My dentist referred me to Dr. Lichstrahl's office. I called and made my appointment with ease. The day of my appointment I walked in and was greeted and given all the paperwork to sign. I was called to see the doctor. Dr. Lichstrahl's explained everything and he recommended I come back to take care of the root canal that was done in a couple of week. He gave me a script for antibiotics. I got a call a few days before to confirm. The day of, everything went smoothly. I have to say I hardly felt a thing. He has what my grandmother calls "Saint Hands." He did the anesthesia and I didn't feel a sting or anything. He explained what he was doing and asked how I was doing during the entire procedure. At times, I felt so calm, I almost fell asleep. This is a very professional office. They do a great job scheduling patients and communicating with them. Dr. Lichstrahl is fantastic.

If anything the dentists are far more careful here than the private practice dentists I've seen. The only real hassle is joining their program, as there's a waiting list. After screening and initial evaluation, they're very thorough and very clear in recommendations. The staffers including front desk check-in are invariably friendly and efficient. It takes a bit longer since the dental students get everything checked over by the instructors. My impression was that the dental students just starting do the less complex tasks and the ones about to graduate get the more complex tasks

I followed up again a couple of weeks later. Her first question was, "Why haven't I heard from your insurance?" Did you follow up with them? Did you re-submit like I asked you to please? "It's YOUR insurance!" she yelled back. "You have to follow up with them!" I'm in the insurance business and have NEVER had a provider tell me I have to follow up on their work.
