My fiancé got my engagement ring custom made here and was extremely happy as am I with the results! Everything is done in house and can create exactly what you imagine. Customer service is outstanding and super friendly. I went in to get my ring re sized and they happily did it free of charge and let me know I can stop by whenever I want to get my ring cleaned! Even twice a day forever, free ring cleaning! What an outstanding place that created the most perfect ring for me! Wow, Pierre takes care of you, especially the veterans. As a vet myself, I picked up a 22k gold chain in Jordan, but unfortunately, I never wore it. I walked into his store to see if I could have it changed into a ring that matched my watch. Pierre did better than I could have asked. He got it done in less than three weeks. He used my leftover gold toward the purchase and gave me a great deal. Long story short, Pierre is the man!!!! read more

I don't believe there is a better jeweler than Pierre's Jewelers, in La Mesa,CA and Here's is why. I have known Pierre since 1989. I was a struggling student at SDSU, working full time in construction to pay the bills. I met the woman of my dreams and we wanted to get married. Of course I had no money and drove a ratty old 76 Pinto, I know, and she still loved me. All we could think about was being together So I asked her to marry me. She said yes! But one thing I forgot the ring. I passed Pierre's on my way home everyday so I thought I would stop in. The rest is history. Pierre was so gracious and kind and helpful he made a nerve racking experience as calm and cool as possible. Pierre had a large task of combining a family heirloom ring from my Mother with new diamonds and my wife styled the ring to her liking. to top it off, Pierre aloud me to make payments until it was paid off. Pierre assured me that he was giving me a deal. But all I could do was take his word for it. I knew nothing about jewelry. Two Years later we had moved away from California, and my wife wanted to have her ring cleaned. went into a mall jeweler. They gave her an estimate of value that exceeded the actual amount I paid by more than double. That was incredible. I made sure that all of my roommates and friends knew where to go to get their wedding rings. Now, 2 of our 7 children have gotten their wedding sets custom made by Pierre. I just had my ring resized after 34 years. It came out so shiny and new. Once again, Pierre came through like he always does. I don't believe there is a better Jeweler anywhere. My husband I went in for some (cheap) jewelry repair and were greeted right away and helped quickly. Christian was extremely kind, explained what he was going to have to do since it was cheap jewelry and he could not put heat to it and he was still able to fix it. He noticed my wedding ring could use a cleaning and offered to clean it for me for free. He had time to fix the jewelry that day and was done quite quickly. Pierre is very courteous and professional. I was happy to go to a family owned business and my mom has been dealing with him since I was a kid. I got a very fair deal on a ring and the final product was made from scratch and much more than my fiancé and I were hoping for. She has been showing it to everyone since. Pierre did my wedding band over eight years ago. He was so kind and patient. The ring is such good quality and still looks perfect after all these years. We had a horrible experience with a large local jeweler (you've probably heard advertised on the radio). Overpriced rings and pushy sales people. I had a center diamond that was given to me by my father as a college graduation gift. I had no intent of ever wearing the solitaire as a necklace, so I thought it would be nice to use as the center stone when we got engaged. The first (terrible) jeweler I brought it to sneered at me and asked if it was even "real." It was humiliating. I was simply looking for a nice setting to put it in for our engagement ring. I was urged by a coworker to go to Pierre's. And I'm so glad I did. He was the most kind and gracious jeweler I've ever come across. When I brought in the diamond and explained I was looking for a setting he actually complemented the stone... it was quite literally the opposite experience I had from the other jewler. My diamond was not in fact "fake" like the last place accused....it was actually a very good quality diamond when he did the setting and appraisal. I've always said I would probably not have gotten engaged, or had an engagement ring if it wasn't for Pierre. He took something that meant a lot to me (a gift from my father) and incorporated into a very important next chapter of my life. He has been a pleasure to work with all these years. read more

I had a wedding ring set and a few other odd pieces of value that were getting zero use but I really wanted made into a necklace! Pierre was able to take all my jewelry and make it into a beautiful piece I can proudly wear and one day pass on. I was also able to sell gold I had from broken/missing earring/unwanted pieces which made all the difference when it came to $. I really wanted to support this local business and buy a band here, however, I didn't come back after my initial visit. I went on a morning that wasn't busy at all so I was glad I had time to browse and maybe try on a few bands. With two other couples in the shop, the gentleman who helped me made me feel rushed. He answered my questions vaguely and seemed annoyed when I asked to try on one band while he had helped out the couple before me with clear enthusiasm. It would have been great if he suggested that I made an appointment if that's what was preferred instead of being made to feel like I was a bother. read more

The owner is super helpful, honest and does not try to up sale you on anything that is not actually aligned with what you need/want. They are beyond professional and super easy to work with. Came here a couple weeks ago to get my brother's chain fixed. Pierre was very informative and very helpful. Took him a while and I don't recall getting a call when it was done, so I went in unannounced three weeks later and it had been done for about a week. We've known Pierre and his wife for 35+ years. Since before they opened their first store. They are the best. Very professional and knowledgeable. To be around that long shows they do things the right way. Haven't seen them for a few years and have moved to Colorado. While in town visiting we took the wife's ring in to have the prongs rebuilt and her pearls restrung. Of course they did a great job and quickly. Love them both. Wouldn't go anywhere else. When it comes to jewelry repair and customer service, I don't think it gets any better than Pierre's Jewelers. I went in to get some 14kt white gold rhodium plated. Not only were they half the price of every other jeweler that I received quotes from in San Diego, they were also able to offer same day service. Other Jewelers had at least a 4-5 day turn around at best. I also get my Rolex Serviced here with great prices as well. I have never actually purchased anything from them, but the prices of the pieces on display look pretty good and of great quality. I have never left this place without feeling great about my transaction! read more

I popped in for a battery replacement that took mere moments...then, when I discovered the next day…read morethat my entire watch was on the fritz, I came back in hot thinking that the battery replacement had damaged the watch. Mo was a consummate professional, counseling me that the problem had predated the battery replacement, explaining what had caused the current issue, and offering to make a full repair. He then comped my repair because I had (incorrectly!) thought that his battery replacement had caused the damage and he (correctly!) stands by his work. When I realized my mistake and apologized and tried to pay for the repair, he refused to let me and said that he hoped he'd see me again as a customer. I will not only be back, but will share this story with anyone looking for a place that operates with both skill and integrity. My husband had this original designer ring rush ordered for Mother's Day and I noticed only a week later that the plating wasn't right... The inside of the ring had some tool clamp markings and discoloration from the plating not being finished correctly in the final process of rhodium plating. (I decided not to fault the designer due to such a fine piece being rushed on my husband's request to gift it to me in time, and this is why hand crafted pieces shouldn't be rushed) I took it to Joel and he went above and beyond for me to make my dream ring absolutely flawless and PERFECT! I knew from my last visit that this jeweler would fix my ring to perfection. Such a wonderful experience each and every time. I'm going to have a custom wedding band made in the near future with Dery too! Thanks again!
