the lift! one of the many crowd pleasers of our dance routine!

One of the best investments we made in preparation for our wedding! My husband wanted to learn a dance routine and "put on a show" for all our guests, so he did all the work to find this place and they were so great! Neither my husband or I are dancers, yet they were able to teach us and were flexible to accommodate our schedule despite the hectic timeframe as we squeezed in 3 two-hour classes in the 10 days leading up to our wedding! :) We did plenty of tripping and stepping on each other's toes and the practice dress, but in the end I think we did pretty ok! Our family and friends were so surprised that we could dance (like I said, we aren't exactly known for having that talent), which goes to show wonderful the instructors at Dance Reverie are! The tempo of the song we chose didn't really go with the dance style we were comfortable with (slow waltz), but our instructor was able to modify it for us and make it work. And my husband wanted to do a lift, despite my fear of falling out of my big poufy dress, hahaha, so they helped us to learn all the right flourishes including a lift that got everyone's attention. It was so incredibly fun, and my husband and I plan on going back for more dance lessons in the future.

YUKA YUKA YUKA YUKA. She is the one to see. Her 7 dance classes made our wedding dance an outstanding success. Her patient and humorous demeanor made us feel very at ease and able to express ourselves through dance. She gave slow step by step instructions. They were also very generous w the payment plan and we never felt pressured by them to take more classes or pay ASAP. We were beyond pleased with YUKA and Dance Reverie and highly recommend this dance studio to everyone!!!!

I have four words for you... KARI IS THE BEST!!!! My husband and I were trying really hard to learn the Rhumba on our own for our first dance at our wedding and we were able to get the basic steps down but obviously we knew we needed a real professionals touch to correct us and show us a trick or two! If you are getting married... and hunting for an amazing dance studio to learn a thing or two... Or even if you just want to have some fun and learn how to REALLY dance... This is DEFINITELY the place to go!!! Reasonable prices, flexible schedule, and Ive only worked with Kari as a private instructor so far but we LOVED her!! She really explained everything and took the time to make sure we would look our best! We actually really look forward to seeing her in the future and now we have so much fun dancing!! No more high school swaying here anymore! The studio isn't huge but its been enough and now crazy intimidating. Its a great space for beginnings to spin around the dance floor without getting overwhelmed and you can have some fun! Its very clean and very well lit!

My husband and I decided to take dance lessons to prepare for our first dance at our wedding! Before our classes, my husband really did not enjoy dancing and now he feels more comfortable on the dance floor! Hanna was so easy to work with! She made us feel comfortable and well prepared for our first dance :) every lesson was enjoyable with her and we learned a lot from her!

I can't believe it has taken me this long to write this review. We found Kari and Dance Reverie in the last 2 months leading up to our wedding knowing we both had limited dance experience and were nervous for our first dance. Kari was awesome in listening to what we wanted and tailoring a beautiful first dance for us that wasn't too complicated but gave us more then swaying. An added bonus working with her was such a fun time to relax and be together leading up to our wedding. I would highly recommend everyone to check out this place, the first lesson is free after all and you can't go wrong!

A dip perfected by Kari for our wedding reception. She transformed my husband into a pro!

We did our wedding dance lessons with Kari at Dance Reverie, and she was simply amazing! Within 5-7 lessons, she is able to teach ballroom dancer beginners an impressive performance to execute. She focuses on small details like helping you customize a position to make it easy for you to execute or helping you get used to doing the routine in heavier clothing (like wedding outfits usually are). Also, Kari was really caring and did everything she could to create our dream wedding dance. We slayed at our reception thanks to her! We highly recommend her and may even take dance lessons with her in the future just as a fun date night activity!

    Last move. The lift!

Kyle is the best!!!!! My husband and I took dance lessons for our first dance 3-weeks before the wedding date. We had ZERO ballroom dance experience. He was a great instructor, so nice, and made us feel very comfortable. He adjusted some moves based on how we were doing and with the date coming up quickly. Kyle taught us some fancy looking moves that involved twirls and lifting that impressed our guests. We got many compliments even weeks after the wedding!! He is very accommodating to our schedule and moved around some times for us as we had to reschedule last minute. On our last lesson he gave us these really good and cute wedding cookies! Which was very thoughtful! I recommended him to all my friends and family! Thanks Kyle for the great experience we will remember forever!

It came so natural being we never practiced the kiss part lol

This time, I took class with Amber, and she is truly a 10 out of 10 -- from her character to her teaching style, choreography, and ability to educate dancers in real time. She doesn't just teach steps; she teaches movement vocabulary and helps you understand how to inhabit the choreography as it unfolds. That presence and clarity make the experience special. A lot of what I enjoy about Sass Class comes down to both the choreographers and the energy of the space. That said, there are some practical considerations. There is no elevator, which can be challenging because of the number of stairs you have to go up and down. The studio itself is small but functional. There's a small waiting area, a check-in desk, two bathrooms, and a spot to quickly change if needed. There are two studios, which allows classes to run smoothly without feeling crowded. The location is central, not far from Moynihan Train Hall or Port Authority, and there are plenty of food options nearby for before or after class. Overall, SASS Class continues to be a space I value. I fully intend to take more classes there in the future. For me, it's about the quality of instruction, the intentionality of the movement, and the community -- and that keeps drawing me back.

It was all of our favorite show we had ever seen. Zero complaints. The theatre is tight and on the third balcony you have to do a lot of body maneuvering throughout the show to see all of the stage. That is typical for the top balcony. My complaint is the three women ushers on that balcony on that date were the worst theatre ushers I have ever seen. They were rude to everyone they spoke with. When patrons would ask them a question, after they walked away they would talk loudly about the patron and mock them while laughing with each other. Where we were sitting we got to hear this over and over. Then the show starts and they keep talking. They talked through the ENTIRE show. After the show, I told them they were literally the rudest ushers I had ever met. I waited two days to make sure I felt strongly enough to make this complaint public. I looked for an email for the palace or Lost Boys management. They should secretly watch these women to see if they continue this bad behavior or if they made a change for the better.

In my opinion, that scene went fast and took away from one of most iconic scene of the movie.

I saw this show many years ago, and I recently got to visit again, this time bringing my family along. I couldn't wait for my kids to see it. It was my son's first Broadway show and he was absolutely mesmerized. I made sure to get Orchestra aisle seats so we could see the animals making their way down to the stage for the Circle of Life and for other parts of the show. We were sitting right where the enormous elephant comes down and it was incredible to see. Speaking of the Circle of Life, it gets me SO emotional every time! I grew up loving The Lion King and this show just does it so much justice. The production value is to die for. The lighting, the scenery, the way they play with perspective. It's just all so amazing. And the singing? And the acting? I can just go on and on. I also love how they added "They Live in You" into this production, along with "Shadowland" and "Endless Night." We received a run down on how the machine works, learned how to thread the machine and how to fill the bobbins. Then we made a denim tote bag. This was super easy and really fast. After lunch break is the 2nd project. If you don't have your fabric, the school can sell you fabric directly inside for $16 a yard. I bought my fabric elsewhere and brought it in. I honestly recommend doing this instead of buying it from them. Because you have to wash your fabric like how you wash your laundry regularly since it shrinks naturally. We picked our patterns and I made a skirt since a skirt is faster than pants. They recommended not to make pockets or else I'll run out of time. But I HAD to add pockets. Women's clothing have little or no pockets regularly. The instructors are extremely helpful and friendly. and they immediately notice if someone is struggling or stuck. This really impressed me. For example, when I was threading the bobbin, the spool of thread was running out. The teacher was immediately behind me with a brand new spool of the same color so I can swap it out when it was finished. That was a great eye for detail! Overall, highly recommend.
