I love her chocolate covered Oreos! I first met Daria when I was looking for someone to help me create giveaways for an event I had last year in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Without hesitation, she went ahead and processed my order ( I ordered 20 cookies) for 100 cookies knowing I wanted to raise money for my charity. She was so welcoming and went above and beyond to provide great service. I came back to her recently and hired her for an event I had during the spring, and again made cookies that were a hit! I have ordered her chocolate covered Oreos and her fortune cookies, and both times I have not been disappointed. My only suggestion is to know this isn't a store front open to the public, it's a factory. She welcomes people to come pick up at the factory after placing orders, but many times will either deliver or drop off depending on the address. read more

I was in the area and wanted to get a few giants and super giants as gifts . They were pretty nice about it, and when I called to ask about the yelp check in promo code, they assured me that they could accept it once I placed the order as the code was not being accepted on the website. I ordered 5 Fortune Cookies, 2 giant, and 3 super giant. I got 1 giant plain. 1 giant dark chocolate toffee. 1 super giant plain, 1 super giant dark chocolate with m&m's and 1 dark chocolate super giant. Overall, I am pretty satisfied. The packaging was outstanding, with lots of bubble wrap and packing peanuts. My only complaint would be that the m&m one was cracked when we took it out of the box. It's OK, though we were going to break it open anyway. The 2 giants came in their own boxes, and the 3 super giants were in 1 large box. Everything was well packed and presented. The inside of the building is your basic office setting, I did not see the back where the items are made, but again, it would be great if this was a walk-in and purchase shop. The parking is pretty tight as it seems all the spots were for employee vehicles. I do like that you can cystomize the fortunes inside the cookies to whatever you want . Now on to the actual taste of these giants. The plain super giant smelled good like a sugar waffle cone and was fairly easy to crack open. The flavor was great and definitely tasted like a fortune cookie. It was just a little hard, not stale. Once you started chewing, it softened a little. The dark chocolate super giant was easy to crack as well, and the chocolate was not too thick, and it helped the cookie stay softer. Chocolate was good and didn't mess up the flavor of the cookie. We haven't opened the others yet but plan on bringing them to the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday to eat while watching our show. I have been a customer for a few years. My last orders have been delivered broken IF THEY WERE DELIVERED AT ALL. I reached out to customer service and was told the non delivery "was on me" and told that the broken deliveries were brought to their attention too late. They will do nothing to remedy the situation. I was not aware the cookies were broken until I had an event wrap up meeting and all the recipients mentioned this to me. These cookies cost well over $50 everything said and done ,I thought they were a fun alternative to flowers but if the recipients are receiving a broken fortune cookie what is the point? So I recommended this place to a friend who is a party planner even though I haven't order from this place before. I remembered it in an article or a yelp search indicating good reviews. It was for a last minute 80s party and my friend was able to order cookies the day before and was told she can get them ready in less than 24 hrs. Awesome! A tad expensive (4 dozen custom made cookies for about $110), plus $25 to ship but worth it. She called and was told she can pick up between 3 to 5 pm next day to avoid the delivery charge. Since it was less than 1 mile from my home, I offered to pick it up for her. When I called and spoke to Keena, she was sweet enough to make me aware of the traffic in the area and to which streets to use to avoid traffic. I told her that I lived near by so no problem . It is definitely a place I would order from and recommend because the products turned out beautiful and individual wrapped and would keep well. I'm a Ad Specialty Distributor, meaning I sell Branded Products for Companies, like pens, mugs, apparel, etc. I can brand anything! Been in printing for 25 years, so I've been around the block a lot! Lady Fortune is listed on my Distributor Site as a supplier we can use who will sell us their goods wholesale so can resell them to our client(s). I thought their fortune cookie concept was fantastic so I took the bait. Presented them to two of my clients who wanted an edible holiday gift for their clients. I called and spoke to Carrie and Francesco to ask them many questions about their process, took notes! It was my first time working with them and I wanted to get it right - can't afford mistakes! I submitted the order on Nov 5th for a ship date of Dec 6th, ONE MONTH LEAD TIME! They told me they only need 3 days, but wanted to give them enough time to review, check art files, etc. I pre-paid for the orders. I gave them my PO (keep in mind I'm a business, not a consumer, who is ordering many of these for my clients who are giving them to their clients), filled out their spreadsheet template as they wanted, along with all of the art files for the logos on the cookies. Like I said.....not my first rodeo! We are talking about 52 Pails on one order (with different logos) and 12 Pails on the other. I was told artwork was fine (by Carrie), no issues, and no communication from them since they got their money from me. I tried to call last week, no answer! So I sent another email just to check in to make sure all was good and that these job were going to ship on-time, Dec 6th (this past Monday). Alex calls me back (keep in mind I never have ever spoken to her, never knew of her.). She was so amped up, frustrated, barely introduced herself on the phone and proceeded to tell me that my job was a 'mess', and "if the job had passed her desk she would've rejected it"! There she was threatening me to decline/reject the order 4 days prior to shipping after it had been sitting there for one month, pre-paid!! To make a long story short and believe me it's long.....they ended up shipping 5 of the cookie pails to the wrong addresses (3 companies total). It would be like sending a Holiday Cookie Basket to Wells Fargo with BofA logos all over the cookies - hello!! From the very beginning all Alex did was complain about my orders and now she is twisting the story and blaming me because I should have never sent the order, nor should it have been accepted in the first place! WHAT?? Who says and does things like that to a customer? Also, on the 12 Pail order they put the wrong sprinkle color on the cookies, and blamed me. When my PO and spreadsheet clearly say white and blue sprinkles - they put all blue. Alex's response was "oh, well....they look nice." Again keep in mind, colors on these cookies are very important because we are using the companies logo colors to decorate their cookies. Anyway, if anyone wants more information or to see my documentation, reach out to me - I'll share it so you'll know NOT TO TRUST Lady Fortune - Natalie and Taylors reviews are spot on! I felt I was reliving my horror by reading their reviews! ! What a sham! All I wanted was for them to redo and resend the 5 Pails of cookies OR give me refund of $155.00. Instead, Alex kept on insisting that I ask my client (who is already embarrassed and pissed) to call his 3 clients that got the wrong cookies to repack them in the box, call UPS to come pick them up BEFORE she would redo and resend them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Why are you expecting me to inconvenience my client and his clients because of your shipping error??? I even said to them...your response to this fiasco should be..." I am so very sorry, please keep the wrong cookies and we will redo and send you the right cookies out right away!" Instead, Alex is argumentative, delusional, taking no responsibility and doesn't "listen", keeps yapping and yappy! To make amends to my client, I had to spend $300.00 of my own money to purchase cookies from Cheryls Cookies, ship them to his 3 clients with an apology note that Lady Fortune dropped the ball. Thank goodness I did not lose this client, but he and his clients will not be ordering from Lady Fortune. All that stuff you see on the videos and shows they've been on.....all a lie. They were on their best behavior - all for the show! I even reached out to the owner Daria - never heard back. The policies of the company come from the top, so she is ultimately to blame. I will be sharing my experience at Lady Fortune to the airways, as I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. My reputation is everything to me, and this week they tarnished that! I am NOT happy! Never got my money back either! With all of this said, I think they would be okay to use if you order online, just one item, sent to one place with no usual request and not close to the holidays. I ordered through Groupon and after reading all the good reviews I was excited to try these wonderful cookies. Well....the cookies arrived today and I couldn't be more dissappointed. When I placed my order online I requested that I not recieve cookies with nuts in them due to the fact my daughter has a nut allergy. Cookies were nothing special, did not have that fresh homemade taste. Definitely not made with high quality ingredients and is not gourmet tasting. My original rating was one star, which I'll be editing to take the low rating off the merchant's average. I was contacted by the merchant because she was very concerned about my negative experience; she offered to send a replacement and I accepted. The package arrived yesterday; it was carefully insulated inside the shipping box, the bakery box was bulging out of one of its sides slightly as if it had been over-packed. The cookies inside were again all put together in one big cellophane bag (except for the custom cookie - this time is was individually wrapped and placed on top of the big bag of cookies inside the bakery box) - I noticed some minor breakage around the edges of some of the cookies, and the oatmeal raisin cookies were placed on the side, where they molded themselves around the row they sat against (think warm cookies placed on a rolling pin). When I opened the bag and started to remove the cookies, there was additional breakage, but not nearly as much as before. I tried the Oatmeal Raisin first: tasty, but still not as good as mine. Chocolate Chip: I've had (and make) way better. Chocolate-Chocolate Chip: these were soft and had a nice, deep cocoa flavor. Sugar: kind of reminded me of the finished product from the refrigerated cookie dough aisle (not necessarily a bad thing, but you decide if it's worth it). There was an additional box inside the shipping package containing a sample design on individually wrapped white chocolate-coated Oreos. These cookies were absolutely adorable; they had the company design on top and the edges were coated with the colors of the company logo. The taste: I'm not a fan of white chocolate, but it wasn't too heavy and there was an Oreo inside. My overall impression of the basic cookies is "meh". I'm throwing in an extra star because of the customer service and because of the other great products they offer, like those adorable custom Oreos. read more

I recently ordered chocolate covered fortune cookies to use as favors at my wedding. We got a mix which includes white, dark, milk chocolate, and caramel with different toppings. I communicated with the company via email prior to ordering because I had questions about timing, freshness, quantity, etc. My emails were answered promptly and in a very friendly manner. I just ordered from Lady Fortunes.com and had considerable problems. The site gives the option of a delivery date however, when the confirmation email came, the delivery date was a week earlier. I called customer service and was explained that there are several limitations and strings attached to having an order delivered on a specific date. Also, I was told that Lady Fortunes has so many orders that my order could not be altered or cancelled. The customer service representative continued to tell me all the information I was looking for in regards to shipping was in the fine print on a different webpage; not helpful to customers looking for shipping information on the shipping page. The site is very sneaky and I was told customer service has dealt with other customers with the same problem, yet have not changed the site.
