The building is really nice. Tvs under the exam seats and in the lobby. Toys and books for kids to read while they wait. Everything looked well kept and clean. The dental assistant that handled my child was beyond perfect with her. My daughter did very well in the environment and it was because of the calm and caring demeanor of the person who took her X-rays and did her cleaning. It came time to meet Dr. Tam. He was very direct, monotone, and didn't have the the child friendly demeanor I had expected and hoped for. He tried to connect with my child but it like he was going through the motions (or at least that was my perception which could be wrong). It could have been that they were busy and he just didn't feel like he had time to try but I left the interaction feeling indifferent. He was informative and got a plan in place for us to move forward with. Overall this place is worth checking out at the very least. I'm glad I checked it out and I loved how they give the kid a toy out of a dispenser when you leave. It's a very nice touch and now my kid will be excited to go back

I've had emails to confirm my appt, to then be told in office I never confirmed and was cancelled on. I left several voicemails and was never called back. The staff was not kind in trying to resolve or figure out where the miscommunications where happening or to try and resolve. I was moved to a new dentist added to the practice without my knowledge or consent and also had multiple issues with billing for preventative appts. It became so much of a hassle to even continue to be there. Never had experienced this with any other Dr or Dental office.

I decided to call Goodland Children's Dentistry and they quickly set up an appointment for my daughter. The office is nice and staff is wonderful to work with. My daughter is always nervous when she's in new environments and being at the dentist and around all the tools made her really anxious. Dr. Trahan and her assistant Nancy went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable. Now, my daughter gets excited when we talk about going back to the dentist. Because of this, the new replacement did not fit and she drilled on the new on in order to try and make it fit. I have had to have a new dentist fix 3 crowns that she did for me. She also was very offended when I asked her to stop sharing her personal life with me and just focus on my teeth. This was by far the most unprofessional dentist I have ever seen. I would not recommend her due to my experience. I hope this review helps others.

A couple people referred me to this office and although I was concerned when they said they're only in Santa Ynez on Mondays, they were able to get us in right away. She was very thorough, and patient and really went out of her way to make sure I understood the positives and negatives with either course of treatment. I should note that my son's situation with his (upper front) teeth is kind of ugly with them having broken in a place that makes treatment more complicated than most and even considering this I felt so relieved that he would be treated by Dr. Rochon and her staff. I haven't met Dr. Ruby but have heard wonderful things about him as well. NOTE: Initially, I called another local dentist listed on Yelp as pediatric and although they are a family practice, they are not a pediatric specialist so if my son needed extraction or the like they would have referred me out (most likely to Drs Ruby and Rochon.)
