Dr. Heath has always been super nice to me, it's the office staff that creates issues. They won't call you back when there's an issue with insurance. Went round and round with no one actually giving me information on how to rectify. Finally their office reimbursed me but minus $100. And of course, no return call. What the...? read more

Clean facility. The staff are polite and take that extra step to make you feel comfortable. The dental hygienists have a good rapport with you and make you feel less apprehensive in getting your teeth cleaned. The dentists themselves are approachable and very knowledgeable. The dentists are very good with children and they my children's experience there a good one. read more

I would not recommend Doctor Heath to anyone. I had an awful experience, he was rude. I was very pregnant and struggling with gum issues and he told me to put duct tape over my mouth very smart like. Honestly, the place is janky too. There's no privacy. 0/10 don't recommend. read more

Always booked way out for a cleaning even simple dentistry work such as getting a cavity filled , missed a appointment have a lot going on in personal life and got charged $50 for not showing up. Needless to say my family and friends will not be going there and this was the dentists decision to charge me $50 read more

This is not a review on the dentists or hygienists. This review is on the front office staff and the apparent lack of office procedural rigor. New to the area I made an appointment so I could discuss completing a procedure started in another state. I provided my insurance information, previous dentist contact information, and a clear explanation of my requirement. When I arrived to my appointment it became apparent that noone from the office called my previous dentist for information, x-rays, charts, nothing not even the insurance company. The dentist examined my situation and said he needed more information from my previous dentist before he could complete the procedure. I told him his staff should have the info as I provided everything necessary weeks in advance of the appointment. Of course, noone from his staff could find anything including evidence of any attempt to contact my old dentist. The dentist told me someone would be in contact with me. Weeks later I find my FSA charged an office visit and there's been absolutely no follow-up from the dentist/staff. Incompetence from the folks who handle insurance and patient files is unacceptable. You can bet I'm taking my businesses elsewhere. read more

We moved to the Santa Ynez Valley in 1990. We went to four dentists before finding one we really trust. We've been going to Dr Doug ever since. We seldom have any dental issues, but as life has it, we do need routine cleanings and do get cavities. When we do need a filling or crown, Dr Doug always explains options and provides professional solutions. The support crew and staff are great. read more

Dr. Heath's office is amazing. He sees myself and my 3 children including my ASD child. Before my sons first appointment I warned them he is autistic and would more than likely put up a fight. They didn't mind and even had a video he could watch to visual explain what would go on. Dr. Heath and everyone working in the office has always been so patient and caring with my children. He takes his time and explains each process before starting to ensure they are comfortable. I would never trust my family to anyone other than Dr. Heath. I highly recommend this office to anyone in the area and especially those families with a special needs member. read more

We are new to the area, my husband is deployed, and I have a toddler. The reason I chose this dentist is because he is located near Vandenberg AFB. Dr heath ran 20 minutes behind for my first appointment. He cleaned my teeth and he seemed pleasant. I ordered three trays which took the dental assistant a long time to mold and fit the trays. I've spent $300 so far for two trays. I was told my trays would take one week to complete. It actually took three, and that was because I called them to check the status. I was told schedule another appointment to pick up my trays and check the fit. I was informed it would only take 10 min. I scheduled the appointment. The day of my appointment(Thursday) I called 25 min past my appointment because I was running my little one around. Unfortunately Dr Heath is unable to accommodate a 10 min appointment for the rest of the day. In addition the office is closed Fri, Sat, Sun. Generally none of these things would bother me if I wasn't leaving town on Sunday. I've spent a decent amount of money and my trays are at least two weeks late. I think a ten min appointment could have been scheduled under the circumstances. It looks like I will not be whitening my teeth or wearing a night guard until next month. read more
