I brought my daughter in last week for a big chop and Tawny knocked it out of the park. She loves her new look and we couldn't have asked for a better cut. I stopped by a different shop today (for proximity reasons) and they jacked up my beard and my fade. I was pissed. Gomez took me as a walk in and fit me into his schedule. He fixed both my beard and my fade and I was able to make my meeting on time. The shop is always clean, the music and the vibe is welcoming. I came out of there fully relaxed and fully bald, with a beard that was more "competent adult man" and less "lived in the forest alone for a decade". You remember how your grandfather had a Study? A special room just for him and your dad? It was quiet, smelled nice, and was very definitely a place kids were not allowed to go? Well this is the barbershop that caters to that style. It's small. It's quiet and understated. The waiting chairs are comfortable leather, not special plastic backwards-leg things that the latest yoga magazines rave about. They won't give you a complimentary boba tea or latte, they WILL offer you a cold beer or water, or a slug of good tequila or whiskey. They don't play pop music or the next great hit. They don't play any music at all. Just the snip of scissors, the buzz of clippers, and quiet conversation. It's supremely relaxing. The one thing it needed to be perfection itself is a friendly shop dog to greet customers and get head scritches while your barber does his exemplary work (and it is exemplary), but even without that, this is THE place to get your hair and beard taken care of. This is a BARBER shop, not a stylist parlor. I highly recommend it. Things to note: I was a walk-in, but was lucky enough to come in when there was an open spot. If you pass it often, no problem, but if you're making a special trip, get an appointment. They don't take credit, only cash or payment app (Zelle, etc.). Ask them to get a shop dog when you go in!

The outside doesn't look like much, but the Inside brought me back to the days when I was a child. The inside is stuck in a Time warp kind of like back to the future. There are old original signs, depicting men with flat tops on shelves all around the inside there are model, cars, and photos of all time barbers. "Yeah man this is my kind of place" the owner Christine usually only cuts hair by appointments, but she was nice enough to let me in. Christine is super nice, carries on great conversations, and is tentative to how you want your haircut . I felt she did a good job cutting my hair. I will most definitely be back and become a regular customer.

My hair was very long and I just wanted little curtain bangs. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. I left with no bangs but worse. She had cut my hair so deeply it looked like I had a bob when I put the front pieces forward. No blending from front to back. Very short in the front, long in the back. I was devastated by the utter lack of care. I think had she apologized right then and there I would have accepted the apology. But she acted as if she gave me the service I requested. During the cut, she did not acknowledge the other woman who works with her who told her to blend out what she had cut while she was giving me the haircut. Even though I do not speak the language I understood what she was saying to her. The whole experience was very strange especially considering we had a lot of trust built over the years. I always tipped, I am absolutely certain I treated her with the utmost respect, so this experience was shocking. I ended up having to go somewhere else to have the haircut blended, in the end I had to cut a significant amount of hair to blend out what had been done to my hair. Sorry to say, but I was blindsided and do not recommend Tina's services.
