Out of business. Wasted trip, so unfortunate because it looked like it was going to be solid.

Unbelievable food and healthy portions! The jerk chicken fell off the bone and the yellow rice & beans/candied yams were just as impressive.

FYI - I am from NYC. I've been to Jamaica, all over.. from home-cooked meals to resort/restaurant…read morefood... I love Jamaican cuisine. I came to Bethlehem PA to visit a few brothers. I wanted them to get out the box and find me some good food that is not from a pizzeria, WaWa's, GIANT Supermarket, etc. We settled on....... JAMAICAN! "Yes!", I thought. But, tbh, I wasn't expecting much out here. But boy, I was proven wrong with Cherry's Caribbean Palace: - Curry Goat: Soft, tender, hearty, healthy meat. It was cooked perfect. Not gamy or chewy, but exactly what you'd expect when you think curry goat. Perfect, mild, yellow, Jamaican curry style flavor. - Curry Chicken: You know Cherry's is authentic by how to they chop up the chicken. Bones and meat - it's not a thoughtless dish. You have to work at it, but so worth it. Doesn't seem like it's those hormone-pumped, farm raised chicken. Again with perfect, mild, Jamaican curry flavor. Not too spicy at all. - Jerk Chicken: Fire, in the traditional island jerk sense. Made a few of us sweat. Healthy, meaty portions. Skin was perfectly cooked with the jerk. It wasn't falling apart, like other places. - Jerk Pork: It's jerk, but you can taste the Jamaican pork, 'bbq' aspect, if you know what I mean. It has a, imo, a bit of tangy hint. Which is why I rate it Delicious. - The beef patties: oh man, the beef patties. The ground meat inside was not liquified (think pizzeria beef patties), and it wasn't dry crumbs (think supermarket fast food beef patties). It was top notch. You can tell because Cherry's cook their beef patties with a little slit/hole on the top of the patty (I assume they do this because they know how they want to cook the meat inside). Frickin' loved the beef patties. - Oxtail: the meat itself was quality; not full of ligaments or fatty parts. It wasn't dry and overcooked. It was perfectly made. And the sauce, ooh, the sauce. It's not like how other restaurants would use the same kind of base & spices, but at Cherry's, they have a specific oxtail sauce that is distinct, and quite lovely. - Everything came with rice and peas (great consistency, soft, but not watery or clumpy), perfect balance for all the spicy entrees above. - Everything came with cooked cabbage (fresh, crunchy, and not slimy) - Everything came with sweet plantains (ripe & sweet with a little tinge) Call ahead to order! Much better to work with them direct - not Uber eats! They are good people. When picking up. The gentlemen let us know that they'd bring the food out to our car. It might look like a 'hole in the wall' (no offense), BUT IT'S THE REALEST FOOD. It made me and my boys' stomachs very happy. Thank you Cherry's.. we're definitely going to be a good, repeat customer.

Loved the food from here so much, we ordered it for my dad's birthday party. This is a big deal,…read morebecause 1) my dad's a huge foodie, 2) the rest of our family are also huge foodies. We're a (mostly) Indian family, so we're flavour fanatics, and most of us are pretty well-traveled. My uncles are the type to go hunt down "the best" of any dish in whichever city they're in, so I felt some pressure picking the food for the first event I was ever hosting at my place. Winston's didn't fail me. Everyone ate past full, and leftovers went quick. It's not the sort of place you go to sit down & eat, but totally go grab something to pig out on for a family dinner, movie night, random craving... The portions are amazing, too - I over-ordered for sure even though we had more people than chairs here. Great value, drool-worthy food. The smell will kill you on the drive home. My favorite is the goat curry; the husband LOVES the jerk chicken.

So looking for delicious and…read morehealthy food is hard to come by, but I went on Yelp and searched Caribbean food, and this is the first restaurant that popped up with the best reviews. As far as his food, it taste spectacular, but the portion control is left to be desired. I purchased oxtails, which I understand is an expensive meat, but the portion I received was skimpy and I felt I could've got a little more on my plate for that price, but the taste was spot on. I also ordered some stew chicken which was really good and the portion size was pretty decent. Would I go back? absolutely maybe not for oxtails due to the portion size, but the other food was very good. The Customer Service was amazing. Mr. Winston was great with educating us on the various Foods that he sold and the culture that came behind it. The ambience of the restaurant was nice very relaxing and gave off the ambience is also very nice. Very welcoming and inviting again if I'm ever in the area, I surely will check this place

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.
