For context I avoided the dentist at all costs for nearly 25 years due to a pretty rough experience I had as a child which created a bit of a severe phobia (the kind where you seriously consider pulling your own teeth instead of going to the dentist). Like you'd expect my teeth became an issue that couldn't be ignored anymore and I began looking for a dentist. I stumbled across all west family dentistry and took a chance that has turned out to be an excellent choice. They have been incredibly patient and supportive all the way through & I could not have gone from being too afraid to sit in the chair to successfully getting a tooth extracted without their superb quality of care. From reception, to the hygienists, dental assistants, and the dentists themselves this place is great. I'd like to thank Dr Aguilar, his assistants one I believe is named Erica, the other who helped with my extraction I cant remember her name but she was very kind and helpful. The ladies at reception especially Heather are top tier, they have wonderful communication and help create an environment that makes someone in my position feel more comfortable. I selected Burns because they accepted my insurance. The dentist I left told me not to go with…read morethem because they were less expensive even if they didn't accept my insurance. I was sure that with my insurance it would be less expensive to go with another dentist because I had the "Cadillac" of dental coverage. As it turns out even with insurance coverage I was paying so much more at Burns than at other dental offices. As an example Burns cost for a procedure I needed done was $25000+. When I told them the cost was too much they said they would discount it to $22000+. I went to three other dentists and I found one to do the exact same procedure for $10300. In addition Burns began charging 3.5% to use a credit card. I decided to change dentists because of those two issues. Through the years I found them to be about twice as expensive as other dental offices. On my last procedure the dentist charged $319 for "flipper teeth". At Burns I paid $970 for a "flipper tooth". When I left they sent me a bill for over $500. They said this was for a claim that was denied because of frequency. They did the procedure in 2023 and they did the same procedure in 2025. If it failed in 3 years they should have done it for gratis I would think.

Taking forever and they make more excuses after excuses. Spoke to many others and the people said they get charged $1000s and no work even done. The elderly don't speak up or post reviews. I have been through several cleaning and maintenance appointments and I start ortho in January. So we have received a good amount of services from them and attended many appointments with them. Everyone is always awesome! The front desk is always friendly and knowledgeable. They are always very on top of paper work and billing procedures. A human answers the phone every time I've ever called (during business hours)!! It amazing. This office gives me the feeling of dentists offices from the past where we weren't patient number blah blah blah.. They've always treated Brian and myself like family and give us the feeling they really care. They know our names and although we typically visit separately because of our schedules, everyone asks "how's Brian?" or "how was the wedding?" Signaling that they've taken the time to remember things about their patients and care about our lives outside of just billing our insurance. This is especially evident in long time employees like Nedra. This woman is amazing. She has a firm but loving way of letting you know what to focus on while not making you feel judged or put down. I had an implant post surgery on Friday, they said they'd try to adjust my flipper to make it fit, but we'd have to wait over the weekend for swelling to go down, awesome no problem. I come back on Monday and the immediately start telling me that I'm gonna blame them for breaking the flipper. What? I'm here because you guys told me to come back. I THEN ask to speak to the office manager, Amy, who goes on to tell me that nobody is blameless and I'm CONFUSED AS HELL ABOUT WHOS BLAMING WHAT. Awful experience, this place needs to be shut down.
