I put some headphones on and she was very gentle ( yeah I know still getting a tooth pulled) with it but before I knew it we were done. I like that they are more interested in my teeth than selling me up-sale add-ons like most dentists. Not that she wouldn't recommend additional treatment if appropriate. Dr. Bader has done this when I needed laser treatment on my gums and a great result for what it cost. I've been her patient since 2005 and have never had a bad experience in treatments, billing, getting my appointment on time, etc. I just looked through the reviews and noticed a 1 star rating from a patient that had a problem with their dental insurance plan and felt like I needed to comment on it. I felt it unfair. Having an unusual dental insurance plan and a billing problem doesn't warrant a one star rating. Regardless of which dentist, if you have an insurance plan with a limited network, the question you would ask when setting up your appointment is, "Do you accept XYZ insurance plan AND are you in XYZ provider network?". Further, most insurance plans have a list of dentists in their network, so why wouldn't you take five minutes and check it? Knowing Dr. Bader, she'd try to figure it out, if possible, and her office manager would tell you if their practice is out of network for that plan. I've never had a problem with billing at Lake Pleasant Dentistry but have always had typical insurance plans such as Delta or MetLife or something common like that. They even offer various payment plans if you have to stretch payments over several months.

He chose not to call, prompting me to write this review. As part of my visit on 9/24, before the cleaning I specifically went there for, the dental assistant performed a gum charting exercise (if not familiar, it's an easy Google lookup to describe what the charting numbers mean). For each tooth, she read out to her assistant 4s and 5s. A 12 year old failing implant had a much higher reading I'm sure was accurate. Dr. Noll told me I need a deep-cleaning to the tune of approximately $600...I subsequently saw my periodontist a few days later to evaluate the old implant. He performed another charting that revealed 2s and 3s. I then asked if I'd benefit from a deep cleaning, and I guess because of professional courtesies between doctors, he reluctantly told me I won't benefit from the procedure. It was the difference between what I was told at this appointment and what my periodontist said that led me to move on.

Second bad review I've ever done. Same office same reason. Their billing department. I left this…read moreoffice over four years ago but unfortunately my kids stayed with them. They are both adults with their own insurance separate from mine. My daughter for years and my son recently but the billing lady said they've known about his separate insurance for almost a year. She said as such about each kid during the conversation we had which I legally recorded. I recently received a past due account turns out for my daughter. Also, on the bill is my son's charges for his recent cleaning. As I said earlier, she admitted knowing he has his own insurance for around a year even though it is showing up on my past due notice for my daughter. So a past due account and at the same time my credit score dumped 44 points. Credit bureaus don't list collections if under $500.00 which this is. All I needed was them to put my kids on their own insurance admitting I'm not their guarantor, an email stating as such and a past due account showing zero balance for me so I can submit to the credit bureaus. I patiently listened to her explain about what she perceived happened. I tried to talk and tell her what I needed and why she was incorrect because she admitted they know my son has his own insurance even though his latest cleaning also showed up on the past due notice. She interrupted me, talked over me and then slammed me on hold. It was extremely unprofessional. I've written this to caution folks from doing business here. I left this practice over four years ago and am still dealing with them. This could've been so easy. I have proof about everything on this review both on the recorded conversation and the prior emails and the past due account statement. There are a lot of good dental offices out there with good professional people working.

The reviews almost scared me off from this place but I like how they are open later and on weekends so I gave them a try. Dr. Zenner has been great and since I've had so much work done in such a short amount of time I have got to interact with a lot of the staff and everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and seems to be genuinely nice and caring. Plus my teeth look and feel great. I had some pretty bad dental experiences in the past at other dentist offices so I do get a little anxious having to get work done but they have truly made it a great experience it's no longer some daunting scary task I keep pushing off.

I chose this dentist because of all the amazing reviews, and so I thought I'd detail my experience…read morebecause it wasn't as perfect as the reviews make it seem. They seem very knowledgable and seem to know what they're doing when it comes to dentistry, but my concerns are more in the administration side of things. I changed jobs earlier this year and got new insurance with a common major insurance provider, and I needed to get a procedure done. I asked them what the procedure would cost and they gave me a quote, which was already expensive, and I paid that at the time of service. However, when I came in for a routine cleaning 6 months later, they said the insurance "didn't pay as much as they thought" and stuck me with MORE THAN DOUBLE their original quote. I looked into the insurance claim and called the insurance company myself, and the insurance company paid exactly what was according to their billing schedule. There were no surprises. I think the office knew (or should have known, because they're the professionals and this is what they do) that this would happen, and they dishonestly gave me a lower quote, did the service, and then stuck me with the even more expensive bill (but to their credit, they did give me a lower price than what they billed to insurance, but it was still VERY expensive that I was not prepared for). Additionally, I distinctly recall the procedure treated four teeth, but then on the bill and insurance claim, they say they treated six. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to argue this, especially because it happened so long ago. I suspect they didn't contact me about this issue earlier for this exact reason. Again, dishonest. Another concern with this dentist is that it's unprofessional that they use Zelle to get around credit/debit card transaction fees. Every merchant has to deal with card transaction fees, they shouldn't be up-charging that cost and they shouldn't be using Zelle, which is supposed to just be a peer-to-peer payment network. Lastly, as much as I love dogs, I don't think it's hygienic that they keep a dog in their office. In all, I started off loving this dentist, and very disappointed that they turned out to be this unprofessional and dishonest. I'm sad I'll have to go elsewhere from now on.
