Today, I stopped into Dan Deutsch Optical Outlook to have a pair of glass adjusted. Now, I've been going to this location for decades. I have never once in my entire life had anything but amazing service, polite people, smile's and results. It could be years since I've bought something there, yet if I walk in, anyone working there, will happily fix, adjust, take care of, give me a free case, you name it, whatever I need without so much as a question. When I have bought glasses there, or had work done that needed to be paid for, the work itself was exemplary, on time plus, they would call me with updates. I truly cannot recommend a better place to shop. In a society that seems to have lost it's grip on customer service Dan Deutsch optical outlook keeps it as a number one priority. Aside from the amazing salespeople, you can usually find the owner, Dan, there as well. Ready to help or just get into a friendly convo. I can't recommend or express more how much I love this place. We had a not-so-great experience here yesterday, Friday, September 29th. The only positive was the guy behind the counter, he was friendly and accommodating, for that I'll give 2 stars. I brought my Mom in to find some frames for regular glasses and sunglasses - she had a prescription and was ready to be fitted and make a purchase. As we looked around I noticed that everything was sort of dirty/dusty and there was a very small, disappointing selection of glasses - really not up to par with what I was expecting from a Studio City Dan Deutsch store. We also had to deal with not just one, but two kooky customers who came in after us. One woman trying to get a free pair of sunglasses because hers were broken. She was so bizarre, loud and demanding that she sucked up all the store employee's time, and we were left in the dust. Then some man came in during this production, walked up very close to me, and in my face said "Oh SORRY." I felt like we were on Venice Beach Boardwalk, which is fine if that's what you're expecting. We were so uncomfortable that we left, never to return. read more

I went to Dan Deutsch today with my daughter who needed her new glasses adjusted. Dan was there and took incredible care of us. He adjusted BOTH of my daughters glasses for us and then asked me if he could adjust mine (which really needed it and I didn't even think to ask). He was SO patient w/my daughter and beyond kind to do all 3 pairs of glasses for us on the spot. Tami who was also there was showing me around looking at other frames that could work for myself and for my daughter even when she gets a bit older. Thank you both Dan & Tami for taking such great care of us today. We WILL be back and I would recommend anyone to go here. Truly incredible service!!! read more

Rude! I was looking to spend over 1k on Chrome Hearts shades. I called and got a woman named Renee on the phone. She was very condescending. Once I was in the store she didn't give me the time of day most likely because I was dressed down in shorts and sandals. She was again pretty rude and was stacking the better dressed customers. I decided to go back in the next day (I live close) and got a man that day (weird name, I can't remember). Well guess what... SAME pompous treatment! I proceeded to leave and drove to Optical Shop of Aspen and received the opposite. Super nice staff!!! Great selection as well (better than Dan D.) So long story short, I dropped over 2k that day in Optical of Aspen on two pairs and also got a way better price then was quoted at Dan D as well. Thanks for walking me Renee! It all worked out I guess... Stay clear of this place unless you want to be treated poorly and want to pay full price on glasses! read more

I had a really wonderful experience with this company. It was absolute serendipity that I came across their business in search for a new pair of eye glasses. I was treated kindly (even as a young adult) and was exposed to the most beautiful frames I had ever seen. The staff really know their line of work, and they preform to your needs. I thought I knew what I wanted but when I saw what was out there, I was really blown away. I went first to the store in Studio City and picked out a frame that was originally stunning sunglasses but wore me more than I could wear them once they became glasses. Without any hesitation, Anna (the lady that was helping me) told me I could exchange them without a problem, and even suggested I try them out for a couple days. Anyways, I picked out new frames and they got them to me in the next couple of days just in time for me to move away for college! It was a really great experience, and honestly unprecedented customer service. I actually even met Danny (the owner) a couple times too and he is a really wonderful man.
