I'm a huge BBQ fan but this restaurant falls short food wise. Food: 2/5 - Burnt Ends were not burnt. Not even close. The Two Live Q with Brisket and Sausage was a mess. The Brisket was tough. The sausage was bland. The meats were cut in huge chunks and just tossed on a roll with TONS of sauce. The only way to eat it was to open it and just use a fork. There was no sense of smoked meat. The food was drowning in sauce. It would have been better to have the sauces on the table like the Dang in Islip. The portion size was massive. I would have rather had a smaller portion that was good. Service: 4/5 - Service was good. The restaurant was empty while we were there but it was very attentive. Ambiance 4/5 - Nice layout. Kind of small. Joined with Simplay that has sports and table games in the back. Cleanliness: 4/5 - No issues. Bathrooms were good. Parking: 5/5 - No issue. Big lot. Value: 2/5 - Expensive for what you get. Overall: 2/5 - It's a nice layout but the food sinks the ratings. Dang in Islip is better food wise but the ambiance is better here. It's not bad if you want to come to Simplay and play games and while you're at it, get some food. But if you're visiting for good BBQ there are other options that are better. I won't be back. Recommendation for Establishment: Put sauces on the table. Control portion size and don't smother everything in too much sauce. Plate food better and ensure that if you're serving a sandwich that you can actually eat it. read more

The food was overall just barely okay. I would say overpriced considering my son's "chicken fingers" tasted exactly like his dino nuggets at home. McDonald's has better nuggets than this place. I ordered the burger, and asked for it medium. It was definitely well-done and lacked flavor. I also ordered Mac & Cheese which would make my wife's Kraft Mac and cheese at home look like a meal at Insignia. How does a southern/BBQ style place mess up Mac and Cheese??? My favorite drink at BBQ and southern styled places is the homemade sweet tea. This place's sweet tea tastes like a Snapple. Their sprite tasted like an off brand wannabe. My server was very nice! She was the only reason I didn't speak up about any of the issues while I was there because I didn't want to make her life hard. I also was already aggravated about the food and didn't want to give her an attitude or come off rude cause there was no nice way of saying the food was garbage. The place looks okay, it's small but has a nice bar. I should ordered some shots of 1942 before hand maybe the food would have tasted better had I been drunk. read more

Great place for food when you come here to play games. Located in same building with Simplay so it's easy to grab some food while you enjoying games. I came here just for some dinner. The restaurant looks nice and clean. I experienced the best service I ever had in 5 years in US. Staff is very helpful and offer help me pick out my food and he did give me some thought of himself. I had jumbo sausage with had good flavor but a bit salty for me. The grill potatoes is alright. With my salad, the dressing was a bit too vinegar for me and the staff offered 20% off because of that. Their homemade potato chips is pretty good as well. You should try it one day read more

Ordered takeout pulled pork nachos. They were not in a box like the other Dang BBQ nor was there any sauce on it. There was guacamole which was good but different than the other Dang BBQ as well. The food was good but I do believe they need to switch containers, my nachos were smooshed and softer due to the heat being trapped in the plastic container. I will probably continue going to the other one for nachos even though this is closer. read more

Big disappointment. I was here once before and didn't have problem but this time the baby back ribs weren't cooked enough. Very tough. The beef brisket had no bbq sauce on it it was just smoked beef. Had to ask for bbq sauce. The mac and cheese was great and Cole slaw was a little off. The corn bread seems kinda hard as well. This place is...so weird honestly lol it's massive and disjointed with a "dining room" then a game room, and then some other ballroom? Idk. We came in around 6:00 and besides one other table there was no one in here. Kinda weird for a day when basically everyone has off. But, once you taste the food you kinda understand why. We ordered wings, the Thai chili lime sauce was really good, but the wings were honestly gross. Really fatty and soggy, not crispy at all, and the meat had a weird taste to it. My mom wanted a burger... and they had none. Apparently they ran out! So she settled for a salad. I got the wrangler chicken sandwich which honestly wasn't terrible, but was really lacking in any sort of flavor. I will say the chips it came with were really good. My dad had a wrap with brisket in it, which he said wasn't "terrible" lol. It just looked really dry and bland to me. Nothing but meat and what looked like home fries. I'm sure this place is okay if you work in the area and you want to stop by for a drink and to play some games. I definitely wouldn't recommend going out of your way to come here! Food was terrible unfortunately the shrimp had sort of an old taste to it. The ribs were extremely tough and not sure if they were undercooked or overcooked just not fall off the bone at all. Went here with high hopes in finding a good bbq place. The food was tasteless. I got the chili, shrimp, Mac n cheese and ribs. The chili and shrimp was the best flavorless thing I had. The ribs was hard to tear off the bone, and the Mac n cheese... don't even get me started.
