    duck pappardelle

We stopped into this fun, dimly lit restaurant that feels tucked away in a neighborhood and immediately loved the atmosphere. It has a cool, hip vibe inside that makes it perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, side salad, duck pappardelle, and the suppli al telefono. Everything was delicious, and every dish that came out of the kitchen looked just as good as what we ordered. One thing to note is that it's an alcohol-free establishment, but that was no issue for us because the mocktails were fantastic. Thoughtful, flavorful, and a perfect complement to the meal. The menu feels creative without being intimidating, and the whole experience left us wanting to come back and work our way through the rest of it. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

A lovely beautiful restaurant in Mar Vista. The restaurant was lively on a Sunday afternoon, and we made brunch resys for 12pm. Wish we did outdoors because the weather was so nice; and indoors can get a tad too loud. Everything on the brunch menu sounded delicious, we went with the Cacio E Pepe egg toast, zucchini pizza and seasonal peach and burrata dish. We LOVED the zucchini pizza (dough/bread was delicious and the toppings complimented the dish so well). Cacio e Pepe eggs were fun, toast was a tad burnt. And the seasonal burrata and peach app was fresh and light. Our server offered hot sauce without notifying us that it was an additional $2. If we had known, we wouldn't have ordered it...wish they would let their customers of this extra charge moving forward.

Fabulous Italian neighborhood restaurant in Mar Vista! Beethoven Market delivered on flavor and professional service. The fresh grapefruit juice was tangy and refreshing- so good! The chicken-stuffed fried green olives were savory and super tasty as well. The broccolini was lemony and tender, while the cacio e pepe was creamy, warm and peppery- delicious! The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, relatively upscale but definitely still approachable.

BRUH GET THE MEATBALLS. They are so so good. Pastas are also solid. Honestly, the mocktails are not bad. Worth $15 good? No, but they were fine. The location and patio seating is what sells me here. The neighborhood is nice to walk around afterwards. Street parking is easy. Even if you're coming on a weeknight, I would suggest making a reservation.

We've been here twice. First time we had the mushroom pizza, broccolini, and sorbet. This time we ordered the squash pizza and peach-burrata plate and the tonic drink. The server will ask you if you want chili, oil, parm, and ranch. They're charged as individual toppings btw. We were not informed, so giving the yelp community a heads up! The squash pizza was definitely photogenic. The crust was airy and crispy. The ricotta looks like it was subbed with crème fraiche. When we come back, we're going to order the mushroom pizza again.

Such a cute neighborhood spot in samo! I love the friendly ambiance and the outdoor heated patio here. The food is solid but I thought the pizza was definitely better than the pasta here. We ordered octopus and fried rice balls as starters. The octopus was very good and tender but so small. I really enjoyed the beans in the octopus dish and thought they were so well balanced with the octopus! For main, we ordered lemon pasta and mushroom pizza. The lemon pasta was very simple but delicious. The mushroom pizza was very very good. For desserts, the tiramisu was very light and fluffy. It was different from what I've had elsewhere and we really enjoyed it. Hopefully they get their liquor license back soon so I can be back to try some drinks :)

The ambiance and atmosphere is where this restaurant shines. Tucked away in an unsuspecting corner location, this place quite literally defines "neighborhood gem." The staff and patrons are an attractive young, to older millennial crowd. The pizza was delicious and the other bites were pretty good as well. It's a shame that they don't have their liquor license, as they seem to have a wine collection hidden away. I was shocked by the prices for mocktails and that was kind of a turn off to be quite honest. A lot of their dishes seem like they'd pair well with a glass of wine, so I'll be back if and when they get their license.

I went here for dinner with a group of 4 on a Friday evening. We made a reservation online and were seated on the patio. Definitely recommend the patio if you want to talk because it was quite loud inside with the music. We ordered 8 dishes to share between us and were quite full afterwards! We got the focaccia to start, along with the octopus, panzanella salad, mushroom pizza, 2 pastas, hanger steak and pork collar. My favorite from all the dishes was the mushroom pizza as it was very savory, although I with the crust was not as big as sometimes it took up half the slice. The meats were all cooked well and were flavorful! They no longer sell alcohol though have a large variety of nonalcoholic drinks available. Patio is dog friendly. Street parking only.

The must get and the best thing on the menu was the focaccia with ricotta! For 2 people, we ordered an appetizer, 2 pastas, 1 pizza, a salad, a side of potatoes and a desert (tiramisu!). We were still a bit hungry. We had the cacio and limone, so good, portions were small though. You have to end the meal with the tiramisu. They come around with this huge platter and scoop a big scoop of it for the table. I got a 845pm reservation. Called earlier in the week, left a voicemail, never got a call back to change my reservation. BUT, at least they got us in 45 mins earlier which I really appreciated! Cute place, sit outside (it's a vibe, cute, romantic, but definitely do outside), love how it's in a cute neighborhood, parking was right out front...may be difficult as you have to probably find within the neighborhood!

Amongst one of LA's most suburban neighborhoods, Beethoven Market is the perfect brunch spot to walk over to if you live nearby or are in the area, looking for a pretty ambiance and good food. There's nearby street parking, even on the bustling weekends. It was pretty crowded for our Saturday brunch reservation, but it's part of the vibe. I ordered the Beet and Farro salad along with the Zucchini and Ricotta pizza. The salad was so delicious and refreshing I forgot to take a picture! Heavy on the dill and mostly cucumber, so don't expect your traditional leafy greens with your beets. The zucchini ricotta pizza was to die for, and paired so perfectly with a thin crust pizza and pesto. The pesto tasted homemade, fresh out of the kitchen. Can't wait to come back!

I recently went to Beethoven Market with my mentor (my "work mom") whom I hadn't seen in over two years, so this was a really meaningful catch-up for us. She arrived right when they opened for dinner around 5pm and ordered mocktails, salads, pizza, and tiramisu. The food and atmosphere were lovely, and I especially appreciated the seating... comfortable cushioned chairs with back support. As someone with multiple sclerosis, that made a real difference, especially compared to many newer restaurants that prioritize aesthetics over comfort. We were so engaged in catching up that time honestly flew by, and we didn't realize it was already a little after 7:15. At that point, a staff member (host or manager) kindly informed us that they had upcoming reservations and would need the table. I completely understand and respect restaurant reservation policies, and I don't fault the staff for needing to turn the table. However, the moment felt a bit abrupt, especially since we hadn't received any earlier heads-up that our seating time was coming to an end. It would have made a big difference to have a gentle check-in or even an offer to transition us somewhere else to continue our conversation. Overall, we really enjoyed the food, ambiance, and comfort of the space, and I would still return. This was just one moment where a bit more communication or softness in delivery could have made an already great experience feel seamless from start to finish.

What a completely charming neighborhood spot (literally) in the Mar Vista/Palms area! The restaurant is warm and beautifully charming and decorated with a California ease, a perfect spot for a brunch or a casual dinner. Service was friendly and fast once we ordered and portions were just right at brunch. My friends ordered the pastas and breakfast sandwich and I had the mushroom toast which was really delicious. The whipped ricotta with the chanterelles on a nice piece of rustic bread - chef's kiss! I also tried one of their many mocktails, the Natural High, and not only was it stunning it also tasted great, well balanced with turmeric and blended with egg white. Would absolutely come back to try some of their other items! Parking was pretty easy too! Found street parking in the neighborhood.

Wow this place was amazing. I felt good after and not heavy but I could have lived without the zucchini squash blossoms. The service was very nice and kept refilling my water. The ambiance was perfect. I will be back

The sauce helped bring some juiciness back and balanced it out. The bluefin tuna bibimbap was pretty enjoyable. It added a slightly minty flavor that complemented the tuna without taking over the dish. The beef short rib was easily the standout. PERFECTLY cooked, incredibly tender, and seasoned just right. The richness of the meat paired so well with the lettuce wraps that it almost feels like they should automatically come with the dish. Service was good and everything came out smoothly. Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. My partner and I tried Ospi today and I think we may have caught them on a bad day. We were very…read moreexcited to try their happy hour and looked forward to checking it out since we love Jemma. We requested to not be sandwiched between two other tables and were sat in a nice location. However, we were waiting for a while and no one was coming to take our order. I kept making eye contact with the host booth and they'd look away and they finally they said - "has no one helped you?" And I confirmed. We had a server come and they apologized, took our order and relayed that our server is on his break. We realized happy hour was ending and ordered more when the drinks were dropped off. To get extra condiments, I needed to flag someone after trying to get their attention. Although the food came quickly, no one checked on us the entire visit. We asked the gentleman clearing our plates to bring us the check and we paid on our phone and left. Hearing the server at the table next to us, they asked about allergies, were checking in on how things are going every step of the way, offering dessert and providing way more than the very basic service that we needed to request. I'm honestly shocked that we had this very poor service experience. As for food and drink, the Aperol spritz and cocktail flight was solid. Fries were really great. The vodka rigatoni had a nice kick to it and caesar salad and meatballs were really tasty. As you can see, food was great, and I highly recommend their happy hour. However, the service was just so poor and based on this experience, I'm not too sure that I'd ever dine at Ospi again!
