We travel with our dog and this restaurant was very accommodating to our pup providing comfortable outdoor patio seating. It has a full bar with refreshing cocktails. We ordered a burger and a prime rib sandwich. Both were excellent with delicious sides. The wait staff couldn't have been more friendly and efficient. First time here in hazleton. We've been to the Damon's in Myrtle Beach and loved it. His location in Hazleton is just as good. My hubby had the falloff the bone ribs. So good! I had the wings. We had dinner here after a long day driving. The food was delicious but when we asked the hostess if they had a gluten free menu, she told us no but we have salads! Nothing like ignorant staff! We enjoyed the big screen TV's but we were not told about the availability of speeders for the table. We had to ask the waiter, who quickly went and got us one. We were on the road and spent the night at the adjacent Fairfield Inn. We did not want to drive anywhere so we went to Damons. We thought we were going to have run of the mill food and beer there how wrong we were. The hot wings were above par along with the selection of beers on tap. Was amazed they had Long Train on tap. Good atmosphere and good staff but the food needs some love. We went here because of the good reviews. The ribs were very poor. The steak was good but over done for what we asked. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes. The vegetable of the day was green beans but they were BARELY cooked. I grew up eating beans straight from the field...and these tasted just like that except they were slightly warm. If they were cooked I'm sure they would have been good because they were obviously fresh. This was the first restaurant I can remember where I didn't ask for my leftovers to be boxed and taken home. I'm a sucker for some ribs but I just left them on the plate. :( We did ask for some cake to go, which is pretty good. Pretty sure the desert is not made in restaurant. This place is probably a great place during football season. Food was good we had potato skins as an appetizer, Shepards pie, pot roast and a my daughter had a chicken quesadilla which she didn't take her hands off of until it was gone, my pot roast was decent (not the best) but the portion was huge,definitely enough to take home for later. First off I don't like negative reviews. I will never give a negative review unless I have tried a place more than once. Service had a bit to be desired. Our waitress rarely stopped by the table for drinks or to even check-in despite us being one of two tables that she appeared to have. Most of the time that we tried to get something, we had to flag her down from wrapping silverware and talking to other staff over by the kitchen. After trying to use a gift card, the waitress returned to the table to inform us that the gift card had no balance, even after showing her the online balance check from our phone while she stood there. After telling us that she would attempt to use the card again, we didn't see her again for another 30 minutes. She finally returned to ask if there was something wrong. We inquired about the gift card issue to be told, "Oh yeah. It went through." Seriously?! It's a shame that these restaurants are no longer part of chain, because it seems like they were run much better years ago. Overall, the food wasn't terrible, but nothing overly exciting. This place was awesome! I stopped at the hotel next to it for the night. Didn't want to eat in the hotel restaurant because I wasn't sure about it. Walked over to Damons, and was surprised. First the staff, I am a 30-year old single guy, and them having a staff of gorgeous women is always a plus. They were really nice to everyone, even the weird old men at the bar. They all worked together which after working at a restaurant you don't see out of a group of girls. I had the bartender asking me if I wanted more drinks, another girl bringing my food out, another girl just stopping to see how the food/service was. The atmosphere was awesome a bunch of TVs, which for a guy who loves college football was awesome. They had the Auburn/Alabama game on as well as the Oregon/Oregon St game. It took me a little while to figure out why the hell anyone would want to watch the Big10 network but then I remembered where I was. I ordered a BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was one of the better bar pizzas I have had, and I have had a bunch of great ones out in the South Shore and in the Boston, MA area. For beers, they have all types of beers there, one of the toughest decisions was finding one that I wanted to stick with. I felt they probably thought I was a weirdo because I had a bud bottle because I wasnt sure what I wanted, then tried the local (I think) IPA, then a couple of Dogfish Heads, and then moved to the Coors drafts. I had a long day of travel, and got a hotel and found that this bar made for a relaxing evening before I had to wake up and get on the road again. I left at half-time of the Alabama game and went to my hotels bar, and at one point debated going back over there to watch the rest of the game since the bar is open until 2am. I don't know if I have given a place 5-stars in a while but this place deserves it. I will stop by there again on my drive back to see my parents next year. read more

Excellent food and customer service! I'm from out of town and a few friends and I went to Damon's for dinner 2 days ago. The food was delicious and our server was very nice. But what impressed me the most is that I accidentally left my car keys at the table and didn't even realize it until nearly midnight! I called Damon's and left a message and then waited until they opened the next day, however since it was the Fourth of July they were closed for the day! Major panic set in since I had to head home later that day! I private messaged Damon's on their FB page. About 30 minutes later the manager (Kristin) responded and called me. She said she was leaving home soon to go to a picnic but she would stop by the restaurant and check. Well an hour later,she called me and said she found my keys and would even take them to my hotel and give them to the front desk clerk!!! Kristin went above and beyond and I'm forever grateful esp since I don't have to tell my hubby about what I did! Lol Thanks again! read more

Was pleasantly shocked at how good our food was. I had a prime rib/rib combo. The steak was absolutely fabulous. My wife said her Cobb salad was maybe the best she'd eaten, and she is a salad expert. Made reservations for dinner for a party of 6 adults on 3/31/2018 Saturday. It was my son and his girlfriend 's Birthday and I had asked to sing to both and give them a special dessert and put on my bill, that didn't happen , they sang to the wrong person! Our waitress was not friendly, nor was she attentive to our table, couldn't get our drinks with our meal! We ordered the appetizer sampler tray which was good , however, it was given after our dinner salads, who does that, service was ass backwards! She told us several times her age , 46, wow! This waitress could not take our order starting with the women and then the men because she said I must go clockwise starting with the corner front end! This was the worst service ever and since the filet mignon was burned on outside bloody inside and prime rib was mostly fat we will never return to this Damon's ! Just an awful experience which should've been a pleasant time with my family and was not! One positive thing I can say is that the baby back ribs were fairly good but not enough to bring us back! The service not the best. The girl getting our drinks was trying very hard. I wish I could of given her the tip instead of the waitress. The tall, skinny, old waitress must be related to the management, because she was a terrible waitress, and might have mental problems. We sit down and stare at each other for ten minutes before the waitress finally comes. She finally shows up and tells us that she was watching tv in the back... There was a table of guys that came in after us. She was much more interested in them and was still being weird. She did not bring our food or fill our drinks. At the end she was pressuring us to give her a compliment even though she did not deserve one. "What was wrong?? Was the service bad??" she said in a moderately loud voice. No tact, no professionalism. Do you really want me to answer honestly and embarrass you in front of everybody? The food was ok. Went here for lunch ordered French onion soup an a full rack of ribs. Waitress was nice soup was there pretty quickly ribs however took awhile when they did get there they were burnt and dry. My friend that was with me also had the ribs , his were the same. The soup was fantastic, ribs not good at all. I took my ribs home for my teenage son he will eat anything, my friend however did not. We weren't sure about coming here because of the mixed reviews but the people at our hotel said it was good so we tried it. The result is the best meal we have had on this trip! The service was very good from the moment we walked through the door polite respectful quick to assist and very friendly. The food was for the most part excellent. I had the pot roast which was perfectly seasoned. Tender and juicy. The prime rib ordered by Stacy was amazing, perfectly cooked tender and juicy. The only thing that keeps this from being a five star is the sides. I had the garden rice Stacy had the mashed garlic redskin potatoes and even though they were good they didn't stand out like the rest of the meal. We will definitely b back here in the future to try other menu items, I hear the ribs are extremely good. I even like the waitresses outfits in keeping with the sports bar theme. ZERO stars. Saddled up to the bar to be greeted by an extremely gruff bartender (Kristen). Very disinterested in customer service. Had time to clean up glasses from empty seats before taking our order then had time to clean up a few more empty seats before pouring our beer! Appeared to be she was punishing us for my husband giving her a tap number for the IPA instead of the name which he couldn't read. That was a poor choice for her as instead of waiting we got up and left. Applebee's right down the road much friendlier and customer service oriented. In Hazleton for business staying at the Hampton Inn, needed a place for dinner and decided on Damon's, started with Half order of potato skins, they were more like potato wedges, generously covered with real bacon. They were good but could have been better, I then had the atomic burger, the server suggested the jalapeño mayo on the side, great suggestion, if you like your food with a kick this is the burger for you, make sure you have a cold beer with it, it's spicy and hot, I really enjoyed my burger. Asked for medium and that was the way it was delivered. Friendly server with a great tip. Sports bar atmosphere with plenty of TVs. read more

Really pricey for a Hazleton area restaurant, and really pricey for any sports bar. My draft beer was $8.25! Our meal: 1/2 rack ribs, chicken quesadilla, kids chicken fingers, 2 beers and a lemonade, was $55! Sorry, but not at all worth it. Food wasn't terrible. Standard chain sports bar eats. Our server had no clue. She didn't know what beers were on draft (I asked if they had anything besides what was on the draft list on the table and she said NO, which wasn't true.) She didn't know if they had a spicy BBQ sauce. She didn't warn me that by not getting the kids'cup of lemonade for my 5yo, that we'd get a huge (at least 20 oz) cup of (from mix) lemonade that cost nearly $3. My ribs (1/2 rack) came in two pieces which was suspect. They were ok, but were likely reheated. Fries were soggy and needed salt. The caesar side salad was decent, but the parmesan cheese and croutons were on the bottom which was strange. The quesadilla was a decent size, but was very skimpy on the chicken. The fringes of the dining area were cluttered with outdoor umbrellas, chairs, signage, etc. The tables had holes in the middle where something perhaps used to be mounted to the table.
