My experience left me concerned about both the accuracy of the diagnosis provided and the overall handling of my case by one of the Dentist Guillermo Cortes and his wife also a dentist During my appointment, I was given a treatment plan that was submitted to my dental insurance company for pre-determination. However, this request was denied. This outcome raises serious concerns for me, as I relied on your professional judgment when the recommendation was made. The discrepancy between the dentists diagnosis and the insurance company's determination suggests that the proposed treatment may not have been appropriate I had to Research and find a dental procedure called the Maryland Bridge which I feel and the dentists would have been reliable dental procedure in my situation the doctor should have brought it up on the initial consultation Additionally, I sought care for a tooth with a broken root Buried beneath the gums that required attention. I informed your office of my medical history, including radiation treatment to the right side of my jaw approximately eight years ago. Despite this, no meaningful treatment was performed by Guillermo Cortez. I was left with the impression that Guillermo Cortes unwillingness to proceed with the extraction due to this history he was afraid Despite all his training. While I understand that prior radiation can complicate dental procedures, I expected either a clear treatment plan, proper referral to a specialist, or definitive guidance on how to proceed safely With the extraction using antibiotics to provide infection and careful monitoring of the gums after the extraction Instead, I left the appointments feeling that my time had been wasted and that my dental issue remains unresolved. No treatment was completed, no alternative plan was clearly established, and no referral was provided to address my condition appropriately. As a patient, I expect clear communication, accurate diagnosis, and a proactive approach to care--especially when there are known medical complexities involved I was simply told we won't do it. a Additionally the office seems to be a bit in disarray because insurance lady left recently and is no longer employed there. now one of the dentists is handling all insurance filings claims and predeterminations. I came the following day or two after with an appointment and was turned away because of their scheduling mistake and needing the same dentist to be the one to check out the retainer. (The fault of whoever scheduled me) Next, I had a bonding done on a tooth and it chipped a week later, I come in the same day it chipped and once again turned away after waiting ONE hour in the waiting room, why? First time they claimed I never made an appointment even though I always make one with my husband and then they still tried arguing.
