We thought it was a nice place to learn but then the instructor, I forgot her name, probably Linda was punishing my daughter because she couldn't clap and stomp her feet altogether. She kept asking my daughter to repeat the moves over and over while other girls sitting down on the floor and tap my daughter's forehead couple of times. My daughter cried. She was so scared. Then I asked linda what happened she replied oh its ok she needs to practice thats all. Mind you, my daughter was only 4 years old that time. This class supposed to be fun for these kids,not stressful. And we cancelled the class even though we still have 4 more class to attend (we only attended the class 3 times). Because of this lady, my daughter doesn't want to go to any ballet class anymore. She can't forget how Linda treated her.

So we decided to see if we liked the personnel and the atmosphere. We loved the personnel and the dance instructors. They were warm, friendly and fun. Because of their enthusiasm and friendliness we signed up for 15 lessons. They offer a variety of dances, they are patient, and enjoy teaching and they have lots of events and classes throughout the week. We highly recommend the Arthur Murray dance studio in Valencia on Newhall Road! Dancing at this studio with the instructors and owners feels like family!

Unfortunately COVID came into our world just 6 months later. But the studio kept my daughter interested via Zoom classes. In or out of the studio, the loving staff kept her heart interested in dance a wanting more. Months later when she was finally back in the studio she wanted to learn more genres. By the summer of 2021 she wanted to try out for their Competition Team and made it. She has always been treated with love, support and grace by the staff and other dancers. It didn't matter if she was a recreation dancer or on team. They all support each other and cheer each other on. On another note, my daughter's dad is a quadriplegic and utilizes a wheelchair. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everything is accessible in the studio and on location. My daughter has never been bullied or teased. Being the new girl with absolutely no experience when she started and a disabled parent, you might as well put a bullseye on her; but she's always experienced love and acceptance from everyone in the studio and has made the best friends over the past few years. If your child is interested in dance, this is a great place to grow.

Fast forward--I've been coming here for over a year now and I'm so proud to be part of this community. I mostly take Hip-Hop and Heels classes with Yvette and Marina, and they both work incredibly hard to create a welcoming space where people can be creative and grow. Yvette's energy and passion for dance are a huge reason I look forward to coming to class. She brings such a positive vibe paired with her creativity which makes it easy to just let go and dance. Marina has an incredible way of instilling confidence and pushing you to be better while still making the environment feel supportive and fun. I truly think their energy attracts amazing people, because my classmates are some of the best you could ask for. I've never been to a studio where everyone walks in smiling and ready to just dance it off. It's inspiring to watch people experiment with different styles, and I get to learn so much from both my teachers and the other dancers around me. I've grown so much in confidence since starting here. On top of that, the pricing, schedule, and variety of dance and fitness classes the studio offers are honestly unmatched. There was a waitlist so my spot was filled, but I still paid for that class with no refund so I really disagree on a additional punitive fee since the studio not only got my money for my spot, but was instantly able to fill it. Further, I wasn't even notified that I would be charged extra in addition forfeiting my class fee. Due to this policy, I will not return here or recommend this studio to anyone I know.
