We purchased a new HVAC system in July 2020. We were told by the representative that we would receive a $450 rebate, which ultimately made our decision to go with this company. Their prices were about the same as others, but the rebate made it a little bit of a better deal. After speaking with the company in April 2021, we were told that there was no rebate after ONCOR ran out of funds. I continued to get the same excuse and no help on how to receive the rebate we were promised when we were sold the unit. Poor customer service and we were lied to about the overall price and rebate. read more

Beware of this contractor!!! Daniels AC did a great job installing 2 new units in our house in 2013. We've had them come back every year for maintenance. This year the technician (KD) advised we needed a damper in the system to augment airflow to one of the bedrooms, a new drip pan, and a new compressor for one of the units. Total cost is well over $1800. We were suspicious and called another contractor. Good thing we did because it turned out we didn't need any of those things. Just need to have the drain line cleaned out. I'd like to think this is a simple misdiagnosis but to suggest a new drip pan ($335) and damper and new compressor on a 5 yr old Trane ($1200 labor) is a not a simple mistake. He also left the outside water hose running all night and never closed the ladder door to the attic. I was loyal to Daniels but not anymore. read more

We bought a AC/Heating system for our house about 6 years ago and it was the best decision we've made! They had the best prices (and we compared) & they have quality people working! Called Daniels AC for emergency work on my AC. Capacitor went out and had to be replaced. Capacitor lists for $100 online. Daniel's AC was gracious enough to mark it up 570% to $570.00. They charged me $187 for the service call and added 2 lbs of coolant (at $86/lb) b/c my system was "low.". Who knows if my system really needed it. Stay away from these people. read more

Their response was great with same day service. The service tech did a nice job diagnosing the issue with my ac unit. The service tech was also very nice and explained everything. The quoted price to replace a simple thermostat was 3x-4x the DIY price. I replaced it myself in 15 minutes. I really struggle to find decent pricing with AC contractors. Seems like they all look for people with zero mechanical intellegance and then try to rip off the consumer. This is my third one, same results. read more

Our A/C went out on us last Thursday. Tech came out, diagnosed the problem and said he needed to order the part. The part did not arrive until Monday (which is poor considering I can overnight a smoked brisket to my dad from Texas to Oregon for Father's Day). The tech came on Monday, installed the part, in the process he put a hole in the freon line so all of the freon leaked out. He soldered the line and dripped solder into my unit causing further damage, he put freon in (not the correct amount) then he jury rigged a replacement part that the technician from another Trane Dealer said was the wrong thing to do. So thanks to the incompetents at Daniels, I am still without air conditioning during 90 to 100 degree weather. I would not recommend them at all. I will post a picture of the jury rigged part that was connected, then stuck back into the box and wrapped with electrical tape. read more

I had an emergency back up at my house and gave Daniels Air all my information and address to fix the clogged sewer line. I gave them all the information they needed and advised them where the line was located. They have been to my house before and were familiar with the location. They stated someone would be out that day to unclog the line. The technician called me at 11 and I missed his call. When I called him back at they had canceled my appointment which caused me to have to find someone else but the problem was now with the time frame I was working with I was forced to call an emergency plumber who was going to charge me extra due to the only available appointment was after hours. I will never use this company again and will be filing a complaint with bb. read more

My wife and I have been using Daniels Air Inc since we moved to Highland Village in 1987. During the past 25 years we have purchased three A/C and heating units for our house during this time frame. Throughout this time we have exclusive used their service & maintenance as well. Never has there been an occasion where we have second guessed or questioned the service & repairs. Each & every time they have been extremely prompt and courteous with their services regardless of the sweltering heat outside. Most recently when it came time to purchase a new unit for the bottom floor of our home, they provided the necessary information on various levels of efficiency so we can make the most appropriate decision for our household situation & circumstances. We are both retired now but never did we feel pressure to purchase the higher level performance unit but reviewed the several options they willingly provided us. Our most recent purchased (June 1st) with the removal of the old unit and the installation of the new unit with Chris & Jerry installing the unit in tandem work was nothing but complimentary, courteous and professionalism. I would unequivocally recommend Daniels Air whoever may be considering a purchase or looking for a service provider. In fact we had Daniels Air installed a system for our Mother-In-Law in Colleyville because this is how comfortable and secured concerning the services we've received from them. I called Daniels Air to get a quote to repace two secondary condinsation pans. The individual called ahead and was pleasent when he arrived. After looking at the pans (5 minutes) and reviewing some information from an inspectors report he verbally gave me an estimate for $600. I indicated at that price I would need to get an additional estimate. He then prepared an invoice for $79 which was never discussed with me when requesting the estimate. If there is a service charge for an estimate then I expect to be given that information at the onset of the conversation. I have no respect for companys that pull this type of activity! Signed up with Daniels Air for twice yearly maintenance in Spring 2014. A/C developed a leak over the weekend. Called Daniels and scheduled an appt. Guy shows and is in attic for maybe 15 minutes. Comes down and tells me that it will be $1,036 to repair. Asked for a better price - just said this is what our list prices say. I said no thanks and he said that will be $79.00. WORST service encounter that I've had in a long time! read more

We were so pleased with the service provided by Robert with Daniels Air Inc. Robert was prompt, courteous and very knowledgable. Our AC went out over the weekend and we first called an HVAC company that we heard an ad for on the radio. I won't name the company but the technician that came out on Sunday advised of thousands of dollars in repairs needed and that likely a full system replacement would be needed. This conclusion was drawn after a 20 minute inspection. We decided to contact another company to inspect on Monday before moving forward with the large scope of repairs or replacement. Daniels came out and had our system up and running within an hour along with a clear explanation of the issue. The cost was reasonable & very fair we felt. An hour after the appointment window of time I called to see where the tech was. Company couldn't tell me where he was. The tech called back and said he had just awakened because he had worked til midnite. My time is just as valuable as the time billed for service. Daniels Air AND Plumbing - THE worst company I have ever used. A/C side wanted to replace entire system. Plumbing side wanted to rerun the entire gas line from the meter to the house - only the riser need to be replaced. Walked out to check on plumber only to find him urinating ON my house! Spoke to owner who did not have to much of a problem with that. They were contracted to do A/C side before plumbing issue. When I complained owner had a tantrum and decided to walk away from both A/C and Plumbing jobs! Did me a favor - 2 other A/C companies agreed that I only needed to replace parts not entire unit. Saved $$$$$ by not using them. I had called Atmos out when I smelled the gas leak. They shut off the gas and showed me where the pipe was damaged - where it came out of the ground and had been damaged by 40 years of being hit by a weed whacker. New plumber came with a piece of pipe the exact length and shape needed - because it is a standard repair. Since permits were pulled work had to be inspected. Since work passed city inspection that in itself shows the entire line did not need to be replaced. Daniels Air also would not release the permits they had pulled and tried to prevent another contractor from pulling permits for the work. read more
