I put in an application for a dog, I paid the $500 deposit, I got a bad feeling about them so I tried to cancel. From her responses I could tell she had no heart. We bought a puppy from Dani, and it turns out he was born with a spinal defect and he can't control his pooping. He poops in his crate at night, and he poops in his sleep even wen napping during the day. I took him to the vet, and I was referred to a neurological specialist in San Francisco. That specialist confirmed that he has a spinal defect from birth. She instructed us to not play ball with him or let him jump off the couch anymore. This is not what a three year old dog should be dealing with... When I contacted Dani about the issue, she told me that it wasn't in our contract to guarantee such health issues. I understand that dogs will have health problems during their lives, I've grown up with dogs since I was a child. But to pay $3000 for a puppy that three years into their life has issues related to a birth defect doesn't sit well with us. I asked for a partial refund of the sale price, but she refused. She offered to let me "surrender" our family dog to her instead. We won't give a member of our family back to the breeder we bought him from, we love our Ozzy. We just expect that for the price we paid, we would have a healthy pet for years to come. Since Dani doesn't seem to want to make it right in the slightest way, I'm leaving this review so you can make an informed decision about who you choose to buy a puppy from. read more

We adopted a 9 month old dog from Dani in September of 2012. I know 9 months is not the usual age of puppy people get from a breeder but our dog was perfect for us then and is perfect for us now! Dani was adopting her out because she had intended for our dog to be a show dog but Beanie had been stung by a wasp and had a bald spot on her leg - a show dog no no. We were extant to find an already potty trained pup as we were living in a 3rd floor apartment at the time. Adopting out an older puppy that her family already loved, Dani did a thorough interview with us to make sure Beanie was going to a loving home. Here we are, 6 years later! In the 6 years we've had Beanie, she's moved to and adapted well to 2 new homes. She's figured out how to live with a pool in her backyard and behaves safely around it. We've trained her on several basic commands. Beanie travels well and has been on a 2,200 mile road trip and stayed in many hotels. Our whole family loves our little Bean. Recently, we added our first baby to the mix and Beanie has adapted well. She loves the baby and gives him lots of kisses but also keeps a safe distance when we ask her to ("no"). As to her health, Beanie is perfectly healthy! Our vet always says, "Wow, this dog is muscle with skin on it!" Beanie does have an allergy to one of the vaccines that is required by our vet but he says this is very common -- now that the allergy is known, he gives a variation of the vaccine that does not contain the allergen and Beanie is fine. Beanie has also had a few teeth removed but this was mostly our fault. Beanie loves playing tug and our vet advised that we were playing too much give that the shorter faced breeds can be prone to jaw issues. She ended up needing several teeth removed after that but has not had any teeth issue since we have discontinued playing tug. Beanie now gets lots of fetch time instead. To speak to Dani, she is was awesome when we met her and continues to be. Her Facebook group is awesome and keeps us in the loop with all things CC Boston. We wouldn't dream of using another breeder. We weren't planning on getting another so soon, but I had reached out to Danielle after doing a lot of research on line of local breeders. We instantly fell in love with our little girl- Emery. We had a few weeks to wait until we were allowed to take her home. During that time, Danielle texted me photos of Emery almost daily, which I LOVED! She also has an amazing Facebook page for all the owners which she signed me up with. I am addicted to checking in daily to see all the dog posts! It's also really nice to be able to stay in touch with Emery's litter mates. Danielle also took the litter to the vet for first shots and that evening she texted me a video of Emery's time with the Vet. I love the transparency, she's not your average breeder! We finally got to pick up our little Emery and Danielle was very informative about next steps. We visited for a while and then gathered up to go but before we went she took several pics of us with Emery to post on the Facebook page. We texted and have stayed in contact ever since. She truly cares where her pups end up. I appreciate that greatly. Emery is such a beautiful pretty dog, that is so well tempered and the biggest snuggler I've ever seen. We couldn't be happier that this little nugget came into our lives. We're also so fortunate to have found Danielle. She is not only a wealth of information, but such a kind individual and a friend. I knew I loved Campbell Clan Boston's dogs before I even had my own. I worked at a dog daycare and my absolute FAVORITE "student" was a dog named Pumbaa who happened to be a Boston terrier. After fawning over him for about a year and a half, I finally asked his owner where she got this charming creature. Long story short, we got on the wait list and finally got our own. Pochi. The most perfect dog in the world. She has been nothing but an absolute joy every day since we got her. It is SO clear that Danielle breeds for personality and temperament! She is SO generous and goofy and loving with other dogs. I feel like we were especially lucky because we recieved her at 5 months versus the normal 8 weeks. In this time, she lived with Danielle and her family and all of the clan. And, since Danielle runs a dog daycare out of her home, Pochi was exposed to several other types of dogs before coming to live with us. She was potty trained, and socialized, and just generally super well adjusted! I realize that this is a unique case, but it was perfect for us. Pochi has a curiosity for everything and a good natured (if sometimes stubborn) response to corrections as well. She shares, loves making new dog friends, has no idea of how tiny she is, and just is all around fabulous. Danielle had her for her most formative months, so everything that she is and the way she reacts to everything in her life is in large part due to how Danielle raised her during that time. I would never hesitate to adopt from Campbell Clan Bostons again.
