If you are looking for a cozy, affordable and super delicious place to come get breakfast, buy groceries or gear while visiting the Gorge --- this is the place to come. It's just off the "Slade" exit on Natural Bridge Road (on the way to Miguel's). We stopped in after breaking down camp this morning and were pleasantly surprised to find a spacious eating area filled with books, quiet jazz and live edge wood decor. The coffee for organic, the meats in the deli (and freezer if you want to buy to go) were all local, natural, hormone free. I walked around the store to look at the goods - groceries, camping supplies, clothing and souvenirs. They were all VERY reasonably priced -- which was surprising for a small, touristy shop on the main stretch. As a bonus -- they have free wifi (which is great, because if you have AT&T, you'll lose service in some areas of the store. Lastly - the folks working here were so friendly. They came around to check on us a few times. We'll definitely be back! read more

Stopped for breakfast and had the sausage egg and cheese on English muffin with a strawberry banana smoothie. Excellent food and really good smoothie! Great breakfast to start a morning hike. Everything was made to order so it was fresh and hot! Would love to come back! They have a real coffee bar and menu with espresso, they can do hot, iced or blended coffees. They also have a grocery store/souvenir store inside as well as some climbing/camping gear. Good place to stop! read more

This is the RRG coffee shop to go to for a great Americano AND for the local beer selection. This place also is the quintessential gift shop, with handmade trinkets, tshirts, jewelry, last-minute campsite supplies, etc. For sure a great stop when you enter the gorge. read more

We've been coming here for years and they just keep getting better. Friendly staff, cute shop, great coffee and today's s'more cup from the bakery case was delicious and fresh. My mother-in-law still talks about the breakfast sandwich she had 3 years ago! The food and coffee are enough for 5 stars but the KY small business gifts- jewelry, candles, shirts, etc- are really worth a stop all on their own. read more

We went here for breakfast. There were tons of options like sandwiches, burritos, omelets, and an assortment of pastries. I got the burrito, which was literally one of the best burritos I had had. Whoever made it knows how to roll a burrito where you get a mixture of all the ingredients in one bite. My husband got the omelet, and it was just as good as he said. He got a coffee, which he praised. And we both got smoothies. They tasted great. However, they are pretty thick. They either need fatter straws or not as thick. We couldn't enjoy them till the end of our meal. They have a cute enclosed patio and an outdoor covered patio. There is plenty of space. They have games you can play while waiting as well. The only reason I gave it a 4 star and not 5 was when my pager went off, and I went in to get my smoothie. I was unsure where to go, so I went to the counter to turn in my pager. Many workers looked at me, standing there with the annoying blaring pager. Never asking what I may need or where my order was. Finally, one worker who had made eye contact with me twice already points to the top of the display case and snapped at me. "There is your smoothie, anything else you need?" I balked and said no thank you and awkwardly placed my chirpping pager down in place of my smoothie. Felt it was fairly rude. However, they were busy, and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt they were just having a rough day. Still highly recommend checking out this place. read more

Great little coffee shop in the Red. They have delicious coffee, treats, and lunch food. I saw some signs up that said they even have trivia on certain nights! When I was there, I had a BLT. Very reasonable price ($4!), and a tasty sandwich just like I would have made at home. About half of the shop is dedicated to souvenirs, camping gear, and snacks. So stinking cute!! This shop has a ton of stuff. They have camping necessities but also a few fun items. They have a ton of locally made items like soaps, lotions things like that. The coffee is great and they have a big selection. I got a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it seriously was everything! Good coffee, ok service, so-so gifts. I popped in here once after a hike. I was looking for a magnet of Red River Gorge. There were a handful of magnets that would work. I got a good look at the other gifts while looking. Most were gas-station quality shot glasses and t-shirts. Not particularly impressed. Not many that were specific to Red River Gorge or the area. Most were generic touristy items that could be sold anywhere in Kentucky. There was a good selection of hiking/climbing/trail gear to their credit. The coffee was delicious, though! Fresh and well-prepared and a fair amount of selection. Definitely the highlight! I didn't try any food while here. I wasn't too impressed with the service either. Both employees I interacted with were short and barely spoke. The second gave me change and appeared to sorta sling the coins into my hand. Maybe I'm misreading a laid-back attitude among hikers/climbers in the area. But it didn't feel particularly warm. Frankly I felt like I was a nuisance to the staff. Given the selection of shops nearby I might go somewhere else next time. But I enjoyed the coffee! read more

Great place for food and drinks in the area! A longer wait for food so if you're in a hurry I would call in to place your order. Small portion size for breakfast sandwiches and my friend was still hungry. They do serve specialty coffee and alcohol and there is a general store to pick up everyday items and groceries. Additionally, when we went back 2 days later, and asked about it we were told "well the website isn't always right".
