Service has gone from excellent and some times above & beyond to abysmal. They are removing interesting hard to find items with huge stacks of generic ales. They were previously well known for their craft beers and large variety of different stouts, porters and Scotch ales. Not to mention the wine & spirits selection was amazing. I am now much less interested in utilizing their services so much so that even though they are walking distance to my home, I Uber or bus to Shrewsbury or utilize delivery services to get the selection & variety I want.

Honestly, what is he really doing? The bigger problem is what's happening directly outside the storefront--people smoking, drinking, throwing dice, hanging around, and even pissing right next to Yan's Chinese. That kind of stuff makes the area look like nobody cares, and then people see the store as an easy place to steal from or cause problems. That's completely counterproductive. There are plenty of ways to deal with the situation, but having some dude standing inside telling people to walk around him isn't really addressing the problem. If you're serious about security, deal with what's happening around the storefront too. I practically know half the people coming in and out of that place at this point. I know who's outside throwing dice, who's drinking beer from the store, and who's just hanging around. And what's even more confusing is that the store already has multiple camera angles displayed on a giant monitor where they can see what's happening throughout the store. So having a security guard posted right at the front desk constantly announcing to everyday regulars that he's "security" feels less like actual security and more like you're being treated as if you can't be trusted. As someone who comes there regularly, that can honestly feel pretty demeaning and makes me question how much the store actually trusts its own customers.

Like every wild crazy, insanely conjured craft beer that may be known to man. It takes up 2/3 of their store, which I may add is sparkling, shiny and new still after a couple years. Not the largest selection of wine, but what they do have is very nice! Liquor is good and they have some of the lesser seen mixers, aperitifs and such. One plus here - there is a large clean bathroom for customers!! So nice when you must see the boozeman before getting home but you forget to pee before you leave the office!
