They are all super nice, Dr. Manchester and his wife Barbara the dental hygienist are by far best in customer satisfaction in dentistry field. Very professional and attentive to details, they will tell you what is wrong with your teeth and its surrounding in general and what needs to be done. They take pretty much every insurance. I wanted to post a review after I had been to several appointments and gotten a procedure. Let me start by saying that I am a first gen. Born in America. I did not have/had very limited access to healthcare. I also just moved across the country and had no medical records to forward to them. When I called in, I was super embarrassed because it had been several years since I went to the dentist (I could've gone more because of my fear of needles). They did a great job of welcoming me and understanding that I now am taking steps for better dental hygiene. My first appointment was a consultation and scans of my teeth. Dr. Manchester was nice and very informative. He answered every question I had confidently and also gave me options for numbing during fillings since I have a fear of needles. The next week, I had a fun Cleaning with their hygienist. (Let me just add that they text to confirm appointments and they call you for any sooner openings they have, talk about great customer service!) Yesterday, I had an appointment for a filling. They asked me how I was doing and feeling about needles and when I expressed I was in a good head space, we got to working! Dr. Manchester took great care of me and checked in regularly to see if I was doing alright. I want to thank everyone in this office for making me feel like I was in a safe space and comfortable enough to let people jab things in my mouth :-) I will always highly recommend Dr Manchester's office because of how they took me in, gave me an honest consultation of my teeth, and took special care of me during my filling! read more

Comprehensive dental care is what this office is all about! Dr Manchester gives the kind of exam we wish all dentists would give. He takes all the time necessary for you, getting your dental history and really, really listens to you. He then reviews all of his findings with you along with answering all your questions. He will customize your dental treatment with a combination of his recommendations for you and your input as to what you are comfortable with. Amazing amount of attention in this day and age of overbooked practices! Barbara, the hygienist, and also his wife, gave me a very thorough yet pain-free cleaning and she was so personable that I felt my nervousness leave me almost immediately! Best cleaning EVER! I then had a minor procedure performed by Dr Manchester where I had to be numbed up. Let me tell you... I've had a lot of dentistry performed on me ever since I was a child. Needless to say, my past treatment wasn't all pleasant. Ok, I'll admit it, I'm a coward! Dr M numbed me up with no pain! Seriously, no pain. The treatment was done before I knew it and the numbness wore off pretty quickly too. All in all, the dental treatment I have received here has been exemplary. My review is based on my experience on the phone yesterday with Barbara. Background: I called around town to find a dentist's office that was familiar with my medical condition. Most answered that they were sure the Dr knew about it but didn't clarify. I know from experience that this means they likely don't. When I called this office, Barbara told me that she had seen an article but hasn't read up on it yet. She found the article, read it with the dentist (her husband), and when I called back she asked me questions for understanding and inquired about my primary care physician information so that their office can work together with the rest of my medical providers. She was willing to hear me out about my past experiences and although many offices told me that they don't drill until a person is properly numbed, when Barbara told me, it was genuine. Some of the other places in town seemed like they were pushing to get me in and they'd possibly learn about my needs later (if at all) but Dr Manchester's office was the only one to take me seriously, research my condition, and then tell me if they felt they could help me. Dr. Manchester and his staff are the definition of outstanding oral health service! The office staff are all very helpful and friendly. Dr. Manchester takes his time with you as a patient and makes sure you understand everything he is explaining. This office is one of the few in Lompoc that I have observed move up in the world of dental technology and it gives a good feeling to know they are up to date with their equipment. It's a small office full of kindness. This literal mom and pop shop's customer service is through the roof. They cater to cowards, so if you happen to be one, you're in good hands here. They truly care about their patients. Dana Manchester is constantly educating himself, going to classes and conventions to learn and grow within his field. Dr. Manchester is by far the most thorough and meticulous dentist I've ever been to. As a new patient looking for a cleaning, I was also set up for an evaluation, both of which were covered under my insurance. My hygienist, Jackie, was very friendly and personable. She was quick and not painful at all. During my evaluation appointment I spent 1-1.5hrs with Dr. Manchester who completed a thorough health evaluation along with a complete history of my oral history and evaluation of my mouth including measuring every nook and cranny of my mouth. He even measured my gum recession and evaluated all of the glands and tissues in and around my mouth. I've never had a dentist look into these things before! He took pictures of my mouth, which he reviewed with me in another session where he addressed any other concerns or other findings he came across when reviewing my history, measurements, and photos. Dr. Manchester is also incredibly honest, out to do what is best for his patients. He felt that I would benefit from a mouth guard, but due to my only having 1 month left in the area, he declined to make it for me because he felt he would not be able to have enough time to make the necessary adjustments and an overall guard that he was proud of. I feel that any other dentist out to make a buck would have just pushed me into buying a guard no matter my timeframe. He even offered to recommend other dentists in the country with similar training as himself for when I did decide to purchase a mouth guard. I truly appreciated every aspect of this office. I highly recommend Dr. Manchester to anyone looking for a dentist in the area. I am considering coming all the way back to CA from out of state just to see him once a year! read more
