I honestly cannot believe this is how WM. Henderson treats customers who have done everything…read moreright. WM. Henderson installed my HVAC system. It is still under their warranty. I also purchased and paid for their service agreement, which promises service within 24 hours. Today, their technician confirmed my HVAC system is leaking. That leak isn't just an inconvenience, it is actively causing water damage inside my home. Water is leaking into my bedroom, there is now a hole forming in my bedroom ceiling, and every hour that passes increases the damage. On top of that, I have no air conditioning. I immediately called WM. Henderson expecting them to honor the service agreement I paid for. Instead, I was told the earliest they could come is Sunday. Today is Friday. When I explained that my ceiling is being damaged and the leak is ongoing, the response was essentially that nothing could be done. There was no urgency. No empathy. No effort to escalate. No concern that my home is continuing to sustain damage while I wait. So what exactly did I pay for? A warranty that isn't honored when it matters? A 24-hour service agreement that apparently doesn't apply during an actual emergency? Customer service that shows no concern while a customer's home is being damaged? Every hour they delay increases the cost of repairs--not just to the HVAC system, but to my home. To the CEO of WM. Henderson: Is this really the standard you want your company known for? Is this how you expect loyal customers to be treated after they've trusted your company with thousands of dollars and paid extra for a service agreement that promises timely emergency response? I'm asking you to do what your company promised: honor the service agreement, stand behind your installation, and stop the damage to my home before it gets worse. Right now, I'm watching my ceiling deteriorate while your company tells me to wait another two days. Homeowners deserve better.

SK came out and did a seasonal checkup on our AC. We're new to the home and area and found SK…read morethrough Yelp. They were on time, checked out the AC, added coolant and then took a quick peek at the furnace. They said both look good for the age (17 years) and should be good for a while. I had questions about rebates for heat pumps and he had answers about rebates, rough costs and advantages of the new heat pumps. He reiterated that we didn't need to change out our current equipment but if we feel it's important for environmental reasons there are good options. We'll definitely be using them going forward, and have a fall furnace checkup scheduled.

Last cooling season he…read moresaid the outside unit was near the end of its life, the unit was in the house when purchased. It''s a rental when it dies, we'll replace it. On the first cold day this winter he claims the heater is all rusted out in the exchanger and has to be replaced, along with the entire system because a new heater can't work with an old air conditioner. Our neighbor suggested we call their guy. He's been in business for 30 years. Needless to say, the heater was not rusted he showed me the unit was very dirty, the fan motor and wheel were clogged with dirt and there were two dead birds in the chimney. The outside air conditioner was only 10 years old. I'm convinced SK had never done anything other than collect their fee and try to sell stuff we didn't want or need.

My wife and I bought a house in Havertown, PA while living in California. My local parents…read moreinformed me that the A/C was not working. My wife and I engaged with Borden as the unit is a Bosch and not all A/C companies service the brand. My wife gave the receptionist her credit card number and asked her to fix any issues and/or perform routine maintenance. She made this request because we did not trust my parents that the A/C was not working (user error more likely). We did not hear from Borden on the day of scheduled service. The next day my wife told me her credit card was billed $1200. Via text or email, the technician explained that my parents were using the wrong thermostat. The technician proceeded to place a float safety at the secondary drain pan and also recommended adding another return to the unit. He charged 300 dollars an hour for labor. His half hour drive was also billed at 300 dollars an hour. Let me be very clear. There was nothing wrong with the unit. My parents did not see a second thermostat. The technician then did 1200 dollars of work without consulting us. A float switch installation should not take 2 and a half hours by an expert. Three hundred dollars an hour is an expert wage. To top it off, a week or so later, our painter informed us the A/C was not working. My wife found a different company. That technician found that the float safety valve turned the unit off. The drain pan was full (good job Borden). When he purged the drain line, he found expected sludge and also PVC shavings and glue. So... Borden did a good job installing a float valve, but the shoddy workmanship contributed to a blockage. The new company charged $150 to clear the line. If I could give Borden zero stars, I would. I don't begrudge anyone trying to making a buck, but I certainly will never do business with them again.

We were very fortunate to have our heating system break down, but able to be maintained heavily…read morewhile we shopped around with time on our side for a new system. We got 4 estimates in total. In all honesty, the prices were not super far off - the recommendations, or lack of were the biggest variable between all of our proposals. This is kind of long, but like others have mentioned, the experience was so good that I wanted to make sure to take the time to give this feedback. 1. Borden was the only one who recommended a chimney liner in our new system. Which is important in the newer 84% because the temps are not as high as they used to be. But even more important in the 90% model where the water heater would be an orphaned appliance. Which is actually a pretty serious safety concern. 2. Borden was also the only one who recommended a new expansion tank and offered to cut back to the steel one if we wanted to shave a little off of the price. A number of places i looked said that the amount of new installs they see using an older tank is mind boggling. And there are numerous benefits to the new style including eliminating air, rather than just controlling it. 3. Borden was the only one to add more options ala carte, especially the outdoor reset option. I really appreciate the flexibility your proposal offers. 4. Borden was the only one who actually opened the boiler to make sure they saw it was leaking etc. Everyone else heard "new boiler", saw dollar signs and that was about it. 5. Borden was also the only owner to come out! Which i think is extra important when it's one of these big jobs where you are not only trying to get the customer set up with a good system, but start a relationship for service and maintainability in the future. Mission Accomplished. Finally, they took tons of time with me explaining how each component would be installed, and a very thoughtful and insightful explanation into why you recommend those pieces. Not at all in a pushy sales way. I'm really excited about our new system and it just so happens today is the coldest day of the year and we have invaluable peace of mind! It also looks like a work of art - the company absolutely takes pride in their craft and it shows.

I got a call from the plumber stating it would be $485 for the job. I told them to forget it, then he started to lower his price. No thanks! I am not dealing with someone that could not give me his best price up front. Here is the kicker, a day later the tenant tells me that she finally figured out how to use the jam wrench and the disposal is working just fine! A good plumber would have unjammed the unit and called to say that it is fixed and the cost is just the cost of the service call.

Moving forward they also recommended a preventive maintenance service to keep the new compressor and other parts of the unit healthy and running strong. I can't speak for their AC and heating (yet!), but for refrigeration needs in the Delco area they are reliable and responsive. Thanks again guys!
