My family stumbled onto Dangerous Pretzels thanks to a TikTok recommendation from my wife, a place I'd never heard of, but was happy to try on a recent day trip into Salt Lake City. Glad we did. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and watching them make pretzels from scratch right in front of you is a nice touch. We ordered three Salty pretzels and one BBQ (Parmesan, garlic, and herb). They came out fresh and fast, doughy, warm, and finished with a generous slather of olive oil. Both varieties were good, though we'd probably stick with just the Salty ones next time. The real standout was the Dangerous cheese dip. It was such a hit with the whole family that we ordered a second cup before we left. On the drive home, I asked my kids to compare it to Pretzelmaker, their longtime favorite and a high bar. Was headed to LaSportiva and thought I might be in there a while so decided to grab a bite first. You know, it's nice when you can get something good for under $10. Not bad! I think the set up is nice. Unfortunately there's a ton of construction outside of the building but there's a parking garage you can get a validation for. As for the pretzels, they were good! The flavors are really unique but tasty. I wasn't super impressed with the proportioning of the pretzels. Some parts were really thin and dry and then there were thick parts that were still a little doughy. I tried the BBK, Bootlegger, Saint and Sweet Talker. I thought they were all really good except there was way too much rosemary on the BBK! The cheese was awesome but $2 for a tiny cup is a little ridiculous. One cup is good for 2-3 pretzels depending on your dipping abilities. There's a self order kiosk and the only time you interact with staff is when they bring you your pretzel. I like how they have self serve water cups as well. Overall, I'd recommend checking out this place! Came here to check it out and it was a cool place. Personally I loved the mirrors on the wall and how the set up is a blend of coffee shop comfort but sitting at a table to eat. They make their pretzels fresh and they same out hot and ready. When they took our order they were very friendly and helpful. Overall our experience here was great. The reason for 4 star is because the baby chair seats were really dirty and we cleaned it ourselves before we put our infant in it. My friend and I stopped here on a whim and we were so glad that we did! The smell when you walk inside is so satisfying. And we loved seeing the glass window of the BTS footage making the pretzels before getting to the counter. We decided to try the Salty with cheese and the Devil's Delight with marinara. (We wanted to try their original, Salty pretzel to give it a fair ranking.) We loved both but the Salty with cheese was the obvious winner. The Devil's Delight was absolutely delicious but I cannot recommend the marinara -- it was really cold and lacked flavor. As we were leaving we were so tempted to grab a sweet pretzel for the road. The location and the parking situation isn't ideal. We were fortunate enough to snag a spot on the street so we didn't have to pay for parking. And the prices suck. But what's new. My boyfriend and I tried the BBK (Brush Before Kissing) with their house cheese (YUM), as well as the Devil's Delight (mozzarella and salami) with mustard. Everything was so delicious! They also have the option for customers to order ahead of time, and they also sell pretzels by the half dozen (with a small discount per unit) so that you can buy it for a gathering or share with family and friends. The choice of furniture is really thoughtful, and you can absolutely come with a group. This is located in the Post District apartment complex that is the block nestled between 500 S, 600 S, 300 W, and 400 W of SLC. There is plenty of parking here (that is validated by the business), and it's close to the freeway entrance/exit so even if you're driving here from outside of SLC, it doesn't take long to get here. read more

There is a parking lot near the location where you can park your car. You just need to get it validated for free parking. Once we came in, we were welcomed by an employee. There's an option for you to use the kiosk to order your items. Ambience was super cute nice and open atmosphere. What I like the most was that there was an area where you can look in and see how the different pretzels are made and baked. I was worried about the parking situation since it's off of a one way street, but when I came by yesterday after pulling onto the side street just past it, there was a very visible sign that said you can park in Post District apartments garage and they would validate. Easy breezy. I walked in and I was the only one. I was told I beat the rush. It's a pretty large space and had cute holiday decorations up and Christmas music playing. I used the bathroom first thing. All the way at the back there are two keypad entry toilets. On your way there you'll pass a window that gives Krispy Kreme vibes where you can see someone making the goods. The whole place was clean and a relaxing environment. Normally I don't like ordering from screens instead of people, but it was a breeze and I was pleasantly surprised to find way more flavor options like the bourbon maple bacon I went with and a seasonal pumpkin spice. I was also assisted by the wonderful woman working up front. She walked me through the whole menu in detail. I love sweet and savory and this pretzel flavor was just that. A flavor bomb. They put bacon in the dough, not just on top. They use actual bacon grease instead of butter and brush a maple bourbon glaze on it. I chose the dangerous dip cheese sauce, which is a little spicy from some jalapeño and I was gifted the sweet cream one to try too. Both were amazing on it and I bet even the mustard would be good on this flavor. Once I finished, I grabbed my validation sticker and made my merry way. If I wasn't prego I would've had a beer.
