You know it's BBQ Season, as their smokers fill the air that makes your mouth just water! There's always a line (a good sign)... and the portions are fair (not great, but not skimpy either). There's always two things when it comes to the barbecue does it smell as good as it tastes does it taste as good as it smells? And in this situation, the taste is not as good as it smells. I've been on this planet for a long time in the last 40 something years have eaten more than my Fair share a barbecue so I can only give you my opinion of a 40 year journey eating all kinds of barbecue from coast to coast. When it comes to their accouchement of sauces, yes they got plenty of hot sauces but no they don't have that many "" sauces or a juice that you can get with what you order. Lastly, all kinds of folks I've met are proud of the meat. They make love to talk about it love to get into the mechanics behind it without of course, giving up their trade secrets you don't get that here. If anything, you can just get people that wanna move the line along and I get it if there's a long line you wanna move folks along, but you can still be friendly about it. During the days that I've been there before the line started it's the same attitude just get your plate. Get your grub and go little to no communication. So if they ever make their chicken, chickens and meats taste as good as it smells, they will definitely get another star out of me, and if their attitude was more friendly and less stuffy, we would finally get that five star review that they should deserve, but due to the things I've encountered more than once it's three stars.

They prepare food fresh on the spot for you in the back corner. Note it is strictly to-go, no dine in options. The gentlemen in the store were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to answer our questions about how they prepare their fresh meats on the grill. Many, many thanks for the grilling demo! The marinated meats available all displayed in the case and they pull straight from there, it's fresh and made to order. We decided on a plate of chicken breast and a plate of beef lule (ground beef kabob). After placing our order, we had some time to browse the groceries and imported goods in the store. You'll find a wide variety of Middle Eastern and European goods. We picked out some imported Italian and Russian snacks as well as some lavash bread to eat with hummus at home. At home, we feasted! The meats are marinated and seasoned to perfection, tender and flavorful. The guys even cooked up a few pieces of pork ribs for us to try. And let me say, we may have to get a plate of just those next time!! The plate comes with salad (tomato, cucumber, dill, onion), hummus, lavash and rice. Don't sleep on their garlic sauce, that stuff is potent and HEAVENLY. Portion sizes are large and shareable in my opinion and prices are reasonable for the amount, and more importantly, the quality, of food you're getting. I wish I had some pictures but we inhaled our food before thinking about. Next time!

They just suck. This is the location I pass daily on my commute... I had such a terrible experience there just over a year ago that I stopped coming here... my coworkers suggested Chatsworth (on Mason) & Canoga Park (Roscoe & Topanga) and I really never looked back. Then in a rush & for the sake of convenience I popped in with one of my coworkers recently.... I knew better. I am still so upset by how I was spoken to & spoken about... I'm crying as I type this. How any business owner could put these terrible human beings at the checkout &/or in charge of the checkout just blows my mind. Hot tip to the idiots who work there... just because I look white does NOT mean that I do not understand and speak Spanish Hot tip #2 people have disabled placards for many different reasons, not all of them are visible. This time it was not me in my car with my placard... it was my coworker... an American hero, a veteran who lost his leg (BTK amputee)... who was harassed and insulted. To the franchise owner... DO BETTER! These folks are your ambassadors to the community... if their behavior reflects your attitude about the community then we do NOT want you here!
