To make sure we weren't getting scammed, we contacted Alicia Air for a second opinion. They sent out a tech within 2 hours of us contacting them on Angie's List. Paul Lebarton came out and evaluated the system, giving us the same assessment as the first company. He was honest and straightforward, and very knowledgeable. He provided several different options for replacement, but I didn't feel like he was making a hard sales pitch. The price was actually higher than our other quote, but we attributed that to the more expensive brand (Carrier, vs. Goodman). We ultimately decided to go with Alicia for a full system replacement (the attic unit was 25 years old, so we decided to replace that too.) We paid our deposit on a Wednesday. We heard back from them the following Monday, and they scheduled the install for Wednesday. One week from deposit to install, in the hottest part of August. Pretty awesome. The other company quoted 4-6 weeks. They showed up right on time, and did the full install in a single day. Everything was done at very high quality, and they left the house spotless afterwards. The installers (Paul again + Roberto) were polite, thorough, and provided great service. Couldn't be happier with the result.

He was very helpful, explaining what was wrong and giving me plenty of information about the proposed repair. When I agreed he returned in a few days and completed the major repair efficiently and competently. I have had experience with other A/C service in the past, some good some not so good. Brian from Easy Air responded right away. He asked for pictures and after I sent them over, he knew exactly what the issue was. Brian asked me to call him and right away Brian started assisting me over the phone on how to fix the error message on my thermostat. Within minutes, both thermostats were fixed over the phone and we were able to sleep that night. Brian did not charge me for the time he spent on the phone guiding me, for which I'm so grateful. Fast forward to today, I scheduled a time for Brian to come check out our system since the air was not cool enough. He arrived promptly at 8am and was courteous enough to not ring the doorbell in case people were asleep. He came and looked at our HVAC system, diagnosed our issue, and gave us a fair price. Again he did not charge us for the assessment and diagnosis because he knew what we had been through was a lot (mold remediation). I can't say enough good things about Brian, his work ethic, and his character! There needs to be more people like Brian in the construction industry!

Tony and Ramon serviced my home and did a fantastic job vacuuming over 50 years of dust as well as sanitizing my air ducts. They explained to me step by step what they would be doing and showed me pictures and videos of my air ducts while they were cleaning them. I would also like to point out that Tony was also able to detect a gas leak in my basement that neither I nor my Kidde gas alarms had detected. I am very thankful that he did as gas leaks are silent killer. He gave me the necessary advice to call the gas company in order to have it checked out, and unfortunately I did have a gas leak. Extremely disappointed with NexGen's protection plan…read more I paid for this membership for over two years because it included things I actually used -- my annual tankless water heater flush, A/C check, and replacement A/C filters. Now, apparently, those benefits have changed. Filters are no longer included and the water heater flush costs extra. What really makes me angry is that I do not recall NexGen ever notifying me that the benefits I was paying for had changed. They even called ME to schedule my annual water heater flush through my membership, only for me to find out afterward that I would now have to pay extra for it. So what exactly am I paying for? To make matters worse, nearly every service visit seemed to come with a new list of recommended repairs or upgrades costing anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. At a certain point, it becomes very difficult not to feel like the membership is more useful as an opportunity to sell you additional work than as an actual maintenance plan. If NexGen had simply been upfront and notified customers that the plan was changing, I could have decided whether it was still worth paying for. Instead, I continued paying for a membership based on benefits I had received for years, only to discover they were no longer included. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not recommend this protection plan. Save your money and get everything they claim is included in writing before signing up.

The work was done quickly and professionally. My dryer vent hose was torn and I was offered the option of a repair or a new hose at low and high cost respectively. I went for the new hose (do it right, do it once IMO) and that was taken care of no problem. I recommend Dr. Air Duct highly for regular service of your dryer vent.
