My husband bought me an opal pendant here for Christmas which has a very pretty, but very delicate necklace that broke a month or two after I got it, so he took it back and they fixed it for me. He said they did the repair for free because he bought me a matching ring, which is beautiful! The only thing is the necklace broke again in a few weeks and I have never had any of my other ones break. I'm not rough on them. I would just switch out the chain, but the pendant is a pinkish gold that wouldn't look right with a different chain, or at least not as pretty. So back I go to get it repaired or at this point replaced, and they asked me if I had the insurance on it or whatever they call it that supposedly covers repairs. And I said I didn't know because it's a gift, so she was willing to speak with my husband on my phone to determine where his order was because he lost the receipt. She said sometimes the repair cost more than the insurance. In this case it would be around 70$, and the repair was going to be 25$. She did, to her credit reduce the price to 15 for me. Then she said that the necklace had been thrown in with the purchase of the pendant that my husband picked out. In my opinion it would be nice if that didn't matter in terms of the replacement value whether they had thrown it in with purchase or not. Am I crazy?, or don't many pendants come with the chain? If it breaks again, I will ask for a new one and if they can't I will ask to speak with the manager. I also would have preferred she had not told me they gave him the chain with the purchase because it was a gift and I didn't want to know that. I'm going with 4 stars because they are courteous and helpful there and she complimented my husband saying he was sweet for getting me the gifts. We'll say how it turns out and if the chain holds up and will update review if needed. I also want a convenient place for my husband to be able to shop and do want to continue to like this place. read more

The store is clean and organized, I was helped right away, and even if you are waiting they acknowledge you and let you know that they will be right with you. I don't really ever purchase jewelry for myself, but went in to exchange earrings I had purchased at the Parkway Plaza location, worst mistake ever. I should have just gone to the Grossmont location where I opened up my account initially. Elivia and her team were amazing. My wife took her wedding ring to be sized. Weeks later (they didn't call her, she called them) she went to pick it up. They showed her a different, but similar, ring and tried to convince her that it looked different because they'd 'antiqued' it. it's a gold ring and the one they wanted to swap was thinner, lighter, and had significantly less gold. Hmmmmm... It was absolutely a different ring. It was only after I showed them my matching ring that they caved and said, "Oh, we'll fix it" and tried to end the conversation quickly. A week later they called and like magic, the real ring was there and ready. Be very careful that you actually get YOUR jewelry back from them. Any store that would try to swap a woman's wedding ring is probably not trustworthy. read more

Well the lying needs to stop I bought a ring for my wife like a month ago. They tell you the interest rate is 2. Something, so as we get all the paper work done there still no interest in writing I tell her where is it? So after a week or so I get the paper work for 28% interest that sure made me pissed thank god I didn't leave a big remanding balance so I'm going in maybe next weekend to pay it off I wouldn't want anyone else going through this because I dint want to break my wife's heart by telling her about the way the company is. But Daniels let me tell you, you sure lost a valuable customer. Talking about junk mail I get more letters with junk from them than bills lol but please do your research and make sure everything is in writing before giving this thief's money. ***UPDATE*** After speaking with the district manager we have made a plan and they have promised me resolve. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! My boyfriend and I were shopping one day and we came across this ring at Daniel's which was absolutely GORGEOUS. While we were in the store the sales person Mary told us that the jewelry was buy one get one free if we wanted to purchase the ring. We did not purchase it yet but the deal would continue for a few more days. My boyfriend went in on December 1st to purchase the ring while the promotion was still active. When he got there he was told by Mary that she explained the deal wrong the first time and that the ring we were looking at was not included in that promotion unless it was bought and paid for in full (without the current sale price). He bought the ring regardless. I received the ring for Christmas and it was even prettier than I remembered. I brought it to Daniel's on December 26th to submit it for sizing. I was told it would be ready on Wednesday, January 1. I got a call on the 28th from Sharine informing me that they did not realize the ring was rose gold plated and that they didn't have the plating they needed, but the ring would be ready on Saturday January 11th instead. I was upset but fine, I could wait a week. I get a call on December 30th that I missed from Daniel's, and had a voicemail, the girl who called did NOT leave her name but called to tell me that it would be ready on Wednesday the 1st around 3 pm. On Wednesday I went to Daniel's to be told by Sharine that the ring would once more not be ready until the 11th, that they didn't realize it was plated and that while the ring was now sized it was not plated and that was the cause of delay. At this point I'm frustrated but it is what it is I will wait. I get a call yesterday January 3rd and told my ring will be ready this Saturday. Great! it's a week early! I call this afternoon January 4th at 12:56 pm and give my name again and ask what time i can pick up the ring and I'm told the ring should be in by 3 pm. I get a call back at around 1:30pm being told that I was told the ring wouldnt be in until the 11th. This is when I lost it. I ask why it's so disorganized and when can i get my ring!!!!! From here the employees behavior is outrageous. Sharine tells me WITH attitude that she TOLD me that it would be ready on the 11th and she doesnt know who i talked to but they gave me the wrong information. I hang up and i'm seething at this point. I want recourse so I call back and ask the phone number for their General Manager. I am told that they are not allowed to give me his number. I tell them that thats B.S. they then begin obstructing my ability to not only speak to a manager (who is apparently on vacation) but to get the general managers' information as well It turns in to a shouting match. I then ask for the names of the employees there, at first they refuse to give me names I told them I can comedown in person and get the names myself and find the General Managers phone number myself. I finally get names and then I ask who sold me the ring, up until this point all they needed was my name when i called in. They then start to pretend that they don't know who i am. They ask if i purchased the ring and so i grabbed my boyfriend who was standing there and he gives them his information, they claim they dont have a record of the transaction and i need a receipt number for them to help me. I get the receipt number and they ask how it was paid for we said by credit card and they try to tell me they have no record of the purchase. I tell them I'm looking at the credit card receipt and that they DO have record. She then starts arguing with me that it was a cash transaction. after a few minutes she says "oh here it is it was marked as a cash transaction because it wasn't financed *again not my problem* I FINALLY get the names and tell them this needs to be fixed. I ask how this even happened at which point Sharine tells me that their jeweler (who is in north county) does not have the equipment to replate it and has to get the plating and thats the hold up. I asked WHY in the world they would send my ring to a Jeweler who doesn't have the tools to fix my ring!!!! we go back and forth for a bit and finally i am given these options: 1. i have no choice but to wait until next saturday 2. they will exchange the ring for another ring which I would then have to drive to Parkway Plaza (their sister store) and give it to them myself and have them size it and get it back by Monday because their jeweler has all the tools they need. 3. they get my ring from the jeweler by wednesday and i would have to take it to another jeweler and pay for them to fix the ring (out of my own pocket) 4. I just return the ring and get a full refund. I ask why i simply cant go and pick up my ring from the jeweler or why they cant have it brought down and handed to their other store who can fix it and they say "thats not how we do it" read more

After helping us look at and try on several rings we settled on two and she went to work to get us financed ( they have 2-3 options ). Because my fiancé requested a specific ring Kanara was having issues figuring out how to process, but, with the help of Elvia (Store Manager) they both completed the sale and we were off with our items and free gifts!! My fiancé got my engagement ring at this location. When I asked who helped pick it out he said that Britney had and that she was a lot of help since he had no clue where to start. Every time I would go in with him to pay I would look around, even though he did a great job at picking out my first ring it wasn't rose gold like I wanted. He always told me to switch it or pick another one and other ladies there would try to convince me but I always said no...that is until I noticed this perfect rose gold heart shaped ring existed. Britney was there that day (huge coincidence, 2nd time I'd seen her). Took my engagement ring in on a Monday to have some prongs straightened and have it cleaned and polished. Was told it would be ready three days later (on a Thursday). Then at the last minute receive a call that when the jeweler stopped by to drop it off it was incomplete/unfinished so he has to go back to finish the job and it will take another 2 days (Saturday at 5pm it will be ready). Don't go here for jewelry repair or service! I don't blame the customer service rep who I spoke with, she was apologetic and friendly, this falls 100% on the jeweler not being thorough with his job. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE... I always try to shop "small" whenever I can, and I purchased a watch for my husband at grossmont center in one of the smaller stores, and I loved the experience. Not at this crap store. The salesperson who I purchased a man's bracelet from, was so extremely rude, (didn't look up from what she was doing until I was already at the counter, with an empty store no less) and I had all my receipts to pick up the bracelet which I had to get sized, she wouldn't release it to me because "it was against company policy" because my husband dropped it off. I purchased it from her, had my receipt, and she said he had to pick it up. When you see a man pick up his own dry cleaning, repairs or anything, you let me know. Even my drivers licence was not good enough for her. I buy him a nice gift every other year, and her horrible attitude, snarly face and incoherent English will keep me out of this pit forever. read more
