Whatever your goal may be, the talented and caring management and staff will work tirelessly to meet and exceed your expectations in every way. My reason for turning to them was to get into shape because I find gyms extremely boring and I stop going after about two weeks. Dance provides high intensity aerobic exercise, strengthens the core and tones muscles like no other form of exercise while being social and extremely enjoyable at the same time. I was going through a very difficult divorce when I first started taking lessons and I often felt extremely stressed out and upset. I can honestly say that I am not sure how I would have pulled through the most difficult time in my life without the love and support that I received from my DWM family. No matter what your troubles may be, as soon as you walk through the doors of this elegantly decorated studio and immerse yourself in the glamorous ballroom atmosphere among the welcoming and truly caring staff all becomes good in the world again. Now my previous stresses are gone and I have emerged pretty unscathed, a lot of which I owe to DWM. Due to the efforts of amazingly talented instructors my dancing has gone from a mere form of exercise (having absolutely no dance experience myself) to the competitive level. I am a cardiac anesthesiologist so needless to say my job is extremely demanding and stressful. Dance provides me with an escape that I believe couldn't be matched by any other activity and I couldn't even imagine life without it anymore. Dance With Me Midtown caters to a vast array of students of any age and ability. The management and instructors are extremely sensitive to the needs of the individual student and always create a comfortable environment for each student to meet their goals and express themselves. When Midtown Opened i was super excited that i can now dance on my lunch hour and after work with more flexibility. The Studio is great with tons of light and space to move around and of course dance! Manager Ilia Vinikovskyy, runs an amazing studio with the help of Maranda Quinones. These two together really are showcasing what Dance With me is all about, and in time they will make Midtown #1 of all DWM studios! My story is a funny one! I was in Hong Kong, when a colleague of mine asked me to go Salsa dancing with him, which was one of the most fun times I ever had. My friend requested that I take up Dancing in the states to help relax the mind and stress, which I have to say it 100%, does! When I got back to the states, I immediately called DWM as I remember hearing about studios that Tony, Maks & Val owned. I called and took my first lesson in November 2013, with the mindset I would be taking one lesson one time a week if that and just Salsa dancing. That is it Salsa ONLY... Let me tell you I don't admit this often I was surely wrong, it turned into an obsession for me. All I wanted to do is dance all the time, from dancing one time a week turned into six to eight lessons a week. I even added in group classes and the parties every week, helping me to improve a lot and making many friends at the same time from these parties. I have been dancing now for 2 years and can HONESTLY say DWM changed my life for the better. I started to see a transformation from the day I walked in with my pour posture sitting at a desk to now standing up straight now. I walk and dance with more elegance and grace then I ever have. I look forward to all the dance events they have from Showcases, Team Match, to Fall Classic & Summer Invitational which are the 2 big competitions they do a year. I now compete in Silver in Smooth and Rhythm, and Silver & Bronze in Latin, as i just started doing Latin 6 months ago. All the experiences I have had is because of Dance with me. When we were planning our wedding, we thought we'd take a few lessons to brush up our moves for our first dance. We bought a few Groupons to various studios, and worked our way around the city. It wasn't until our FOURTH studio that we found the right fit with Rachel Green, social dance teacher extraordinaire. You guys, she's amazing. Rachel blew every other instructor we'd ever met out of the water (and remember, we've taken multiple lessons at four different studios). Her sense of humor puts everyone at ease, and she is infinitely patient with our clumsiness. Not only is she able to teach the intricate steps of every dance we'd ever heard of (and several we hadn't) with clarity, she actively collaborates with other instructors to pick NEW moves for us that she knows that we might like. Because of this, we never feel like we're progressing through a one-size-fits-all program, but instead that we have the combined talent of the whole studio working together to make a program personalized just for us. We feel really lucky to have met Rachel and the whole DWM Midtown team. Probably needless to say, but our "quick brush up" has turned into our regular date night, the best night of the week. read more

I had my intro class over two years ago with instructor, Matic and after looking for some time for a latin/ballroom studio this is the place! A very nice guy and very knowledgable in latin as well as in all of the other styles which is exactly what I was looking for. I was able to compete a couple of times with him at their studio competitions and it is an amazing experience. You feel all the love that is shared for this sport and outstanding energy from the teachers to the students. Throughout my time here you definitely feel like you are part of a family and you meet so many people with different backgrounds and ages which is exciting as well. Being taught by Matic and training with him has improved my dancing a lot, drilling the steps and being mindful of how to do it with technique is what has made me advance and make me more passionate about dancing. During this 7 month experience with DWM Midtown, I discovered that this is a warm and family/team spirit oriented studio. All the staffs and instructors are very friendly and professional. I am a new student at Dance With Me Midtown. I saw the ad on Facebook, and decided to go check it out just for the fun of it after I saw, in the FB video, that some of the students were about my age - young at heart. The moment I walked into the studio I felt the sincere warmth of the staff. I decided to sign up for lessons and Luis and Rachel were assigned to me as my teachers. I cannot recommend this studio enough. I have been treated like family by all the staff, and my two teachers are magical in their teaching. They are true professionals because they make all the dances so easy to learn, and I feel like I'm floating in the air as my steps glide to the rythm of the music. It's simple, these people are obsessed with quality. From the moment you walk in you can tell that this is a place where the management really cares. It looks fancy, but you get treated in an inclusive and non-pretentious way. The quality of instruction is high, while keeping it fun, comfortable, and easy. And yes random celebrities occasionally show up but you won't even bother to notice. They usually have intro specials for new students so just try one of those and see for yourself. read more

I took private lessons and group lessons with Alejandro. I had lots of fun. The studio is beautiful and everyone is welcoming and nice. I only wanted to learn salsa but I became interested in tango, swing, and rumba. Alejandro is very patient and professional. It does not matter how many times I made the same mistake he was always so kind correcting my technique.
