I ordered the Oklahoma Smash burger last night and I have to say it was the worst burger I've ever tried to eat. The onions were absolutely burned black as was the outside of the burger. The 2 bites I ate all I could taste was burned onions and burned hamburger. The hamburger came with no sauces on it as well. The potatoes were not seasoned and many were not cooked all the way through. It was terrible, especially after spending $20. I will not be eating or ordering from there again ! read more

Remedy is exactly what this town needed. We headed straight to the rooftop and the views of the water and the shipyard are unbeatable, especially around sunset. The cocktails here are top-tier--you can tell the bartenders actually know their craft. I tried the Smoke & Mirrors and it was perfectly balanced. This is my first time visit to Remedy and it was a very positive experience. We were greeted upon arrival and could order beverages. The menu for Sunday brunch as well as the menu for the daily lunch and dinner choices was also provided upon arrival. I selected the brunch special of eggs Benedict and my friend ordered meat loaf from the dinner menu. We both enjoyed our meals which arrive hot and in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe online times specifically Yelp and Google should be changed because everywhere it says ya'll close at 1am, we went on June 19, 2025 (Thursday night) close to midnight, bar area was full (of dudes), and the lady bartender with a dark/black hair serving 10 other men or prolly more screamed at us and said, "We're closed!!" As she was serving and making drinks for other customers that are dudes. I mean I get it, more tips for her from men, but at least close the door and turn your open sign off. This disappointing first visit all thanks to that bartender, made the ambiance awkward and uncomfortable. Ahhh yes, this was the remedy we needed on a Tuesday night! My boyfriend noticed Remedy was open and we decided to check it out. I didn't think a bar would have excellent food, but it was legit the best food I have had for a place that's main purpose is to serve alcohol! There was a wait for the food...apparently, it was the cook's first night on the job. If the server didn't tell us that, we wouldn't have known! Again, the food was so delicious; it was worh the wait. The poutine fries were quite tasty. The brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection! I'm not usually a fan, but the sauce and crispiness were amazing. The salmon and potatoes also won me over. Karaoke was going on in the back. Other patrons were playing games. Service was hurried, but given it was a busy Friday night, that's understandable. The house salad was fresh and satisfying, but unfortunately, the entrees didn't live up to expectations. The BLT was extremely basic, and the fries didn't help its case. The "meatloaf" appeared to be a hamburger patty covered in gravy and topped with crispy onions -- not quite what we had in mind. Amazing atmosphere! We came by and saw a sign that they were closed for a private event but it had just ended and they welcomed us with open arms while some of those attendees stayed and others left. It was pretty quiet when we went in there on a Tuesday at 4 PM, which is actually a plus for me. Most places, when you sit down to have a drink, you have to contend with loud music, and clinking dishes. This was a great place to have a conversation. The drink order I placed was a call: a gin martini with a lemon twist. A simple drink, but hardly ever made well in most places that I go. I've actually been to distilleries that make gin, but make lousy martinis. When I saw the bartender pull the vermouth out of the refrigerator, I was interested. When she grabbed the Beefeater instead of a plastic well bottle, I was intrigued. When she asked if I wanted a lemon twist or olive for garnish, I was excited. When she stirred it, instead of shaking it, I was ecstatic. It was the best martini I've had outside my own home, bar none. Cold, crisp, and not overly diluted.I followed that with a rye Manhattan that was also on the money. Their house drinks looked good, and they also have some premium cocktails for a little more. But I have a suspicion that the bartender is skilled enough to handle most call out drinks that you might throw at her. For food, they have a lot of entrees in the $20-30 range. They also have a Tuesday night steak special, a ball tip sirloin with fries for $13. For a couple bucks you can get your favorite adds. Steaks were done perfectly and were better than you expect from a $13 steak. All of their nightly specials sounded interesting, and were very well priced. As a Navy sailor who has been stationed in Japan and Oahu, I've been fortunate to be in proximity of amazing restaurants, cafes, and bars. Finding myself stationed in Bremerton has been, ummm, disappointing to say the least. I give this town a hard time and it's primarily due to what I consider a lack of great dining choices. Whereas Kingston, Port Townsend and Bainbridge are wonderful ferry hubs, Bremerton never seems to have taken advantage of its opportunities since it was made a naval base more than 100 years ago. My attitude changed on Wednesday night. Prior to seeing a movie at SEE theater in downtown Bremerton, I was talked into going inside Remedy Speakeasy (https://www.remedyspeakeasy.com/menus/) by a few gentlemen enjoying their drinks and cigars in the outdoor seating area. One of the men told me I'd be pleasantly surprised, especially if I ordered the deviled eggs. "Okay, sir. Challenge accepted!" Inside, I'm warmly greeted by the staff and some fellow patrons, so the place is already off to a good review (it's really the little things which count). I opt to sit at the bar and marvel at the top shelf liquor on display. The mixologists here definitely have a great selection to choose from and that was noted when I ordered an Old Fashioned and rather than being given bartender's choice, I was asked which whiskey I prefer. The menu cocktail choices were also impressive. Since the movie was beginning in less than an hour, I didn't have time to order any mains. I opted for the aforementioned deviled eggs along with poutine. The latter is something I never order outside of Montreal (yes, I'm a good snob), but upon seeing the person beside me with it, I saw it was worth getting. It was worth getting! Absolutely phenomenal. The gravy was spot on and the curds slowly melted like they should, over the properly blanched and fried fresh potatoes. Now these deviled eggs. Phew. They are phenomenal. You get six and have your choice of which six options to choose. I opted for one of each and I can't tell you which was best because they are all delicious. I thought it was too late to remedy- pardon the pun- how I felt about Bremerton's food scene, but Remedy has changed my mind. The building has a gorgeous bar top, and cute prohibition period pictures. The restaurant has so much potential. If the had music to met the ambiance be that extra touch. They do have a couple roaring 20 things devil eggs, and mint julep. Ice box cake made in the 1930's to promote the icebox. The bartender did make my husband a solid old fashion. The drinks are expensive we were charged 15 bucks for his old fashion. He didn't upgrade to a whiskey it was really odd how it was rang in. I had a Moscow mule and missing the ginger beer, was just ehh they rang it in as a soda and six bucks for the vodka. Definitely do not order. The burgers are super huge and delicious everything but everything else is so so. The burger was juicy looked to be hand formed and cooked to perfection. The kitchen made a goof. We order a side salad and got fries. They quickly made two side salads but they definitely missed the mark had like a 1/3 cup of giant dense cheese curds, shredded carrot . We had asked for the lemon vinaigrette and got some weird ranch/dill sauce. We ordered the tomato onion jam. Definitely more like a ketchup not jammy was definitely not something I enjoyed and I love sauces. Based on the servers recommendation my mom got the Mahi Mahi and had risotto with it. Definitely not a risotto more like a rice pilaf. No creaminess but the fish was cooked very well. My daughter got the kids portion Mac and cheese does not say it on the menu but they do have it . Look amazing everyone had food envy but my daughter didn't touch it as she said it was missing the cheese. I was surprised because it looked like it was there but when we tasted it tasted like they forgot the cheese in the Béchamel sauce to make it a Mac and cheese. Appetizers: The mushroom were nothing special I wouldn't order them no garlic herb smoked salmon mousse not sure where the mousse was because it was just a breadcrumb mixture. The bartender and server had a tiff in the restaurant, he brought us a drink that was suppose to go for the patio. Server put P5 . She ripped it out of his hand to take outside and spilling some of it in the floor. Bartender said she's to put the labeling to O for outside and not p as it makes more sense . They bickered about it on the floor was such an odd exchange. I will definitely say overall the meats were spot on and I would go back just for a burger, no side but it'd be an expensive burger without a side. Our bill came to a little over 145 bucks before tip. Which is just slightly under what we spent at Ruth Chris's. I did leave a comment card and got a message from the owner apologizing for our service and offering a free drink which was really nice. We will definitely try again. This is the best place in Bremerton to get a cocktail! My husband and I have been twice now and we have always had a great experience with the staff, owner, and other people sitting at the bar. We have had their chili, risotto, brussels sprout and stuffed mushrooms and enjoyed every meal. This place has humans from all walks of life tied together. You walk into a speakeasy. We are, by nature, all here for the same thing. We are here to enjoy pre-prohibition bliss in a post-prohibition world. The drinks are phenomenal. This is a *speakeasy*. We are here for the drinks and for the speakin easy folks! Their cocktail menu is as diverse as their patronage. For the price, the compared artisan work by these bartenders cannot be compared. The detail they put into these drinks and to the energy is just outstanding. I love it. The food is awesome. You want heavy gravy laden potatoes you couldn't fathom to finish; you got it. You want lighter and more fibrous fare, these guys have got you. Now for the most important part. There is no safer place from my perspective.
