Highly recommend doing the all-day premium tour. What a great way to spend the day leisurely with easy activities, learning about the history of Key West and the ecology of the mangrove keys. Danger Charters was incredible! Our captain and deck hands were so accommodating and made the entire trip fun and entertaining. During the snorkeling portion of the afternoon we were able to dive next to dolphins and a huge lager head turtle! Incredible! This cruise is worth the pricey cost. We did a sunset sail and then watched the fireworks on the 4th. The captain Brian was super personable and ran an amazing ship. He got us almost close enough to catch the fireworks. His crew was Gannon and Sean. Gannon was running drinks. He has been local his whole life. He clearly loves his island and the culture. He told us funny stories and was just a good guy working hard pouring wine. Like he said- his job doesn't suck. Sean was delivering food. He must have had a staff of elves helping down below. The skewers would come out with fruit/cheese, meat/cheese, desserts... and it kept coming. He and Gannon worked well together and helped each other out. It was such a memorable experience. Brian really runs a great ship. I've done many cruises in many parts of the Caribbean and this one was the best in my opinion. It had cushioned seats and a great crew. I highly recommend using them. They will give a discount for your second cruise if you use them more than once. I'd tell you- next time we are in key west we will try a snorkel trip. I am so thankful for the amazing time my husband and I had together this afternoon/evening. The "Danger" crew is as good as they come. Cody, Nate and Matthew were our guides but they also knew when to leave us alone to snorkel in peace. A shark swam directly under me and I saw more fish than I could count. It was breathtaking. We also kayaked through mangroves, where Cody explained the eco-system to us and showed us jellyfish and horseshoe crabs. The atmosphere was relaxed and exactly what we had hoped to find on Key West. The sailboat was beautiful and the gear was good as well. I live on the ocean myself and I'm pretty picky when it comes to these types of excursions. We had a nice time. The crew was super friendly and attentive. I went on this same charter 5 years ago and it now feels more commercialized than before . I remembered it being smaller, high scale and more intimated. This time was crowded and more comparable to other charters in town. Loved how they were able to sail with last minute wind. The snorkeling location was great also. I think they should limit to 15 people instead of 20 to make it feel like a 5 star trip. read more

Captain Dan & Luke were excellent! We did the premium charter - 6.5 hours long with snorkeling & kayaking - we were even able to go hang out on a sandbar. We snorkeled and saw all kinds of cool reef life - barracudas, a conch, an angelfish and more. The kayaking takes some work & skill but adventuring to the mangrove keys is amazing. We saw several nurse sharks and a lemon shark. The sandbar was cool - we saw a sea turtle! The food was delicious & there was plenty to eat & drink. The trip was awesome and we loved it! Half Day Evening TripCrew - friendly and accommodating Snorkeling - we saw much more on sunset/snorkeling trip with Sunset Watersports. I saw more watching spongebob than I did on this particular trip with Danger. Very disappointed with where they took us. Kayak - you had to paddle a half mile to get to the mangroves and there was not much to see. Food & Drinks - Yuengling, LITE beer, cheap red and white. Food was chips, salsa, hummus, and a fruit tray. None of this was served, presented, or tasted as good as it may sound Sunset - 5 stars. The Captain did make sure we had a great view Passengers - Not too bad, 20 passengers. Overall - not worth the time it took out of our vacation or the money. read more

My husband and I came down to Key West for Columbus Day weekend and went out on the morning sailing, kayaking, snorkeling trip. Everything about the experience was awesome! I booked online with a 15% off promo, which it looked like the have regularly, so it was about $150 for both of us. It was a 4hr trip. The captain, Matthew, and first mate, Logan, were both great and so knowledgeable! I don't think any question went unanswered and you can tell that they really enjoy what they do and are very good at it. We sailed out about 30-45 min from shore to do the kayaking at one of the mangrove islands. Logan took us out and we went all around and even through one of the mangrove forests. It was so cool! There were lots of birds and fish to see. Next up was the snorkeling. We sailed to a different area that was filled with sponges, coral, tons of fish, lobsters, crabs. There was so much to see! The guys really did such a good job with everything. They learned everyone's names and talked to us all like old friends the whole trip. You could tell that these dudes genuinely care about the environment and area. We stopped several times to grab trash out of the ocean, which was obviously something they didn't have to do, but you could tell that they always do it. There were also neat touches like fresh fruit on the boat and drinks (boozy and non) available after we snorkeled. They told us if/when we come back we get a discount for being a repeat customer and you also get 15% off everything in the gift shop after the trip out. All in all we will DEFINITELY do this again when we are back in the area. It was by far our favorite thing we did on our trip. Danger Charters is KILLING IT!!! We will recommend it every chance we get! PS, they also have a sunset wine tasting sail, an afternoon sailing/kayaking/snorkeling trip, and an all day trip. read more

Our time at Danger Charters started off a little rocky. We booked a sunset sail cruise, but it was raining pretty hard. They delayed the trip about 20 minutes and thought it was sprinkling, they decided to move forward with the trip. At first the captain (Nate) said "you're gonna get wet". However..... it was an amazing experience. The first hand Brianna, was one of the most amazing attendants and servers we have experienced. She was knowledgeable and extremely friendly. we were so disappointed with danger charters. With the humdrum of life on full blast, we'd hoped for the titillation of a day trip fraught with problems. Alas, we were sorely disappointed. they punctually gathered us and lead us to the well kept, very sea worthy, decidedly not dangerous vessel, which we boarded with no danger. We arrived at the snorkeling spot, no danger. The captain was well informed and seemed to hold little interest in running us a ground. The first mate was hard-working, knowledgeable, and not drunk. there were no shark attacks, no ship wrecks, no scurvy. We'd held out hope for a last minute rally, but no dice. We went on the afternoon half day snorkel and kayak tour. We had such a good time. Captain Shanon & her mates, Nico & Vikesh, were beyond awesome. The sailboat and kayaks (hoisting sails, getting kayaks in & out of the boat, etc) obviously took effort, and these guys kept their wit and humor in high form throughout the tour. Nico snorkeled with us and when she found something, she would give the signal so we all wouldn't miss it. Nico was our group's kayak guide around the mangroves, too, and I am telling you the knowledge and information she shared with us left us thinking she was a marine bioligist- it was a blast seeing the different wildlife, and very satisfying learning about what we were seeing. Spoiler alert: fun fun fun. Vikesh gave the group a quick and entertaining overview of the waters and included a bit of saucy history. Shanon is the epitome of a captain. Her awesome attitude and ethic were impressive. The crew was welcoming and made sure we were all happy. In summary, had the crew not interacted with the group, it would still have been stellar, and these three were the icing on the cake. So fun. My first time snorkeling as well as kayaking, and I came away feeling like a total pro. Danger Charters were cognizant of the Covid threat, and handled the safety above expectation. We did the 1/2 day snorkel & kayak tour. It was great! They limit the boat to 18 people & we had 16. Plenty of room to walk around. Clean boat. Lots of beverage. This was the absolute best thing we chose to do while in Key West. We had an epic day last Wednesday 03/22/2017 with Captain Janet and crew, Cody and Mathew. We saw dolphins, huge turtles mating, the snorkeling was second to none. In addition we kayaked too! We booked the full day and we were so happy we did. We saw the most beautiful fish when snorkeling. Big schools of blue & black fish, fish of every color, several parrot fish with the most beautiful colors, an octopus as well as barracuda. My sister and brother in law have snorkeled in many places. They said this was the best snorkeling they had ever done, better than Hawaii. For me, this was my first time snorkeling...so I guess it will be hard to match according to what everyone on the boat said. It was a grand slam day is the only way I can describe it. Captain Janet, Cody and Mathew were the best. They are all very knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information and history of the areas ecology. They are Naturalist and it is plain to see they absolutely love what they do. It shows in the way they treat their guests. They made the day special. We are visiting here in Key West for two weeks. We have not been able to come close to matching the experience we had with Danger Charter's Captain Janet, Cody & Mathew yet. Doubt we will surpass our perfect day for a very long time. The food was great, drinks were great and neither ever ran out. Most of all, the captain and her mates Cody & Mathew were easy to talk with, very attentive to all their passengers needs. Exceeded expectations!! My husband and I did the all day trip. There was sailing, snorkeling and kayaking. The water was perfect and there was surprisingly no need for a wet suit. There were 2 guides and a captain. All 3 were nice, helpful and hilarious. We were gone from 9:30-3:30 but the time went by so fast. They kept everything moving along. They had lunch and snacks throughout the day and unlimited beer, wine and soda. They were very hospitable and there was no judgment on how much anyone drank or ate. Everyone felt comfortable and had a good time. I look forward to booking another trip with them! read more
