One of the worst experience I have had with a contractor in a very long time 2019! Problem almost start immediately: 1st, Daniel Medina Concrete & Masonry took 3 weeks to a job they Guaranteed to complete in 5 days. They stated they were struggling with cutting the stone, delaying their timeline but in fact, this is because they didn't bring the right tools for the jobs. 2nd, Daniel Medina Concrete & Masonry were rarely on the job site. Majority of the days they worked was around 5 hours, then they would disappear. I finally had enough after this company failed to show up 4 DAYS in a row! They had nothing but excuses, lies and failed to inform me in any of those four days why they did not come to finish the job. Highly unprofessional! 3rd, Daniel Medina Concrete & Masonry failed to glue most of PVC pipes for drainage and some irrigation lines. Absolutely not acceptable! Luckily my new contractors found this problem before they caused anymore damages. Lastly, after I fired Daniel Medina Concrete & Masonry, their employees came to the house to pick up all their equipment, or so I thought. Instead they removed all the level marks and all the cutting lines. I asked for them to please take all their wood, polymer dividers, scaffolding but they refused that day. read more

I am writing this review regarding Daniel Medina Concrete and Masonry. I was in need of a concrete slab to build some storage sheds on. I had a section of my yard that was mostly dirt and weeds. Since I am not too familiar with Concrete in general, I decided to seek help and my brother referred me to Danny Medina. I currently live in Granada hills, CA which is about 45 mins away from Palmdale which is his base of operations. He came out and asset the area and gave me advice regarding how the lay of the land was and what would be needed to complete the project. He wasn't pushy or anything and very professional and gave me a breakdown of what is needed and estimate cost. We kept him in mind and got other contractors to come out, and his was the best deal and most informed. these other ones seemed to try to cut corners and we didn't like that at all. Danny was the most upfront and didn't sugarcoat anything or tried to push the sale, he was very patient with all our questions and answered everything we needed. The work took about 2 days to complete. We had roughly 500 square feet to fill and He came out with his team and the job came out very professional and spot on. I am the kind of person who likes to be informed and he was there to answer any question I had even while it was happening, Which i really appreciated. He did not keep me in the dark and always let me know what was going on. What I liked about this company is they are old fashioned, and what I mean by that is they let their work speak for itself. They don't hype it up nor do they try and sell it. they just do the work and are professional and courteous. Something you don't see now a days. They mostly work by word of mouth but I just had to put them out there because they are seriously one of those companies that are a gem and shouldn't be hid from the world =) They do Concrete and brick work and alot of other things. Danny kept in contact after we meet for a free quote and worked around my work schedule. His crew dug out an intense root system which caused the problem with the wall. It was done in half a day and on point with the quote he gave me. Very reasonable considering the work involved of removing many individual blocks, tree and roots, replacing wall and removing the damaged blocks to the dump. I highly recommend them, he's the only one who actually showed up to even give a quote. read more

Daniel did some demo and re-poured our concrete around our pool, fixed our Deck-O-Seal and re-grouted our coping. The weather with the cold and rain was horrible for them to get us scheduled but Daniel and his son worked as best as they could with the elements to get our project handled. They nearly matched the existing concrete and the grout areas he did matched the existing grout almost perfectly. I'd highly recommend them for any and all concrete and coping work! read more

We were in need of a masonry ASAP !! I had read the review on Yelp and I decided to call Daniel. I called him on a Monday Morning and he was here within the hour. He is very polite and so were his sons they gave us an estimate they were upfront and affordable. They were on time every morning and very nice. These guys u looked forward to every morning. It took them two days to finish and were we live it's impossible to even get a cement truck up here they did this all by hand even mixing the cement !! Hats off to these guys !!! They were very professional in their demeanor and behavior and I was impressed with their punctuality and efficiency. Danny has been doing work for me and my family for 15+ years now. They most recently finished a driveway and wall in Leona Valley just before the massive 100 year flood. Not only did everything hold up it actually helped water diversion and we experienced minimal mud in areas that had flooded in way lesser storms before. This is the first time I have decided to write a review on Yelp. I do this because of the overwhelmingly positive experience I had recently with Daniel Medina Concrete & Masonry. Six months ago, my wife and I purchased an older home in the West Palmdale area. The entire back yard needed a lot of work and instead of installing grass, we decided to use concrete. We were referred to Mr. Medina from a posting on Yelp and on the first in person contact with him, we knew his would be the right company for the job. Mr. Medina was personable, professional and very knowledgeable. He walked me through exactly what to expect during the installation and was always there to answer in/all of my questions. His team of polite and courteous associates were always on time and respectful. During the project, I had several ideas come to mind that were not included in the initial scope of work detailed in the contract that was agreed upon. However, Mr. Medina was always willing to make modifications and accommodate my changes as the project went on. Also, it would not be uncommon for Mr. Medina to call with suggestions or ideas he had which in every case proved to be perfect enhancements to our back yard project. Mr. Medina completed our yard on time and I must say, the final product is simply awesome! It is more than I expected as Mr. Medina was able to take my loosely communicated plan and bring it to life in a miraculous way. His work is nothing short of concrete art. The entire experience of working with Daniel Medina Concrete & Masonry was so wonderful that I am already thinking of other projects for Mr. Medina and his team.
