    Fish and chips.
    Michelle J.

Cold rainy night and I chose to sit in the bar area, by the door. I was freezing. Nice little place. Great friendly staff. Went in specifically for the fish and chips. They delivered! Cod surrounded by Crispy flavorful batter, fries and slaw. Not sure if the slaw had any type of dressing on it. I tasted it but usually don't eat the slaw. Fries were fresh and crispy. The tartar sauce was amazing. Not your regular sauce. I cannot remember what else was in it but it was so good. I used it for my fries. Was staying just across the way and hotel guests receive a discount when they show their room key. I would definitely stop in again to try other things on the menu.

My wife and I are celebrating our 19th anniversary. We are here in Bremerton for a work conference. I looked up reviews for a place to have our special dinner and the Axe & Arrow had some great reviews. Unbeknownst to me, it is literally across the street from our hotel! Absolutely delicious food! The owner was our server and she made us feel like we were guests in her home. We live in Bonney Lake but we will be back. 5 stars 100%

Prime rib dip is amazing first off. The desert though...churro de leche cake was off the. Chain devious.

Looking forward to a date night, my husband and I ventured into Axe & Arrow for a burger and a beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a huge building inside, with what seems like two separate areas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated at the "upper section" away from the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not the restaurants fault, but it started off frustrating because we were seated by a large family with several loud children running around the tables and banging their feet on the booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Loud enough to the point where a couple who sat next to us actually left before ordering. We wanted to really eat here, so we stayed. The next thing that sucked was they were out of lumpia, so we opted for the coconut shrimp appetizer instead. We both ordered the wagyu burger with fries, it was delicious and well cooked. I saw different beer and cider menu items online, and I got excited to try some, but maybe it was the menu we were handed or because we weren't close to the bar that we didn't get the full list of beers and ciders. It seemed limited for what I saw online, and considering it says they're a Gastropub. All in all the food and drinks were good, but nothing above and beyond.

Very clean. Great service. Friendly staff.

Ace & Arrow Review The food came out fast and tasted solid nothing fussy, just good and satisfying. The staff was warm and welcoming, and service moved along at a smooth clip. Plenty of drink options too, which kept things fun. A straightforward, easy stop with zero hassle and all the right basics.

Wandered into this place to "just try the food and drinks"--cut to us sharing a Wagyu burger like we were on a bougie episode of Top Chef: Bar Edition. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place gives off that old-school bar vibe but with a modern flair, like your cool uncle who just discovered designer sneakers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar itself? Pretty slick. Felt classy enough to sip an old fashioned but chill enough that I didn't have to Google which fork to use.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the Wagyu burger and split it--shoutout to the kitchen crew for slicing it for us like burger-surgeons. That thing was juicy, flavorful, and honestly might've ruined regular burgers for me. You could taste the quality, like each bite whispered, "This is not your average beef, peasant." 10/10 would return to try more of the menu, especially if the rest of it is as seasoned (and well-behaved) as that burger.

Stopped by during my business trip on Yelp's recommendation--perfect spot for mixed cravings! My my wife loved his Elk Burger with bacon-pecan jam, while my Soy Chicken Plate hit the spot. Highlights: Unique burger options Delicious Asian fusion [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dog-friendly patio[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly, accommodating staff Prices were fair, portions satisfying. Exactly what we needed after a long day--will return!

Kudos to our server, Kat, as she was so smiley and friendly! We ordered the house rolls that came with honey butter and salmon dip that came with house made crackers. These were both amazing!!! My drink was a key lime martini. It was perfectly balanced with sweet and tart! My husband order the beef bolognese with handmade pasta. Tasted just like Italy! I ordered the catch of the day: pan roasted Coho salmon. So flavorful and cooked perfectly. Desert was the coconut cake with homemade vanilla ice cream. Flavors were great but the cake was too dense for my liking. The ice cream however, so creamy and perfect!!! This is a great place for a date night or special occasion. We look forward to going back and trying some steak! Is it worth the drive?...yes

I ordered the house rolls, smoked salmon dip with house made crackers and beef bolognese. The noodles were also house made. Cooked perfect! Sauce was just like how you would have it in Italy. Satisfying dish. My wife had the salmon and said it was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was great, music playing so not quite but talkative. Prices were a little high but the quality justified the price. Would I recommend this place to my mom? Yes!

We had a very nice server, however she never even asked whether we wanted a second drink - fair as we most certainly didn't. I ordered the special margarita (dragon fruit and mango) - instead I got downgraded to the house margarita which tasted like sh$tty margarita mix sans tequila. This absolutely terrible drink was served in a tumbler sized glass full of ice, as if I would not realize the drink scam going on here. My wife ordered a strawberry basil summer cooler - it lacked flavor and even the hint of ETOH. Well, that was the highlight of our onetime only experience. The food was completely lacking in seasoning - the chefs must have been trained in Poulsbo. My best guess, drunk boaters do not care that the food is not well cooked and under seasoned. Given their likely inebriated state, they probably also don't care that they are being given drinks with almost no alcohol and even worse execution. Caveat Emptor

And to me, the price is too high for the food to just be "fine." The mocktails are always delicious, and one time they made me a Pimm's cup. I've also sipped a few of my family's cocktails and they're quite good. The best thing I had was a vegan sloppy Joe with chickpeas a few years ago. The vegan Caesar salad is good. They seem to have a housemade veggie burger on the menu year round, but it's on a brioche bun so if you want to get it vegan it just comes without a bun... I had it once with the bun and even then I found it pretty dry and underwhelming, especially for the price. ($18 with a pickle and a handful of their thick fries [the fries are tasty and vegan]). We went yesterday and I got a squash appetizer without the crème fresh, and half the squash was undercooked (like so hard I couldn't put a fork through it). I told the server and they comped the dish, but even the part that was edible wasn't that great, so I didn't really want a replacement. My sister likes the steak, she's had it twice and the steak is cooked well, the sauce is good, but the carrots have been undercooked both times. She agrees that the drinks are better than the food. She also says the desserts are good. My mom thought the crab cakes were delicious, her Brussels sprouts were not undercooked. The people who work there are lovely, and it's a good vibe, but it might just be a drinks & desserts spot for me.
