Only 4 stars due to I am never happy with there drinks :(. Watterss is always friendly and accommodating. I had Taco salad. Made the way I asked and loved the shell. As a Dana myself, I was all for trying this place out, especially after the place we had intended on checking out for lunch was closed for the month. Very friendly and prompt service, even though the bartender was the only waiter. Food came out quickly, and it was DELICIOUS. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. :-) They also had the salad bar going including meatloaf and mashed potatoes and tortilla soup. I probably would have gone for this, but once I spotted the beer and cheddar soup I needed to try it. Even though there are tons of options in the area for good food, we stopped back for dinner before leaving town. :-) Awesome place. read more

Extremely rude. The food was good but I will not be going back due to the service. Sean was blatantly disrespectful, stating "My name is Sean not hey" to me after I politely asked "Hey, excuse me, can I please have a rum and coke?" I couldn't hear his question and he had an extreme attitude when repeating "Single or double?" It is also worth noting that it was a very busy day and I was the only person of color. Stop by here quick for lunch. I'm in Geneva only once in a while, so I'm not sure of all the other local spots. I was given a table that was in a quiet place, which I needed due to a conference call. Just got back from Dana's Time Out. Which by the way is a weird name. In fact, the place is pretty weird all around. On one side you have the bar, which looks like a dive bar, on the other side you have this very nice, almost upscale looking restaurant with tons of TV's. It's the perfect place for a schizophrenic. So we get seated right away, there wasn't too many people here, and immediately get our drinks. The draft selection, like everywhere else in this town is very skimpy. Perhaps my standards are way too high, since I am from Colorado, but if I feel that that bars (especial sports bars) should have a lot of different microbrews on tap. Perhaps we're just a better class of drunks out in CO, just kiddin, Kind of... So we ordered the Spinach & Artichoke dip appetizer which was good. It came with nachos (I really wish someplace would serve that dip with bread, it tastes better with bread than nachos). Anyways, it came out very fast which was nice. Then I got the roast beef sandwich while the gf went with her normal French Dip sandwich. The Roast Beef sandwich was ok, perhaps a touch over seasoned, but it was good. Though it probably would have been better on a hoagie, instead it came out on a bun which made it much more messy. The french dip was good, though nothing spectacular. The gf had steak fries as her side, and I had the sweet potato fries, which I thought were much better than the steak fries, but I'm not a big fan of steak fries to begin with. Overall the best thing about this place was the service and how quick everything came out. I had the flatbread pizza and it was more like a thick pita with lots of spinach cheese dip piled on it - reasonable food, but i dont know if it falls into my pizza category. DTO is a combonation of a dining room with an attached barroom that is much like your typical local watering hole serving basic beer and drinks. This review is about the bar only. Despite the awkward layout of the room, as soon as you sit down at the round bar surrounded by locals and serviced by a friendly bartender you feel very welcomed. This is the kind of place to pop in to, play some Quickdraw, maybe stay for the guitarist on a Friday night, and have a few drinks. We have made it our tradition to take our own time-out here for a much needed shot and a beer after long 6-hour trips from Boston and will continue to do so. read more

We were looking around Geneva for a place that had a good selection of different types of foods, specifically grilled stuff and offered take out. We ended up getting the Montreal Steak Salad and it was extremely tasty. We went with their sesame ginger dressing and it was an excellent combination. We had reservations a month in advance. They overbooked, understaffed. The service was terrible. The waitress was snotty. We waited two hours for our food. Drinks never came to the table. (They tried to charge us for them) Some of the food came out frozen. Asked to talk to the manager and we were told they went out the back door. Again the service was horrible. Spence and I had lunch here April 4. I ordered the patty melt with a side salad and Spencer had the blue cheese bacon burger with an appetizer of fried pickles. Spencer's liked his burger and house made chips but the pickles were another story. The menu states that they are deep fried dill pickle chips. What came out were poorly coated dill pickle spears. We were never informed, until the pickles were delivered, that the owner had stopped serving chips and switched to spears several months ago. My patty melt (which I admittedly ordered "medium-well") was like a meat brick and served with red onions. When ordering the salad, which was a $1.89 upcharge from the standard sides (french fries, chips, etc.) I asked if I could just get it myself from the salad bar and was told "no". The salad bar had a number of nice ingredients that would have made my salad a good choice. Well, after telling me that I could not get my own salad, the waitress went to the salad bar and made my salad there. It consisted of a few pieces of iceberg lettuce a spoon of chopped tomato, and some chopped red onion. I am sure that the ingredients for my salad cost much less than regular sides, so why the upcharge? Spence and I have eaten here several times and each time it seems to get worse. Last time we were here, I ordered the Cobb Salad and it came out with everything just thrown together and, to add insult to injury, the hard boiled egg was just that...a whole hard-boiled egg. Spencer ordered the "Hot Brick" burger and the whole thing fell apart when he picked it up.The sad thing is that the the owner was always there, so she has to be aware of what her kitchen is turning out. My son wanted a milkshake that wasn't on the menu , but they made one for him anyways .I ordered a 12 oz steak it was a special , my wife had a wrap , my son ordered chicken fingers .
