I've tried so many of the food items from brunch and dinner. The biscuits and gravy the first time I tried it was out of this world! Biscuits? Soft and buttery, flaking just right as you cut through it. The gravy? Awesome, a slight spice to it that really brought the dish together with some eggs on top. Today? Maybe a one off, but the gravy seems clumpy and "old" like it was made hours ago and I got some reheated version (mind you I showed up for brunch at noon) and the biscuits were hard and not enjoyable; far cry from the amazing dish I remembered. The dinners? Well, not even on the menu anymore, but the "Dino" ribs were awful, the halibut was over cooked, the steak frites, now those were done really well. My wife has gotten a salmon dish a few times, most recently a salmon omelet and she has loved them all. So, maybe my luck is off. Overall, this is a good place and a most welcome edition to Brighton. I hope they keep the consistency with the food and slow down with how often they change things, maybe get really good at something before you change it all again. Also, the place is utterly beautiful. I do worry about it being kept that way though, the table lamps, those cool new stick lamps you see everywhere, they do need to be charged and I don't think anyone is monitoring that as several times I have seen them dead or red light flashing. And the men's restroom needs soap if people are actually going to wash their hands; just a thought.
