On black Friday my husband purchased a 1 carat diamond ring for me from the Hanford Daniel's Jewelers. The ring did not fit, and I also wanted to see about exchanging it for a different style. I explained this to a lady who promptly informed me that she was new, and didn't really know what to do. She walked over to the computer and started typing, my husband told her he had his Daniel's card that he had used, and he also had the receipt at home (we would go get it). She finally looked at us and said that there was no way for her to look up the purchase because their systems didn't talk to one another, "you'll just have to go back to the original store", an hour and 45 minutes away. My husband said he regrets purchasing the ring from them because we also found out you have to pay for the insurance in order to size up your ring and only by 2 sizes; he was told (when he called Paso location) that they would size up the ring no charge. Don't even bother shopping here, there are better jewelry stores here in town who have better customer service, and the inside of the store doesn't look completely rundown. read more

Purchased jewelry insurance on wedding band, this band was a couple grand and the insurance was additional cost on top of the price of ring. $300 for the insurance that covers ring repair and resizing for three years, apparently mine expired two months ago. Fabulous. Will take my business to more reputable jewelers in future, another jeweler would have stood by their product. Lesson learned. read more

Terrible! Slow, 0 knowledge by employees, then they contact you and havepeople call from restricted numbers leaving messages you can't understand cause of the overly Indian accent. Place has had many problems for me over the years. The service is crap. So advice, might want to have customer service reps be able to speak clear English, let's not forget we are in America. I took my ring in to get resized and i got it back in great condition till i cleaned it like i always do every once in awhile and i noticed it made a line appear where they had cut it and i was like ok no biggie just a line that only i will see but then a few days later i take off my ring and notice it is in two where the line was so i take it back they "fix it" and and this time u could clearly see the line and dents and how wonky they made my ring they ended giving my money back after i waited for the manager to come in but if you don't know how to resize rings then don't offer it! I was searching everywhere for a silicone wedding ring. On my way to Walmart, where I ultimately found one, I popped into Daniel's just to ask if they had them. My exchange with Kimberly, who seemed to be in charge and running the show there. "Hi. Do you sell silicone wedding rings?" Kimberly, without even looking up from her phone. "No.........jewelry store!" Now, I get it that silicone rings are not jewelry, but I thought that maybe, since they sell rings, and since I'm certainly not the first person to ask her this question, maybe she would have a little info for me, or at least she'd be capable of a friendly exchange, especially because I was the only person in the store. But no. Kimberly wouldn't even do me the common courtesy of looking up from her phone. Her tone was incredibly rude and condescending and she had that look on her face like somebody was holding a plate of dogshit under her nose. I had always heard bad things about Daniel's, but now I can confirm that at least the one in Paso is run by a snotty, rude, unfriendly woman. After posting my lengthy, accurate and truthful review, Daniels responded and told me to come in so they can help me. I decided to go in after finding out the manager, Cindy, is no longer there. I told the girls everything I dealt with, went through and how loyal of a customer I was. Told them what I wanted and needed done to my ring after they butchered it and they still tried to charge me over $1k! They pretty much stole money from me, charging me for rings and then shaving half of the Bands away. I want my bands fixed and put back to their original state. They still will not fix their mistake for free. Honestly, I don't know if I'd want them to work on my ring again considering they're the ones that messed it up. Thousands and thousands of dollars put into this ring and they can't fix their mistake. Go anywhere else but here! Very upset about the whole situation. read more

Came in around noon on a Sunday. I was looking for a ring snuggie or some other possible fix for a ring that was 1/2 size too big. It felt like the man helping me just couldn't be bothered. He lost a golden opportunity to help me find a similar ring that would work- note, I had money in my purse and was open to suggestion. This store is really bad. They offer returns but then when I found that what they sold me in the store was over 2x as expensive as the same item on their online they didn't want to allow me to return it. After much debate they agreed to take it back. A month later a diamond fell out and they wanted time to buy their warranty plan. This place gives me the same vibe of buying something off the street. For instance maybe it's not fake, maybe it is, but it probably won't last one way or the other and I'm most certainly being scammed. I also wasn't incredibly blown away by the inventory. read more

The most important thing a business can do is be open on time, it's particularly upsetting to have waited outside for 20+ min for and establishment to open late. But to be turned away for another 30 min. Very irresponsible of the establishment to hire staff who aren't punctual. I went in late in the afternoon on Valentine's day, hoping to get a last minute gift for my partner. I'd been running errands all day, and was dressed simply in a tshirt and jeans - nothing fancy but clean and average looking. When I entered, there were three employees working - one woman at a desk behind the counter towards the rear of the store, and an older woman explaining to a younger male employee who seemed to be new why some earrings were more expensive than others, that these earrings go in THIS box, never THAT box, etc. I had walked more than half way around the store without even being acknowledged when another woman, professionally dressed, entered the store, and was immediately greeted. Lesson to Daniel's: Don't judge books by covers, nor potential customers by the way they're dressed. You lost a sale today, and I'll never again step foot in your store. Went in shortly after 11 today 12/21 to purchase a special set of earrings and get my pre-teens ears pierced for Christmas. I was told they would not be doing piercings until after Christmas because of how busy they are. There were many associates and only a few other customers already being helped. A couple years ago i took my daughter here to get her ears pierced which was pretty pricey but I was ok with that because I liked the earnings and they were good quality, the manager was the only one that did piercings at that time she was very rude she actually said to me "this is why I don't like piercing kids ears" right in front of my daughter just because she cried a little. So my boyfriend and i went back in today (we were both in our work clothes t-shirts and jeans) just to get an estimate on some jewelry that I've been wanting to sell and the same manager was so rude, like she was better than us just because she was wearing suit an ugly outdated suit at that. I asked her if she knew of anywhere I can get my jewelry certified and a couple other questions and she says to me "sweetie" in a condescending voice "I don't know, as you can see I only work at this store" which came across to me as extremely unprofessional. Kimberly Watson and Sal Gutierrez went above and beyond which is why I give them an 11/10 for customer service! We brought my engagement ring to get resized, Kim was a hoot and while she was professional and precise, she kept us laughing the entire time. We felt safe leaving the ring in their possession as they checked all the diamonds and told us it would be kept in their safe. We had a local emergency which caused local businesses to be closed for a day or 2 which is when they had promised my ring to be ready. Time was of the essence because I had an engagement party that weekend. Once we told them that, they moved mountains in order for it to be done in time for the party. Sal had great communication and called me with multiple updates. Ring ended up being ready a few hours earlier than what they originally told me. I gotta give it to them for improvising and making things happen. My ring fit perfectly and was as sparkly as ever. Daniel's Jewelers is all about customer service I really enjoy going in here and taking a look around. Now their prices are what I would call competitive for less than super high-quality jewelry. So basically what I'm saying is if you are middle of the road to just a little bit less than middle-of-the-road then this is probably the place for you. I wouldn't call it a high pressure sales but I would call it probably just less than pressured sales. Anytime someone makes me feel like I'm doing a disservice to my wife or whomever I'm buying something for by not getting their product immediately the center red flag up for me. I do like to go in and browse I think that I'm known well enough that I'm left alone and if I see something that I want or want to explore more then attention is given to me. I really think that that's how you work an establishment is that you come in established yourself as a repeat customer whether you buy something or not and then force them to work with your temperature. That way you're in charge you are known to be in charge because let's face it this is your dollar bills that you're handing over to someone else for their product if you're not getting a dollars worth of product for a dollar then that's your fault.
