We needed concrete put down in our garage as well as a support beam in the center. Levan gave us a quote and we expected the work to be done professionally and done well. Unfortunately, we were in for a rude awakening. You will see in the attached photos that the concrete dried in a sloppy uneven way. He told us the color would even out in a few days and it never did. He also told us he would put up a pressure treated beam to support the center of our garage. My husband went to stain the wooden beam today and there were cracks in the wood (so definitely not pressure treated) and the side beams had major gaps and added no further support. See photos attached. Additionally, the day the work was done they dumped wet concrete on the side of our driveway, saying they would come get it once it dried. We had texts full of excuses as to why they couldn't clean up the concrete for a full week. After we kept texting, he finally came and cleaned it up. There is a photo of the remnants of that as well. Not to mention, photos of the cement footprints left on our driveway. Oh and to top it all off, they dumped one of their wheelbarrows on a neighbor's property. I guess they saw it was heavily wooded so why not dump it there? Lastly, I took a screenshot of the text I received from Levan after confronting him about the wooden beam that was poorly constructed in our garage. He told us "we got what we paid for." We never haggled for a price. He gave us one price and we agreed. He didn't tell us we were agreeing to half assed work! Very unprofessional!

With a giant rain and wind storm coming the next day, Nancy called and actually arranged to have Gus Anax do the repair ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON so that I would not have to deal with the damage that was sure to ensue! I was amazed to have come across a company that actually cares, especially to this extent, about a potential customer! I have never before had the pleasure of such kind professionals working with me in so attentive a manner before. The repair was done, and I was able to sleep soundly through the storm rather than watching my ceiling collapse! Going forward, I received a quote to have my old roof replaced that was absolutely within the price range I was expecting. Of course, I was delighted to receive a quote that I could afford but equally important, I felt a full sense of confidence in going ahead with the folks at Anax. They were very professional and informative, not to mention patient, throughout the process of selecting the roof material and giving me an understanding of the roofing process. They could not have been more helpful to this rather nervous customer. I need not have had any anxiety about having this job done, thanks to Gus Anax Home Improvements' professionalism and expertise! Gus and his team of skilled workmen set to work methodically and with great care. They were a pleasure to have at my house. With my wonderful new roof, my house looks far better than I could even have imagined. The roof is so pretty and greatly enhances the entire appearance of my property. (I have greenish-grey siding with dark green trim/red front door - - I went with Colonial Slate for the roof, and honestly, it looks like a storybook house -- exactly the effect I was going for!) Paul, the owner, gained my trust instantly with his professional and personable manner. Paul was by my side throughout the entire process. Everyday, Paul showed up to the house and checked on progress and addressed anything that needed attention. Paul said everything would be done in 4 weeks. Four months later and their "plumber" has every excuse in the book for not showing up. Canceled several appointments with very laughable excuses. Showed up 2 times with a wrench and screwdriver only, no tubing or connectors to finish the job. I was warned and did not listen. Be very careful, Paul is very good when the project is being done and the money is flowing. After support warranty, no such thing from them. First Impressions finally resolved the outstanding problem to everyone's satisfaction. The project is now complete and well done. Now I can recommend their services.

The reviews turned out to be fairly accurate and I was glad that I chose him to be my contractor. It was refreshing to deal with a contractor who is a stand-up guy (his subcontractors said so as well which is always a good sign), provides good service (above and beyond) but also gets the job done. He and his workers did an excellent job installing flooring and painting in some rooms, redid a fireplace, and finished my garage. The work was stellar and he provided good guidance and suggestions along the way. I'm already looking to work on more projects with him.
