It was the perfect day to shop Four Muddy Paws, because it was National Shop Your Local Pet Store Day. Yes, that is a real holiday. I was so glad to be able to stop by and support the original FMP. Since I moved to Illinois, I am now a regular at their Edwardsville store. Sophia got two new bandanas, two small iced dog treats and one big Happy Barkday Cookie to celebrate her special day. When we did our morning walk, we took the big cookie with us. As we meet her neighborhood friends, we broke off a piece of the big cookie and shared her celebration. The staff was new to me, but I was happy to see they still provided the good customer service that Four Muddy Paws is known for. I may be a regular in E-ville now, but I'll still hold a special place in my heart for the Lafayette store.

He was very excited to see other dogs walking around and wanted to be friends with everyone (humans and dogs)! The store offers a wide variety of treats as well as specialty treats for birthdays and gotcha days. The workers were also so friendly and when it was time to check out, I signed up for their rewards program and since it was our first time (and a birthday), they also gave me a small discount - which was much appreciated. I now know exactly where to go when Baxter needs more treats or toys. This local shop is just perfect for my little fur baby!

In general we try to support small businesses, and Flying Fur has been through so much in the last few years, with the pandemic and other roadblocks (I.e. a lightning fire) that would've likely made many other business owners call it quits. Aimee has persevered and asked for patience from her patrons through several moves and other personal challenges but always ALWAYS remembers to respond to appointment requests and works us in within a week or two when we need a grooming. I'm proud to support her business as she has remained professional and dedicated through it all as a one-woman show. All that said, she also does a really great job on our pup! Sasha always looks so fresh and adorable after her grooming and smells so nice. The cute seasonally themed bandanas are also a nice touch! We love Flying Fur and will continue to be customers regardless of where Aimee moves her shop :)

Our dog Rocco had a blast hanging out with all the other pups and soaking up the fun atmosphere. We also got to try some new spots -- Dirty Soda and Walk Away Waffles -- and both were delicious! The drinks and waffles totally hit the spot. We can't wait to come back again and shop for Rocco in Lola's and Penelope's store. Such a fun, dog-friendly event and an awesome day overall!

I watched her youtube videos describing how she got started and her love for animals and her career was so refreshing. Her communication was absolutely amazing- she checked in prior to in efforts to understand what I was looking for and also met me outside to drop my pup off. The communication, especially the photos, throughout the appointment was so fun and greatly appreciated.. in addition to the report card. I love being able to follow my puppy's experience and Jamelia is phenomenal at that. She texted before Lily was ready and Lily was enjoying some sun when I arrived to pick her up.
