than I expected. Big TVs, lots of them, all over the walls. Good drinks, decent prices, couple of drink specials. I didn't eat, but they had a lot of food options. Will I be coming back here? Probably not, there are too many good true sports bars a lot closer to me, but I'm still not gonna hate on this place. The one pain in the ass was even though I wasn't *in* the strip club area I still had to deal with the announcer which gets pretty obnoxious if you're trying to focus on football. Instead of hearing the game all I could hear was shit like "Up next is the beautiful RAIN, RAIN, RAIN ON DECK, get ready for RAIN, time to make it RAIN on RAIN." Loud as fuck too. I mean I get it, they're calling her to the stage, but it was giving me a headache. The girls sometimes wandered into the sports bar to see if anyone wanted dances but they were not aggressive about it which I appreciated. It's spacious, clean, and the bar staff was friendly. They do what they do pretty well. So there you have it. I'm a football purist, I can't take distractions, but if you like sports and scantily clad ladies at the same time then this is probably gonna be your jam. read more

Not sure what I can say that I haven't already read but... We came for an early NBA playoff game and it was dead. Fine by us since we got a great seat at the bar. The food was good. The burger deal is now $4.50 and doesn't come with beer. Still a good deal but after you add cheese it's $5. The nachos were average but at 11 dollars a bad deal. The waitress Jackie totally overcharged us $4 for adding meat which is included on the menu price. We called her out on it after she closed us out and made her give us a beer. She also gave us large beers without asking as they have 2 sizes... No biggie but sketchy. It is a strip club, they want all your cash. By the end of the game it was picking up. Caught a couple dances from a pretty hot girl--Elena, and my lady and I were out. Nice concept. Also owned by Spearmint Rhino so it's totally legit. SECURITY: They pat down the boys and run a meal detector on them but girls walk in free. So any cholo can have his wifey sneak a Beretta down her coochie and light it up if they want. It doesn't officially open until November 10 so you really cannot judge a soft opening the same way you would hypercritically judge everything else in the world. Overall it is an interesting concept and it seems like they are ironing out some solutions day by day to resolve some minor issues judging by the other reviews. David Cross has a bit about living in New York City where you constantly need to make a decision about either seeing the hottest person ever walk one way down the street or watching the craziest person ever with footie pajamas and a tinfoil hat go the other way. You have to choose one. And Dames N Games hits a similar, but not identical, Sophie's choice. The dichotomy here is that you can either watch Monday Night Football or you know, topless women dancing on a pole. You can't really do both. And if you are here with an all male crowd then you have to divert some attention away from the game to look at what is sliding down the pole, otherwise they start getting suspicious. For better or worse this was my first time ever at a strip club so I'm not even sure if I am supposed to refer to it as a "titty bar" or if that is somehow insensitive to the sports bar characteristic inherent in the "Games" portion of the name of the place. But here is something that is pretty useful to add in a review. If you need to turn in per diem expense reports and you were worried about turning in a receipt for beers at a place called Dames N Games then no need to worry because the billing is set up through a nondescript LLC. So jealous wives/girlfriends/mistresses and others who happen upon your receipts will be none the wiser about your visit to Dames N Games. Clever. But seriously do we call this a "strip joint" or what. I don't know. If you check in with the yelp app you get in without cover. For MNF there was no cover so I'm not sure if that will change after the soft opening period is over at the close of the week. But you need to show your license to verify you are not 12.9 years old. And then you get a pat down from the bouncer as well as swiped with the metal detector. Man this area must be rougher than I thought. It's decorated pleasantly nicely inside. You don't worry about how recently someone wiped it down or anything. So that is a good touch. Lots of televisions for MNF. The special was $2.75 which gets you a small glass of Bud Light or Coors Light (way smaller than a pint FYI) with a hamburger and fries. The hamburger is surprisingly good for one from a titty bar. The bun is soft, the tomato and onion are good quality, the meat is medium well-ish, it works well. The fries are tasty as well - just enough salt so you know it is there. The run of the mill drinks will run up your tab in light of the $2.75 benevolence you get one time. A run of the mill domestic beer will be $6.25. It's a fun atmosphere. It's not scuzzy or sleazy at all, in fact it is pretty upscale inside. It is good clean fun for a night out with friends or coworkers. The burger and fries are a nice touch if you want to avoid the drive-thru. And things will only get better with time as they learn and improve from the soft opening - like the long period of time it took to get the beer, nobody asked if we wanted more beers at any point and we had to go back to the bar to order ourselves, things like that. read more

The dancers were beautiful and the place itself was aesthetically beautiful. The waitress which served us with her smoky voice was by far the most beautiful woman in the building. We had a couple beers and had lunch. I ordered some tacos and they were on special for like a dollar. They were delicious but a bit small so I ordered several. Overall I have to say I like the place. Three Dollar Tuesday's are a staple for my friends and I because not only can we get steaks for a cheap price, but draft beers are the same price. Can't beat that. The door staff immediately greeted me with jokes and stress-free entry. Once inside I was sat by the VIP staff and was taken care of by a waitress shortly after. My friends and I ordered wings, steak, and fries. Although the wings could have had a little more sauce, they tasted great along with a dab of ranch. Every so often, Mayra would check on my table to make sure we were ok and if she could help us in any way. Nicely done sports bar/strip club establishment. Went here for a bachelor party recently and also saw some of the Bradley-Marquez fight. The place was packed in the bar area. We got there when the main event already had started so we were a little late. Bouncer at the door and woman taking the cover fee informed me that the Yelp check-in offer was not being accepted at the moment because of the pay-per-view fight. Fair enough. They weren't jerks about it so it was cool. $10 cover instead of Yelp check-in making it free entry. Place looks nice. The sports bar area is nice. Everything looks modern and new. Even the restrooms were clean with an attendant there to hand you paper towels. Strip club part was nothing out of the ordinary. It was clean with main stage, booths, tables, bar stool setups and high table setups. Plenty of seating options. The best man collected money so the group could get bottle service and a reserved seating area near the stage. That's probably the way to go if you're in a big group. Crowd is varied here. Saw a good amount of female patrons as well. That's always a good sign. It must mean the sleaziness factor of this joint must not be so bad. HA! One thing I thought was missing was that it seemed on a Saturday night of a major boxing match they didn't have enough dancers working. For the size of the place and the amount of people that were there for the fight they coulda had more ladies working. Just an observation. read more

All in all, Dames is my favorite strip club to go to in LA... Sometimes the vibe is off, but nine times out of 10, it's a great time with beautiful girls, strong drinks, and awesome energy! I'm pretty sure anyone who has a bad review on this place is only because they caught them on a bad day, but for the most part they do deliver as far as the girls, the drinks, the food, and the atmosphere. The lunch specials are all great and definitely worth the five bucks each... The appetizers are all pretty delicious also... I have yet to try a two dollar steak on Tuesday, but I will soon! I've been to various clubs over the years, from L.A. to Vegas to Texas, but never had the experience of being ripped-off on my credit card before. In addition to items charged at the bar, I was charged for a bottle of Don Julio 1942 that I never saw, as well as a drink that was mistaken (Tanqueray on the rocks) -- I asked for a glass of White Zin, and got them both (but the mistaken drink charged for, too). Okay, bad enough, but then the number of lap dances I got was made confusing for me to tally; I was fine when told I was at about $850 dollars -- in addition to placing $200 at our table that would be returned just to "hold" the table (never returned). I never get drunk, so it had nothing to do with that. My dancer informed me I still had some dance time left over for the session, and then it went beyond that WITHOUT being told; by the time I tallied up everything, it was over 3K. I have no problem paying it, but like any person, I respectfully don't like to be ripped off (and yes, consider myself a damn good tipper). Alas, I'll never visit D & G again. The ladies are above average-looking, and fine for a Los Angeles club. The decor is nice, though when I went on a Saturday, it seemed pretty empty. used to like coming here after work to unwind with a cold drink and a good show.. I have tried coming on 2 separate Friday nights n what a bust! Both times i called ahead to inquire on the cover charge.. The moron who answered said one thing and 5 min later i walk in and the girl at front with the poorly done broken acrylic nails, had no desire to do her job and has the worst customer service, saying the cover charge was 3x more than what i was just told on the phone. No thank you.. I have to pay to spend my money on drinks n dances????? GTFO Fast forward to the next Fri (2 weeks ago to be exact) again i called. Again the moron on the phone had no idea about the business he is working in.. Either he is a bigger moron than the one they have at the front counter or he was new because my first question was 1. My last visit was good but this time was even better. I stopped in during lunch to grab an ice cold brew to beat the heat. Ended up getting some tacos that were excellent for $5 which is their lunch special. They had a few cute girls working which was surprising for the time of the day. Chris and Donny (Doorman and Security) made the overall experience pleasant as it was seamless getting in with the Yelp review and didn't have any issues getting ones. Went in for the Canelo vs Chavez Jr fight. Great atmosphere! Got there early enough to score a good table. The sliders were a great appetizers and the wings were okay. This place is actually pretty good. They have bar area, food area, and the strip area for the dances. There is a back room for private dances, and the girls there are pretty hot. The price is average, $5 for entry. DJ is arguably not bad. There is a smoking patio where you can smoke and meet some chill customers for an interesting gangster story. When I was enjoying myself there, a girl on stage waved at me, and wanted me to throw her some cash. We agreed to have a little private dance, everything was going perfectly, I needed it that night. But she didn't come back to me afterwards. She lied to me. That's the last thing you want to go through in a strip club. She might just forgot or didn't see me in the dark, but I felt very insulted and killed all the vibe. It ruined my night, and I couldn't wait to get the fuck out after that. I was having a bad day already, and this place made it worse. If I had cancer, I might just die there out of rage. I've had way worse experiences in other strip clubs before. I couldn't stop wondering if all white strippers are not professional enough or just pure evil. I will never go back to this place again simply because I need to forget that damn night. This club was so much fun! Came here with my husband and a group of friends.. checked in on yelp for free admission! Lap dance was 20 per song 30 for couples. Awesome experience plus a bar...got a little tipsy, but girls were hot and sexy. Kept it classy and seductive, not raunchy and trashy at all. 3 polls and 3 girls at a time on the main dance floor. Parking is very minimal. Decent environment. Hot wings are great! The free admission option by checking in Yelp apparently only works on their slow nights. Busier nights like a Tuesday is a $7.00 entry fee, $5.00 entry fee for a slower day/night. Although the fee isn't too bad compared to other clubs, I would've given more stars if the check in feature was applicable on Tuesdays but, as usual... I always make the best of my time. read more

Date of visit: 10/26/12 A buddy from work suggested to visit this place after seeing the sign on the 10fwy; so after work, we drove through the industrial part of LA, just south of downtown to see what the fuss was about. It was about after 5 when we got in and first impression was good; valet service was available but if you can find parking on the street, I'd suggest it. After getting in, there were about 20 patrons with about 8 girls working. We sat down towards the back to check how the club played out, and hoping to get a drink from one of the waitresses. But after about 5 minutes of no service, we decided to just hit the bar. I asked for their drink special and was told they didn't have one (on a Friday evening). But I was told they had a burger special for $2.75 (burger, fries, and small draft beer). The burger was actually good and presented well on a plate; the food tasted good with a better price! Our waitress, "Christabel," helped us out throughout the evening and casually talked to us, both professionally and personally. I'd like to add that she went out of her way to help us with drinks, food, and the ladies to come to us; so if you're in the area, make sure to ask for her (blond hair, about 5'08, Lithuanian). But much like other similar establishments, it has its flaws. Flaws: There were girls who just straight out ask, "So are you ready for a dance?." I don't mind the straight forward approach but it's best to get your "name" first before I buy one. And there were girls who seemed disinterested, just sitting in the corner, texting their baby-daddy. Also, the DJ mentioned a VIP, half hour lap dance special. But when I asked different girls about it, I got back 4 different answers. Maybe that is something that needs to be brought up. Here are the good things: No cover, but only until Nov. 10th when they have their official grand opening. So I think with all the kinks, there's time to adjust them. Food was good but we only had the burger so I can't speak about the other items on the menu. So here are my recommendations: "Aria (White, 23)": good personality, easy on the eyes, nice butt but has extra curves, will actually talk to you first. She also works at Deja Vu. "Selene (Hispanic, 25)": one of the better girls at that time, petite, nice body, personable. She hung out with us until she went home to be with her kids. "Cassidy (Hispanic, 31)": another hottie, , nice body, she was "Selene's" friend and told her to hang out with us after she left. The other girls give her dirty looks because she's one of the most sought after girl for dances. "Sonia (Hispanic, 31)": very good body, good personality, and likes to joke around. She likes tequila (she buys the drink herself) and will drink with you. Another sought after girl. She also works at the Spearmint in Torrance and in the valley. My buddy had a couple of Asian girls, one looked like she was 12 (creepy)! I'm not much into Asians, but to each their own. My advice: -There's a shift change at 6. So between 6-6:30, only 1 or 2 girls will be walking around the club. -There's actually a very good selection of girls in the afternoon; the evening girls were the same quality as the afternoon. -Dances are $15, so bring $5's instead of $20's -Oh yeah, because they serve alcohol, they are only bikini dances. So if your intent is to see some flesh, you might get disappointed. This is just my two cents about this place, so don't take my word for it. Enjoy and let me know how you guys like it. read more

Date of visit 11/12/12 Damn billboard on the 10fwy everyday, I had to check the place out for Monday night football. Hooked up with my boy who frequents the bar scene and is a big spender. The place is a Strip Joint/Sports Bar pretty cool idea and set up, it's two separate rooms. I was here for the sports bar which had big screens with lots of room to sit comfortably. Unfortunately that's all the good things I can say: Service was awful, waited forever for a waitress to come over, when she finally did she didn't know the menu for beers or food! When we got our first round of beers the head was 1/4 of the glass, when we mentioned it to the waitress she said the "the manager poured it" as he walked by so we called him over. As new customers to a new place we gave him some praise for the place along with some critique for the lack of beer selection, poor service and how the beer was poured. Rather than offering to make our experience more enjoyable he began to give us a history lesson on marketing beer in a bar. He also talked about how this wasn't his "main club" but just ran it part time and blah, blah blah...when he was finally done, my buddy just said - "the way you poured this beer as a manager is embarrassing" to which he replied "there's the door" Oh, really? You won't get a dime from me, brother. So my buddy and I got up and walked out but not before we confronted him and told him that we found the door and we were leaving. He tried to give us yet another long winded explanation on why he acted the way he did and finally offered to buy us a beer to stay. We took our business to Buffalo Wild Wings and had a great time watching the rest of the game! Here's a business lesson for your Dames N Games - you spend all this money on marketing to get new people to your spot and then your management team of all people don't have a clue on how to treat a paying customer. Spend less on marketing and more on customer service. It's never just one customer, thanks to Yelp I hope many more potential customers think twice about coming here because I sure wont. read more

They were only topless when they were dancing on stage. I saw guys getting lap dances and I felt bad they wasted their money because the women looked like they had hemorrhoids when they dances. They were full clothed when not on stage. Who in the world wants a fully clothed lap dance? On top of that 95% of the women are just plain lazy. You dance for tips and lap dances. I've never seen so many lazy women. Can't even call them strippers, they don't strip. Can't call them dancers, they don't dance. There was only one girl that actually knew how to work the pole. They rest twirled around like they were playing merry go round. I think because I have been to true strip clubs my standards are way too high and guys in LA don't know they are practically being robbed. They should convert to a sports bar. read more
